Hello to everyone else. Just finished a pile of ironing and noticed that DH has taken DD for a walk in the snow. Even though I am still full of cold I would have liked to have gone with them.

Yep, apart from a laptop to make my mumsnet life easier (I don't think Santa could fit it on his sleigh!) Got lots of alcohol which I'm saving up for July. Hope you got lots of nice things too.

Back at work on Tuesday-it has fell brilliantly for me this year as I only work Mondays and Tuesdays.

I got a electronic sudoku game which is passing today well! lol. and a digi camera (to take pics of baby when that comes, and also doggies when we get them)

We bought ourselves a new comp, which when we move we can hook to internet and I can be an at home mner too.

Bought SIL a PC Sudoku game and FIL a Suduko book as they are hooked. There were some in the Daily Mail last Saturday and I am finding them too addictive. They are supposed to be easy but I must be thick-lol.

Excellent that you can MN in the evenings too!

DH home now so just going to finish off the turkey soup. Need to get a bigger turkey next year as 18lb was just not big enough i.e. not enough leftovers.

Just wanted to say happy new year to you all - we're back from Rome which was fantastic as a city and well worth a holiday. Less good was the relentless rain and the rather black mood I was in on Christmas Day over the whole m/c thing But at least we survived it, and avoided the whole parents v parents issue.

And now there's just one more 'celebration' to get through, and then life returns to normal. Anyone else unlucky enough to have their birthday now as well? Mine's on 2nd Jan ...

well sorry i didnt explain all last night but i was rushing around tidying and sorting boys out, i finallyhave some time to myself now
Im not feeling the best at the mo as my dp has a prob i posted a thread under another name i didnt want him knowing i asked for advice as he is really what happened is whilst having sex it appears his foreskin has split in several places all was well and it healed but then had sex in the morning and it got worse!! So have been banned from any further bding until healing is complete! The problem being is it doesnt seem to be healing today is cd 14 and the lst time we bd was monday so i think i have missed this month completely i know that makes me sound soooo selfish as its not me in pain but missing a whole month is awful anyway enough of my moaning , does anyone have anything planned for new year?

we had snow about 3am this morning but the rain has washed it all away now. so unfair!

had snow here too last night and just like you mumswish, the rain washed it away before i was awake. not impressed. we are on a severe weather warning for the rest fo today though, hope it comes back, even if it won't stick.

muppet - rome sounds lovely, we had a holiday brochure arrive in the post this morning and i am so tempted to look for something, but we're hoping to go to Florida at xmas next year and really need to save as much as we can.

If we find a mega bargain then maybe we'll consider it.

Carly - Dp problem sounds very very painful. can't imagine how he is feeling, can totaly understand your frustration though. It was probably caused by lack of lubrication, i presume he's been to the docs about it. Hope it heals soon.

Well ladies thgings might not be as bad as i thought i have been looking on fetility friend and providing i have an identical cycle to last (33 days) i wil be fertile between the 31-3rd jan so there might be a bit of hope providing he is healed by monday

I thought we had totally missed our chance the month i conceived, was in a foul mood with Dh because he knew that we NEEDED to Bd, but was so tired, and i think he was ill that week, so we did it a few days before the day i predicted we needed to and bingo, so proves you never can tell when you're OV.
