Let's make some May babies

The end of July is drawing near; SWI with DP hasn't been as frequent as hoped; and I've decided to err on the side of caution.

So. Here's a thread for anyone else hoping to make a beautiful May 2012 baby.

I am 27 and TTC #1. Been on pill for an age so unsure of cycles. Only been trying for a couple of weeks - the more I type the more I note my wild optimism!!

Anyone else who knows more about this business than I do? Please come and give me some hope that a May baby might be at all possible :)

Hi all! Im back Bug has now safely gone and SWLOI will start from 10.20pm (20 mins after i get in from work haha)

Question is - AF due 22nd August but already feeling a tad tetchy so may be early Am I too late for this month or do I still have time?

Hi everyone, dh and I have decided we are ready to ttc#1

Stopped taking microgynon last Tuesday, after 10 years, withdrawal bleed gone today. So as of tomorrow we will be SWI

No idea when af is due, but prepeared to get stuck in with ttc.

Signet I think you may be in time for this month, depending on length of your cycle. Worth a shot anyway as it's so fun :o

Tibbycat - i have never noticed ov-ing pains before so quite surprised that its so strong!!!!!! agree with pains on 1 side i guest egg came from that side left side for me!!!!!
CC - very refreshing maybe i should leave it till after the move then cant cope with too much stress right now but totally enjoying the trying LOL xx

Signet2012- your due before me and my window is now i believe so do your calculations it should be 14/15 days before AF is due( someone correct me if wrong) try using an ov calculator!( to lazy to write ovulation)

Am now firmly in the 2ww. Boooo to waiting is all I can say.

Anyone else suddenly have a wobble and think they might of missed ov? I'm not temping (although I will next month if necessary) but am OPKing and CM-checking. All signs pointed to OV on 16/17th, but because my line on the OPK wasn't all darker than the test line, I'm worried that I've misread it

But - my line got progressively darker over the course of 5 days, culminating in this sort-of-postive-I-think line, and then got lighter again and disappeared. I had lots of watery CM (I very rarely get EWCM, just watery). I was horny. I then had lower back ache and bloating. CM is now much less.

All sounds good?

Then why am I contemplating doing another OPK today just to be sure?!!

Sounds good to me cosmic! I've never had very helpful readings from OPKs, though I know others get good readings...

Why have I done a pg test even though I know I can't be pg this month ??? I think we all secretly love POAS (whatever the stick is for!).

I also have noticed an increase in my libido since coming off pill after long time. Did not know what I was missing at the time! This makes it frustrating though as I have been advised to wait for 1AF before SWI! Hopefully just 2days until it starts. This has been the longest month in history. DH commented the other day that I looked like a lady in limbo!:)

I cracked and PO Another S this morning, even though I said I wouldn't.

And after I had an argument with DH this morning and ate a brownie to spite him I got lovely cramps. (Either a warning shot across the bow or someone saying STOP FEEDING ME THIS CRAP I WANT A BANANA!)

Still no AF. It's looking good, but I'm definitely waiting for Saturday to POABOS (pee on a battery operated stick!)

I really want to do it now so I can read the conception indicator- if I leave it til then, I think it'll be over 3 weeks since C, and it won't give me any clue as to when- I've narrowed it down to a window of 4 days, but I guess maybe the stick won't do any better than that.

If this has worked, and I get my BFP on Saturday, that will give me a due date of 18/04/12, so you may have to kick me off the yacht. :( How about if I keep my legs crossed though? 2 weeks later and it would be just into May. :)

Still sounding good Rusulka. I had those cramps around when my AF should have been last time I was pg.

Continued with Operation KUMQUAT last night, should have been the night before but DH and I had an argument. We made up before bed but I just wasn't in the mood. I'm only on CD11 though so we're still just stocking up on the jolly old jizz ready for the big O around CD14.

DH is so funny though, I said I was feeling sick this morning which immediately started him off doing this sort of hip-thrusting thing, waving his hands around like pistols. He is so proud of his potency, if when I get updiffed he's going to take all the flipping credit, like we didn't even need one of my eggs as well

I will take the advise given will start the count from last AF on Saturday. Not holding out much hope but I guess you never know.

On a slightly more random note after reading previous posts yesterday about those taking Pregnacare (which I started on Monday) I was disappointed that I wasn't getting with brightly wee side effect :( but I am please to say I do today which I know is a sad thing to be pleased about but glad that my body its getting on board with TCC :)

ARGH.

I am crampy, dizzy, nauseous, tired (which probably has more to do with accosting Mr Duck for SWI last night) and still I have had no Aunty Flo nor any sign that I have ovulated. Saying that, I chug antihistamines like sweets for my hayfever so maybe I've unwittingly dried everything up...? And (excuse the TMI) every time I check my cervix it's in a different place. I swear it's bouncing about on purpose. Conclusion: MY BODY IS TAKING THE PISS OUT OF ME.

The urge to nip out to the chemist and get a test is very strong in this one. Very strong. But not quite as strong as the urge not to spend shitloads on tests.

7 days late now. BFN after 3 days late :( So yesterday i ordered 25 internet cheapie tests and will be peeing on millions of sticks this weekend!

Just don't know what else to do really!

Mamma I have been scouring the internet for info to stop me peeing on the remainder of my 25, and there is a theory that some women don't get hCG wee. I think in that case no amount of sticks in the world will help- see your doctor for a blood test.

Also, after avoiding parmesan on my carbonara the other night just in case, I just found out that both that and mozzarella are fine. Grr!

Resolve to wait until Saturday to POABOS is crumbling as DH texted from work to request it tomorrow am.

Hi me and my Dh have been TTC for a while now i came off the pill about 18 months ago but we've not been lucky straight away. we've done the 'lets see what happens' bit and are now working out our dates and stuff. i'm not regular at all, that was main reason i was on pill in first place and was on it for an age too. had some time off with stress n panic attacks so dont want to start worrying too much about dates, temperatures and tests coz i know that wont help. gonna make the step to speak to the docs next week. bit worried now but i know they'll tell me not to be yet. its hard trying to explain to my DH about my irregular periods and not truly knowing the length of my cycle

Hi all, I got the first signs of a line on a cheapy ovulation predictor stick this afternoon, yay! So I'm presuming it should get stronger over the next few days and then ovulation should take place soon after getting a line as strong as the test line. Veteran testers, is this right??

A bit gutted today as the festival we were going to this weekend has been cancelled due to flooding :( and the only positive thing about this is that we'll be able to get on with baby-making without being confined to a tent shared with small children, so it had better work!!!

Cosmicmouse -our AF dates are quite close, and i have had very strong tell tell signs that im Ov-ing right now( Pain on 1 side and cramping) these have lasted 2 days so far!!!!!! today was much worse!!!!!
CatsyCat - i gave DH a nite off because he had to get up very early and he came to bed very late!!!!!!!!!!!!! will use my seductive moves tonite!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I dont want TTC to consume me but its hard not too move with the waves when getting pregnant in the past seem to just " happen"
ahhhhh boy after all this " baby making" im going to need a hol!!!!!

So much excitement going on on this thread. Lots of people peeing on sticks.. OPK or Pregnancy ones.. i'm on CD3 now.. is it going backward?
