Afternoon ladies!

Well I just wanted to write my symptoms down to see what everyone thinks, I really don't think we will have been successful this month, but my symptoms so far :

Spotting mid cycle - Not sure this could have been implantation or anything as quite early on, would have been around ovulation for 1 of them
Thrush!!! - Awful for about 1 week just about gone now, had this when pg with DS1???
Extreme Tiredness :( - For last week have been absolutely exhausted, have had some late nights but nothing major, were talking 11pm, and DS2 has started to sleep much better so actually probably getting more sleep than for a long time. Monday everyone kept asking if i'd been crying as eyes were soooo tired. Then yesterday and today get to about 3pm and could truly go to bed and not get up until tomorrow :(
Mood swings - have been emotional and also extremely cranky in past couple of weeks, teachers school report made me cry, been screaming at the kids (school holidays lol)

Not sure when due as had really weird cycle last month, was 37 days long, which in my terms could be up to 10 days late!!. So cd 24 today I am not testing early this month and will try and wait until tuesday.

So what do you think:)

Im glad your feeling a lot better and very positive. what were your cycles like before? have they always been a little bit crazy or were they always regular?
It is an emotional rollercoaster having long cycles, people complain about the 2 week wait when i dream of just a 2 week wait :)
Got to make the most of the good days cos there are a lot of down days well for me there are, sometimes im so positive and other times feel so down!!

I said exactly the same to my husband, im never taking the pill again! Although i dont really think it is the pill that has caused this but i think its probably made it worse.
i was on the pill for 2years, then went straight onto the inplant for 2 years and then on the pill for 2years til i came off in march, since then its been 42 days 48 days and then this cycle where i am on day 56 so far.
I thought i ovulated this cycle as had a lot of cramping one side and cm, that started about 17days ago and lasted for about 3 or 4 days on and off so it might just be too early because i might have ov'd maybe the day the pain stopped, hopefully the test tomorrow will be correct.
Hope your cycles go back regularly now :)

Thank you, yea will keep you updated. Usually i would just wait and see but my boobs have gone really strange and i have never seen them like it before and ive spoken to a few different friends that said thats how they knew they were pregnant and theirs were exactly the same as mine are now. wont get my hopes up though!!

LondonLady30 · 01/08/2011 22:17

Hi ladies, ok here goes post number 1 after watching you all like a weird baby-obsessed voyeur for the past month!

I thought I'd join the excitement as after coming off the pill after ten years, I had only had two periods in 2011, but since starting a course of acupuncture a just over a week ago, I ovulated (sorry don't know the text talk yet!) on Monday and got shagtastic every day since then.

I'm now also waiting I guess to see if I come on or not and not sure when to test. But to be honest, I'm just very happy my withered post 30 bod is working. ;)

But good luck to everyone (its lovely to know you're not the pyscho your hubby thinks you are as you are wondering if every gurgle and hiccup might mean your preggers!) I'll be checking in to see how you all get on xx

1sttimetryer · 01/08/2011 22:36

Hi london and welcome!
Men just dont understand! A lot of people say acupuncture works, but the whole idea scares me to death!!
Good luck and hopefully your stay with us wont be long (in the kindest way possible!!) :)

goingmadtrying · 01/08/2011 23:08

Welcome londonlady

Hi going did a teset, got a bfn, so looks like im just going to have to sit back and wait for af to arrive! oh why is my body so complicated Angry lol

goingmadtrying · 02/08/2011 07:03

Oh I'm sorry 1sttime bloody bodies who'd have them!!

I think you should go see your gp, how long were your cycles before?

Still no af for me, got cramp in bed last night another symptom I had when pg last time, cd29 today thats been my average other than the 2 long cycles, which were 32 and 37 days! Confused as I seem to have lots of ewcm, (sorry tmi) but we've dtd a few times over weekend so not sure if it's left overs euugggh!!!

Time will tell:)

any news from anyone else???

OP posts:
1sttimetryer · 02/08/2011 10:44

Shouldnt be long now going and you should know either way. Think i might go back to dr as im in such pain today. Feels like someones jumped up and down on my boobs, spent the morning crying. My periods were irregular before going on the pill, cant remember exactly how long, my last 2 have been 42 and 48days.
Fingers crossed you get a bfp soon. :)

eurochick · 02/08/2011 10:52

London, good luck, but you do know that you should be having swi BEFORE ov, not after, don't you? The is only fertilisable for a short while after ov (maybe 12-24 hours) but sperm can live for several days, so it's best to have swi a lot before ov because a short time after there is nothing you can do but wait to see if it has happened!

