Welcome across Rat Smackers! Glad you found the place okay. This is THE MONTH when we get those deceitful pee sticks to own up to the BLINDINGLY OBVIOUS - we are all already preggers! After all; positive people get positive pee sticks!

I hope you all like what I've done with our new home

You'll note the updated title, courtesy of farfalla. Various healthy snacks have been set out on the coffee tables, to ensure our bumps are receiving the appropriate nutritional balance

Also, my personal favourite adjustment, you'll note the strategically positioned peephole, right here, providing us with a sneaky preview of the utopian delights awaiting us in the NO BROOKING vomitorium ante-natal thread.

So let's get to it preggos! Remember: see a rat - smack it!

hope the spotting amounts to nothing but a little implantation bleed dream.

I had my fannycam follow up appointment with my gp today. I am now booked in for a list as long as my arm of blood tests next week. GP is then off for two weeks, then I on hols for a week, so won't follow up those until Sept. So fingers crossed for my ironic bfp by then hey!

scarletfingernail · 10/08/2011 20:01

Of course anyone is welcome to a chocolate cornflake cake. The whispering was because I'm ashamed that this is the height of my bakery skills Grin

Generic I reckon you'll have a BFP by the end of this week. If you do, make sure you tell us. Forget about the triple announcement. WE WANT TO KNOW!

GenericDietCola · 10/08/2011 20:04

Oh Little fingers firmly crossed for ironic BFP before you get your results.

Scarlet nothing to be ashamed of! Oh crikey, I'll try to wait as long as possible. I quite like the fantasy idea that I am at the moment and I don't want to ruin it with a BFN.

scarletfingernail · 10/08/2011 20:09

"Positve pee sticks, when do we want them? By the end of next week!"

GenericDietCola · 10/08/2011 20:13

Hurrah! I feel better now! Right, must get back to work, loads still to do that I didn't fit in during the day due to obsessive Googling and MNing

scarletfingernail · 10/08/2011 20:30

Sorry, meant any update dream? Blush getting confused in my stressed out state

Solars · 10/08/2011 20:37

Yum cornflake cakes one of my favs, so I thought you girls on the 2ww might appreciate maybe some fun five qs? If not i'll just skulk off to the back to munch on my cornflake cake...

  1. So when you get your BFP excluding hubby/partner who will be the first person you tell?
2.When is it too soon to think about winter? The reason I ask is I went into a well known clothes shop last week in London and they were already selling winter coats & jumpers!!! 3.Which bad habits of your DH or DP drive you crazy? 4.Hubby (although he fell asleep 3/4 of the way through) and I watched The Green Mile last week and I was blubbing away so badly that I blubs actually woke hubby up and he was terrified something bad had really happened so what movies have you watched that have moved you to tears? 5.What's the weirdest thing you've ever eaten?

By the way thanks Have.

Dream hope you're ok.

GenericDietCola · 10/08/2011 21:00

OK, I've concentrated on work for nearly an hour.

Oh I love fun questions!

  1. Think it will be my mum because she keeps asking how I am because she's obviously expecting there to be News (but I will wait until 12 wk scan)
  2. Already thinking about winter oop north! It's freezing cold and been raining all day (oh and see maternity clothes fantasy above!)
  3. He is perfect in every way and certainly doesn't annoy me by pretending he can't hear me when I talk to him whilst he is watching highly important sporting events
  4. Life is Beautiful - fantastic film
  5. Erm, nothing really. I've had snails, but I'm sure all you worldly-wise lot will have had them too.
NinjaChipmunk · 10/08/2011 21:18

yay! random silly questions!

  1. my nct group as i see them every week and they know how long i've been trying, i'd explode if i didn't tell them.
2.since this summer has been pretty non existent so far i think its fine to think about it now 3.blowing his nose in the sink, seriously, its horrible. and not flushing the loo when he's done a wee. yuck. 4.plenty of films have done that! 5.a load of shells that were glued on to a box my mum owned. i was very small. my dad was in charge for the day.

i baked some banana and raspberry muffins yesterday if anyone wants one? they are still fluffy and soft!

scarletfingernail · 10/08/2011 21:28

Oooh thanks for the muffin Ninja

  1. First of all after DH will be my GP. Very boring I know, but I want an official positive pee stick so that if I mc again it's all official and I can't be fobbed off re gynae appointment. After that will be my Mum and Dad and maybe my best friend. Will be keeping it a secret then from the rest of RL until 12 week scan.
  1. Winter's here isn't it? At least it seems like it is where I live.
  1. DH is a mouth breather. Admittedly it's not really a habit but it is the most annoying thing about him. Worst habit is eating really noisily, too quickly and with his mouth open. I despair when he gets invited for meals with clients.
  1. The Green Mile, Saving Private Ryan, Leaving Las Vegas are the ones that really made me blub.
  1. I'm really boring with food and don't often dare try new things so I honestly can't say I've ever eaten anything unusual.
dreamfeeder · 10/08/2011 22:12

Right. update is no more spotting so far but i'm not optimistic. My options are 1. believe i am just a narky cow or 2. accept i may be pre-menstrual....

