Well I fell off another bus and rather than wait around for the next one I thought I would get another going myself. So have stocked it up with cake, - for the first 2 weeks and - for the 2ww'ers :)

Hoping it will be a lucky bus for lots of us - and I might have a birthday baby :)

I'm 15 months since coming off the pill Doc won't even see me until 18 months to 2 years of ttc and no luck, so not saying don't go, just don't get your hopes up. They recon it takes 6 months to a year for most people. (I'm obviously not most people!)

I'll be testing tomorrow, so just got today to get through without AF...

GP was quite good when I mentioned we were thinking of ttc a while ago Liliana, & said to come back after 6 months so fingers crossed.

I see your not far from me Liliana, yea definately used to a windy one, usually wet aswell! Could you perhaps see a different doctor? seems like such a long time to wait, i understood that after a year of ttc if you havent been successful they start the ball rolling with tests, anyway, your getting pregnant in 2012 so you dont need to see them

Temp drop this morning so reckon AF will make appearance today. :( On to 5th cycle now! Good luck to everyone else on their 2ww & still to test.

Sorry to hear about your rough week MrsCog. I was completely stressed with my job last year (teacher) so now do temp contracts and supply (get the nice parts of the job without all the additional stress!) Hope you manage to find a balance so you're not so stressed.
Hey Liliana I agree with 1sttimetryer, you should try a second opinion as it seems to depend on the doctor and sometimes the area where you live. We have been trying for 6 months, after second chemical pregnancy the doc at the hospital offered me the opportunity to go back for a chat and tests on me and DH. I declined this time as he wasn't worried and I feel we haven't been trying long enough to go through tests.
I'm just trying to find distractions to get me through to 7th July!! x

mrscog Do feel for what you are going through. Like others have said, maybe this will help you see the wood for the trees and make changes to your workload.

liliana How confusing. Is difficult to celebrate when births coincide with tragedies. My sis had her baby hours after her DH aunt died - who was basically second mother to him.

Is worse when you lose someone who hasn't tied up all the strings of their affairs. :(

Byrnsie30, just a quick question about chemical pregnancy if you don't mind me asking? How do you know if you have had a chemical pregnancy? Is the bleeding different to usual AF, heavier etc...? Or would you beable to tell because your AF arrives later than expected?

Bfn on first response at 8dpo. Why do I do it myself with the early tests?! Silly because you don't totally believe the answer anyway.
First response are buy one get one free at boots currently though - got 4 for £11 this am!!

pomme but you know you can't believe it at 8dpo! step away from the tests... Thanks for the tip though, might get myself down to boots, last time they did the offer they sold out sooo quickly!

hello to Sukie, hope you get a great birthday present! how old is your DC1?

Ready I think that you know you've had a chemical pg when you've had a BFP but then have a (somewhat delayed) AF anyway. False BFPs are very rare so if you had a BFP then an AF it's more likely to have been a chemical pg. I think it's due to a fertilised egg that doesn't implant?

lilliana 18 months to 2 years soungs ages! I think my doc says 6 months if you're over 35 or 1 yr if you're under. But never heard 18 months to 2 years. I would definitely try getting a different doctor if you can...

A quick question about OPKs: can they be affected by alcohol? I got my first ever positive result (dark line) with a cheapy OPK test last night, then another this morning, but I realise that both times I'm likely to have had quite alcoholic pee due to going out with some friends! Instructions say nothing about the effect of alcohol. Any knowledge very welcome!

Sorry to hear you've had such a crappie week MrsCog stress is an awful thing to deal with so make sure you get some rest and try to 'switch off'

Just a quick note to minipie and readynow.

minipie just read the instructions that came with my cheapie OV tests. It says: Alcohol and common medications shouldn't affect the test, but you should consult your doctor if you're taking hormonal medication. Plus oral contraceptive use, pregnancy and breastfeeding can affect the results.

readynow I don't mind you asking at all, and as far as I know minipie is correct. I had positive PG tests at 5-6 weeks and 3-4 weeks and then got normal AF a few days after positive tests. Not sure if there are other signs. Although I know someone who had cramping and I know people can have MC without bleeding then have to have D&C.

I didn't realise a chem pg could last up to 5-6weeks sorry to hear about your losses.

I have read the first repsonse 6 day leaflet for the first time now. It's not 6 days! It's five! They use 'days' not 24 hour periods so really they're cheating a bit imho.
If I am not pregnant then it is unfair to have sore boobs and cramps from 3dpo! That's half my life spent not being able to jog!

And ff is not sure whether I ov'd on the 13th or 15th so I amy also only be 6dpo.
The 2ww drives me insane. As you can see.

Thanks Byrnsie & minipie. I am now anxious for AF to show up as my temp has dropped & I know its imminent. Then I can go on to the next cycle & get some SWI action BEFORE my DH & I go on holiday with my parents! Not sure having my parents in the room next to us will get us in the mood!! :o

i'm at 10 dpo, also going insane. I really am going to resist testing, i've been temping all this month so I can watch for the temp drop instead (oh joy) which tells me AF will be here soon.

Haha ready now - I think that next month egg laying time will be when we are staying at dh's parents in a bedroom next to theirs. Very quiet sexing required.

Hmmmm, 7dpo and getting a fair bit of cramping and feeling sick. I am half expecting AF but she is NEVER this early, this is 10 das too early at her very earliest, I have been regular as clockwork since september. Could it be good news?
