I'm really pleased - got my CD3 blood test on Friday, and have booked my HSG for next Thursday. Things are starting to move

Hugs,
Artoo.

majormoo · 04/01/2006 23:26

Jane that is brilliant news. really pleased for you.

I've been feeling very sorry for myself today (after AF arriving yesterday) so it is great to read some good news.

homemama · 05/01/2006 13:28

Ok, just needed to post on here that I fainted in Tescos this morning. Felt like a right nana!
It would be very early to be a pg related fainting but I've only fainted twice before and one was when 6 wks pg (the other I was 12 and had flu)
Fell like I may have jinxed it by typing it but now wondering if once may have been enough over Christmas.
AF not due til next fri. It's going to be an anxious wait I think!

puppy · 05/01/2006 15:47

Sorry to hear about all the af's

If your lurking How are you feeling jane?

ooo Homemama how are you feeling? I shall Keep my fingers crossed for you. I do so hope it is. I am two cycle days behind you, I am feeling some very mild af like pains but not sure if this could have been caused by the smear I had on tues afternoon. I also feel really tired most of the time but this is normal for melol.

Theoretically, it could be but we didn't have much chance to make an effort as I Ovd Christmas&Boxing day.

I'm really fighting the urge to get excited as I'll be really disappointed when AF comes but I can't help it. I don't feel unwell so can't think why I would have fainted.

I may need lots of support from you guys next fri if AF arrives.

puppy · 05/01/2006 17:54

We'll be here homemama .

puppy · 05/01/2006 17:57

Can I ask any of you a personal question please don't answer if you don't want to, Have any of you had mild af like pains for a few days after a smear? , I can't remember from last time.

homemama · 05/01/2006 19:25

Puppy, I had cramps for a week after my last smear. On previous ones, I had cramps for the rest of the day.
I put the last time down to it being done by a female doctor as usually my male GP has done them. I think men tend to be more careful and gentle, whereas she was very 'quick in and out' IYKWIM. That sounds sordid!

puppy · 05/01/2006 19:33

thanks homemama, just last two times I had cramps this time of cycle was when I was pg, but thought it would probably be the smear. The nurse that did mine was so gentle I hardly felt a thing.

majormoo · 05/01/2006 19:37

Puppy-I am unfortunately now (and for the next 10 years-great) a regular for smear tests. I think it really depends on who does it. The recent one I had at the hospital was absolutely fine-no discomfort at all, but the one I had done under the GP did give me aches and pains.

Oh Homemama-could be a sign. fingers crossed.

homemama · 05/01/2006 19:38

It could also be that you're pregnant. I was convinced that AF was coming when pg with DS as I had really bad cramps in the week leading up to AF being due.
When are you due?

puppy · 05/01/2006 19:43

I am due on a week fri to sun, i have for the last few cycles had a length of 26 - 28 days, Just will have to wait and see.

staceym11 · 05/01/2006 22:44

oh homemama fingers crossed hey! well hopefully af will have finished by tomo night (have v. short bleeding time tmi i know) as we have xmas do and hotel for the night, and no dd for the whole of sat, which will be luxury as first time i wont have got up with her in the morning since she was born 14months ago!!!!

anyway.....hope everyone ok and we get some more BFPs this month!

been really downhearted this month as two of my good friends are pg and huge and really got me down today, so started smoking again really bad as i stopped as soon as i found out i was pg with dd (at 6 weeks) and hadnt gone back since (so nearly 2 years!!!!)

and i am officially going on a diet on monday morning!!!! so will be smaller portions and more water and more excercise, see if my weight has anything to do with not concieving!!!

anyway prattled on enough! good luck ladies!!!!

homemama · 06/01/2006 08:13

Sorry Puppy, had to go to DS who refused to go to sleep last night.

Stacey, doesn't smoking reduce your chance of conceiving? I know it affects sperm. Surely you'll find it easier to stop after just one day? Good luck with it.

I'm trying not to get my hopes up-and failing miserably!

Dana · 06/01/2006 08:53

Homemama, still lurking here every now and again and keeping my fingers crossed for you!! Really hope this is your month! And the same goes for the rest of you Hugs to Jen1209, hope you are keeping well.

homemama · 06/01/2006 09:52

Thank you Dana. We've not been properly trying for the past few months so I can't complain about still being on the TTC threads.

Hope you are well! You're due in June aren't you. Seems a long time since we were on the 'spring baby' thread. Hope your pg is going well.

andyrobo237 · 06/01/2006 20:18

Jen1209 · 08/01/2006 16:43

Hi all!

Hey Charlee - good to hear from you again - when are you coming home (and why, if I may be so rude as to ask?!

Hi to Dana too and hugs back, hope beanie is doing well, give my love to the other Junies, I miss you guys!

I'm ok, waiting for af to rear her ugly head tomorrow. Have had no symptoms but have nearly thrown up twice this week on the bus to work (I am never sick) and have had bad heart burn / indigestion for most of the week too so feel really weird (I never get these either

Oooohh Homemama, will keep fingers crossed for you and hoping we get another BFP soon on this thread.

Tut tut Stacey, as a born again non smoker I am wagging my finger at you! Hope you manage to stop again soon

One of my friends is now 41+2 (!!) and vvv uncomfortable - I am v that she is about to have her longed for baby but can see how desperately she wants it out!!! She had a sweep yesterday so fingers crossed she pops soon...

Right am off to look for a new bed on line now, we bought the mattress this morning (one of those memory foam ones - it's yummy!) and now I need a frame for it! After 4 years of campaigning, DP has finally agreed to give up the ex marital bed (bought by his gran as a wedding present for him and his ex wife, can you imagine how pleased I am to get rid of the thing...) I want one of those lovely sleigh beds (preferably in a suede effect) but DP is over 6 ft 4 and so cannot have a foot board otherwise he can't fit in it!)

Hugs to all,

J x