  1. after DH i will tell family and a friend who told me straight away and I confessed we were trying to
  2. it is definitely too soon to thnk about winter, unless it is to plan a winter holiday. Best ignore me though, I'm not exactly a style icon. I recently realised my jeans were 10 years old!!! and my best friens always nags me for being too coservative with my clothes
3.DH is scrooge. driving me mad with it 4.eternal sunshine of the spotless mind- still traumatised by it
  1. also scared of wierd foods and was vegetarian for 15 years (until DD was born- meat eater now!!) so nil of note!!

good luck for your blood tests little!! action is good though right?! Positive action of course.

dreamfeeder · 10/08/2011 22:15

err, and i can't spell- FRIEND and CONSERVATIVE...

dreamfeeder · 10/08/2011 22:19

and generic, i KNEW at 11 dpo with DD, how very, very exciting. If there will not be a triple confirmation with BFP's, there must at least be a double... you sound highly knocked up. As do you scarlett, I am full of confidence you are both highly preggo Grin, symptoms galore between you!!!

and yes, info as soon as you both crack and test Grin

NinjaChipmunk · 10/08/2011 22:20

i can't see me getting a shag tonight. dp went to work at about 7am this morning and bless him, he's still there!

dreamfeeder · 10/08/2011 22:25

its only day 9 for you though isn't it ninja? or 10? when do you normally ov? if it is now, you'll have to be very, very seductive or insistent

NinjaChipmunk · 10/08/2011 22:29

its day 9 but the egg white arrived this afternoon. I guess its not so bad to wait till tomorrow but he better give a good shag if i have to wait that long! the shagathon was supposed to start a couple of days ago but we still haven't managed it once!
Still, can't blame him for tonight, he'll be cream crackered when he gets home.

dreamfeeder · 10/08/2011 22:38

Yeah, horrendously long day ninja, he is allowed the night off.... you'll make up for it tmw Wink

jaggythistle · 10/08/2011 23:01

i am kind of hoping for a security SWI tonight, think DH will run away though!

not 100% sure if temp rise was real today, kind of cocked up thermometer operation while half asleep.
still got a bit of EWCM although after rummage check this morning cervix does seem lower. yes, i checked everything.

can't wait for all these confirmations of BFPs!

scarletfingernail · 11/08/2011 08:28

Morning all

CD25 and 8dpo for me. Nothing to report apart from the fact I'm turning into a loon. I really need some distraction.
Any update dream

Ninja did DH have a night off or were you able to persuade him otherwise?

Fingers crossed for your blood tests little Hopefully they'll all come back fine. My GP sent me for some after my second mc and they took 12 vials! I'd stupidly gone at 8.30 in the morning without breakfast and I did have a bit of a moment afterwards, so my advice is if they're taking a lot make sure you've eaten first. But I'm sure you know that already.

jaggy this might be a Blush question. How do you know if your cervix is lower? And what does it mean if it is? I'm embarrassed to admit that although I've been through pregnancy and childbirth before I've no idea what my cervix feels like or what it should feel like. Are you in the medical profession or is this something that everyone does?

dreamfeeder · 11/08/2011 09:39

scarlett, there is NO WAY i'm feeling my cervix... i wouldn't trust my judgement anyway as i'd be trying to feel for something i'd read about on t'internet, and it bloody hurt being examined by the midwives when in labour so i can't imagine it's a pleasant experience...
Though i am highly impressed by jaggy's knowledge and skills, and think this must push her on for her bfp this month Grin

I am also a raving loon. But all signs seeming to be pointing af-wards for me Sad. no more spotting, so now i am working on convincing myself it wasn't really spotting, but deep down i am not convinced at all...

dreamfeeder · 11/08/2011 10:09

so any recommendation/don't-bother-with's for opk's???

I am spotty and hormonal and bloated, just like before my last period, so am thinking am still in the hugely erratic cycles of just getting af back after bf.... I really, really want to know if i'm ov at all, or whether trying to get upduffed now is just flogging a dead horse.

any news from anyone else? generic? any symptoms to report. scarlett, nothing is better than all your normal af signs Smile. the 2ww makes loons of us all.

i am already tempted to start checking what i should be looking for cervix-wise having been definitly not going to do it 10 min ago- i'm guessing softer, lower, sl open to let the swimmers through as opposed to higher, further back, harder and closed?! Come on jaggy, impart your wisdom Grin

GenericDietCola · 11/08/2011 10:52

Ninja hope you got some last night (although I understand if you wanted to wait given DH's very long day)

Scarlet I am still a loon too (definite sign of pregnancy). I have now totally convinced myself of my pregnancy and now just have the formality of confirming next week.

I am not a cervix-checker Dream but I think you're right about the low when fertile thing. Not sure what it should feel like during preggo - actually, I should just pop off to feel my cervix and then I can tell you. But I won't.

Re the OPKs I sort of used them the last two cycles, but found them frustrating as I never got a strong positive, so I say leave it as they just make you even more obsessive and don't actually help matters. You probably are ov'ing if you are now getting regular AFs again. Oh and another thing, no more spotting means you are still in the game Dream so stay positive chuck.

jenfraggle · 11/08/2011 10:55
dreamfeeder · 11/08/2011 11:01

generic, i haven't had a 'regular' normal-length af cycle yet, thats what i'm a bit paranoid about... and i'm almost positive i'm not upduffed this month. none of the right signs and plenty of the wrong ones!!!
Looking forward to your imminent confirmation very soon!!!

Go jen, Go jen, Go jen!!!!!
