The end of July is drawing near; SWI with DP hasn't been as frequent as hoped; and I've decided to err on the side of caution.

So. Here's a thread for anyone else hoping to make a beautiful May 2012 baby.

I am 27 and TTC #1. Been on pill for an age so unsure of cycles. Only been trying for a couple of weeks - the more I type the more I note my wild optimism!!

Anyone else who knows more about this business than I do? Please come and give me some hope that a May baby might be at all possible :)

Mine's due on 22nd, would probably be terrible timing if it didn't come and I was up the duff, but I can't lie, I'd be delighted and scared all at the same time :)

Quenelle · 05/08/2011 13:25

Ok. What about one of those supertankers that takes two days to stop?

Or the coach from Speed!

Clandy · 05/08/2011 13:26

Oooh was very exciting to see my name in the stats so big thank you for adding me. Can't shine much light on the af due as I only stopped taking the pill this week, hoping it should be around 24 th but I know things can take a while to settle! However I took a very nice trip to expensive undies shop to crack on with the siw Grin

Fingers crossed for you mamma!

I also like the idea of a yacht and will claim a warm sunny spot on the deck please... With absolutely no crusty baby dust!!! Xx

desperateoldie67 · 05/08/2011 13:27

If we're having the coach from Speed, then we have to have pretty Keanu too - it's the rules!

Oh, you never explained about the grapefruit Quenelle, or is it that you just like it? Wink :)

Quenelle · 05/08/2011 13:42

Oh yes, sorry desperate. It might help to thin out CM apparently. I can't say if it helped last time because I was using preseed but I'm just doing the same things as before. I drank it until I ovulated, but not after, can't remember if that was for a particular reason though.

Sorry, not very helpful I know.

desperateoldie67 · 05/08/2011 13:44

Oh thanks Quenelle. That's interesting. And I like grapefruit juice too :)

MammaInTheMaking · 05/08/2011 13:48

kveta I'm literally stiffling giggles at my desk at work! you had a dream you were a woodpecker!! OMG that's hillarious! Were you like the actual bird in your dream or yourself pretending to be a bird!

I once "woke" up telling DP there was someone in the room. I was hiding under the duvet so they didn't see me. DP got so freaked out he came and hid under the duvet with me!!!

Still no AF

The coach from Speed would be good though less comfy than some swanky yacht. Maybe we could have a pirate ship with the delicious Johnny Depp
;)

desperateoldie67 · 05/08/2011 13:50

Because I'm a complete tart and easily swayed - Johnny Depp it is!!! Though even if he stood in front of me stark naked and said "I'm all yours", I'd happily pass him over for my DP without a backward glance. Remind me NEVER to tell DP that, no matter how drunk I get. That's more of an ego boost than he needs to be honest! :o

pillowupmyjumper · 05/08/2011 15:55

i'd go with a yacht ... with Johnny at the helm and Keanu handing out cocktails ... i would also throw in jake gyllenhaal in to the mix... prehaps looking after the sun tan lotion?

MammaInTheMaking · 05/08/2011 15:59

Get Wentwoth Miller doing some massages and we're all good to go!

Harryan · 05/08/2011 16:43

Ooooh this is all so exciting :) Never actually Planned before....It always kinda just happened haha. Blush

Buggerlugs Thats Fab :) We should have a joint "peeing on stick" day lol

Fingers crossed and legs open to everyone :)

tipp2chicago · 05/08/2011 17:44

Hi everyone, I've fallen off the April bus so here goes for May.

tipp2chicago 32 TTC#1 AF due Sept 5-ish. (3rd cycle of Clomid 50mg)

HeidiHole · 05/08/2011 17:55

So fed up waiting for AF... it's been over 4 weeks since implant was removed and not a drop! this is the only time i'm desperate to see her so I can get on with this, having been waiting for DH to give the OK to start SWI for what feels likes aaaaages! most websites say after the implant coming out everything should spring back to normal within seconds days...!

threecurrantbuns · 05/08/2011 18:18

Hi all add welcome to the newbIes. I so get what someone said about it seeming ages until test day. In the meantime I'm convincing myself this month isn't the month as been having abdominal cramps for a few days now. It's so true then you want to conceive is seems so hard. When your not planning to like with our gorgeous dc three (was conceived after doing the deed once the day af stopped) it happens. Dh couldn't even remember dtd lol

Catsycat · 05/08/2011 19:26

Been out all day with the DDs, but just to add I have a BMI around 37. Thinking of starting a diet on Monday...