LondonLady30 · 02/08/2011 22:25

Hi all, thanks for the welcome :) Very sweet. Feel like part of the club now.

Thanks very much for the advice eurochick - I got a smiley face on the clearblue fertility sticks last Monday then had lots of swi in the days after that. That's right isn't it? So I meant I got my LH surge not that I actually ovulated. How can you tell if you actually ovulate rather than just get a smiley face - or is that near impossible?!

1sttime, my bod is also very complicated - only had three periods this year so we're in the same boat. But I would recommend acupuncture - you don't feel a thing and if nothing else its deeply relaxing. My GP was the one who said it can help regulate my period. And the fact that I got a smiley face so soon is promising - although I'm realistic that it may have been due to other variables.

1sttimetryer · 02/08/2011 22:30

Hi london have seen on here a lot of people say acupuncture is good, you will have to let me know it regulates it or not, a lot of people say you cant ttc while having it though, is that correct? Do you know whether you were ovulating before the acupuncture then?

LondonLady30 · 02/08/2011 22:53

No I don't think I was as I have had so few periods this year, and I had never got a smiley face before despite using those damn sticks since January!

Actually, the Doctor I am seeing for acupuncture tells me its good to continue as I'm trying and when I'm in the early stages of pregnancy as it can help 'create the right conditions' for a pregnancy to continue. But I have to say, I have also read in some places you should stop if/when you become pregnant. So I think my plan is to do this course of 13 sessions over about 2 months and see if it helps regulate me then come off it...

Would you mind filling me in on lingo?! TTC - trying to conceive AF Aunt Flo But what about all the others!? Blush

goingmadtrying · 02/08/2011 23:31

Cd = cycle day
dtd = sex Blush

there's a tab at the top of the page called acronyms which should help
you :)

well my boobs are definately larger and painful at the top, just like when your milk is coming in Hmm I don't want to tempt fate but I feel pregnant although still have achy knees (sign of af for me) I'm not going to test for a few days and will see how things go, now I've said all this I'll probably wake up with my af! Cd30 today longest cycles 32 and 37 days, dh and I just dtd so if af ready that should defo push it along.

Hope to see some good news soon night x

1sttimetryer · 03/08/2011 07:04

Good luck going its looking very hopeful for you, i really hope you do get the bfp.
Well ended up falling asleep on the sofa last night, very unusual for me thats the 2nd time in 4days Hmm and then slept like a baby last night and ended up oversleeping this morning! oops!
Could all just be my hormones messed up as i would assume this could give the same effect as being pregnant. Still no AF yet on cd58 Confused

goingmadtrying · 03/08/2011 07:11

Thanks 1sttime still no af for me cd31 now :)

sorry you didn't get a definate answer from gp I do hope you are pg as it will make all the pain and stress worth it :)

OP posts:
1sttimetryer · 03/08/2011 09:08

Hope your af continues to stay away :)
Yea would definately be worth all the pain if i was but im thinking all of it could be linked to hormone problem :( Time will tell. Hope everyone has a nice day :)

LondonLady30 · 03/08/2011 14:13

Going and 1sttime I'm feeling prematurely excited for you! Sounds very hopeful but will keep fingers crossed (and keep you in my prayers) until you do your tests.

I'm feeling like I'm about to come on even more today - very crampy... If I'm due on, I wish it would just come!!!

Thanks for the acronyms going! Will swat up tonight!x

PlinkertyPlonk · 03/08/2011 18:50

Hello, just checking in to see how everyone is doing. Had a couple of long days at work and the kids are around, so this is the first chance I've had to get to the laptop without a pair of little eyes peering over my shoulder.

Have you tested yet going? It's sounding hopeful. Still keeping everything crossed for you and everyone else on here.

london, thanks for explaining AF! I couldn't for the life of me work out what the acronym was, although I understood what it meant. Blush

Someone mentioned SWI before ovulating - I think this is what may have worked for me, unintentionally. I think by the time you get 2 stripes on your sticks and get a chance to SWI, it's almost too late. But then again, this is the first month I've actually had 2 strong stripes as opposed to 'i think there's a bit of colour there if I squint hard' (my cycles are always irregular, between 23 and 35 days). I was recording temperatures too and looking back, that seemed to indicate we had to SWI before the stripes.

Will be offline now for a while, but good luck!