I was thinking camper van as mode of transport, as I'd have somewhere to sit in the shade and read, and could make a cup of tea (as I expect to be here a while!). If we are going with the yacht idea, could Richard Armitage be on board too, or Aidan Turner?

threecurrantbuns · 05/08/2011 20:01

heidihole any chance you could be pregnant already?? Smile

Tibbycat · 05/08/2011 21:06

Thank you all of you who shared your overweight ttc messages. It's the weirdest feeling on the world thinking about ttc. I've spent years (aged 30 now) trying to avoid pregnancy and now it's all I can think about!

Has the copper coil out Thurs which was the first day of my period (well should have been, it put it back a day strangely)! So my verily period is coming up next week. I'm lucky my cycle is short at 21 days but even that is going to drag on to come round, I can tell!! next period due 31 Aug which I'm guessing will be testing day! A hood friend recommended me to ( no laughing) the 99p shop for pregnancy tests. They are (guess price lol) 99p for 3! I will let you know if they are any good. Went to buy digital ones in Boots today and there was only a box of 20 left...£39!!!! Passed that! Let's see what Happens on the 31st! Wink

Catsycat · 05/08/2011 21:56

Yup, I bought a load of preg tests from Home Bargains for 99p for 3! They seem OK (well, tested negative when I wasn't pg!!). Good luck Tibbycat!

Minshu · 05/08/2011 22:07

I have tumbled off the April bus. Been feeling a bit down in the dumps, but it took a while to get DD, so I will persevere.

Like Kveta I'm TTC DC#2 (You were on the sep '09 thread, weren't you :) But managed to get a September baby? My DD didn't turn up until October)

Quenelle - I'd completely forgotten about the grapefruit juice this time - no wonder the April bus went off without me...

HeidiHole · 05/08/2011 22:43

threecurrantbuns oh trust me i've already obsessed thought of that! :) Had bad cramping for a few days and even nausea and was a bit sick one day. However the pregnancy tests are coming back BFN and i've been analysing my calander as we didn't have sex for a while as DH wasn't well so I reckon that i'm at least 15-16 days after last SWI which means if I was pregnant it would have shown by now! He is all better now so can get started again but no ovulation takes some of the fun out of it! (not all of it!)

So now i've got over that hope i'm waiting for AF. Grumpily and Impatiently. Starting to think I may as well go back to the side of the road and wait for the June bus!

HeidiHole · 05/08/2011 22:44

should add i'm also porky (Actually obese even though i don't feel obese cos that is a harsh word i just feel tubby!) size 16 5'9 but the BMI doesn't lie so can I join the Lardy Bottom Club?

mskatemc · 06/08/2011 00:22

I know where you're all coming from, I am quite fat atm despite losing loads of weight a couple of years ago in order to have a healthy body to conceive...

Oh and I also woke dh up one night by violent hobby-horse action (that is not a euphemism) in my sleep: lying on my back with my legs kicking and hands doggy-paddling in front of me and when he asked what I was doing I said, "riding a horse". We still sometimes cry with laughter about it.

missuswife · 06/08/2011 00:31

HeidiHole, you are not a Lardy Bottom! I'm a size 16 and only 5'7"! I just checked and I have a BMI of 28.3, which I'm sure would be much lower if it weren't for my boobs. We're healthy women and apparently we're all total foxes or else we'd have no one to TTC with!

Piglet28 · 06/08/2011 09:42

Hi, Can I join in too?!

AF just got me this morning Angry

Now hoping for a May baby!

Good luck!
