Well I fell off another bus and rather than wait around for the next one I thought I would get another going myself. So have stocked it up with cake, Wine - for the first 2 weeks and Brew - for the 2ww'ers :)

Hoping it will be a lucky bus for lots of us - and I might have a birthday baby :)

Liliana (31) ttc#1 ucl 28 af due 26th March

(I have left out the CD as it is never up to date and all we really want to know is when are people testing!)

Thanks, didn't know I could change my chart, off to have a play with it! Thanks for the feedback

Liliana1 · 14/06/2011 20:39

Damn, only available for vip members and I'm too cheap for that!! Oh well will stick it out with my fingers crossed, nothing I can do about it now. Resorting back to POAS every day with okp's next month.

OP posts:
pommedechocolat · 15/06/2011 09:13

I do the counting to ten! Or I run out the back of the garage and do a big scream!
Never mind she'll eat one day right?!
Sooo two OPK questions! Got an opk + this am (cd12) last - was yest pm. However both + OKPs (this month and last) have been am but not FMU. Weird that both + would be the same time and situation (rushing out to nursery and work) or am I being paranoid? Can I believe it do you reckon?
Then if it is true as we dtd last night and will never get dh to do it three days in a row should I jump him tonight or tomorrow night? Tomorrow would have the advantage of being every other day so don't need to tell him about POAS...

ShaggingWithIntent · 15/06/2011 09:31

I resisted paying for FF but it lasted all of 8 days and then I was geting irritated by not being able to fiddle with my charts and so bought the VIP membership. I was being optimistic and only paid for the 3 months membership.......

My chart looks a bit odd but it seems to be pretty much identical to last months so I guess that it's just normal for me!

CD 11 today and expecting OV on CD16 so DH had better get ready for a weekend of shagging! No Pressure!!!!

AmandaCooper · 15/06/2011 10:01

CD5 here so still very early days. Got Friday off work to head down to Brighton for my cousin's hen do which should take my mind off the waiting and the constant will he won't he anxiety with regard to DH. I am wondering how I will get my daily glass of grapefruit juice without arousing suspicion though!

Am with you on the FF upgrade. Haven't done it yet but have just been paid and am eyeing up every single conception aid there is!

Readynow · 15/06/2011 10:20

Pomme this month & last month I got my + OPK about the same time in the morning (betweeen 7.30 & 8.30) although not with FMU. The CB Digital OPK instructions say as long as you have SWI within the next 48 hours you should be covered but I have also read that you sould have SWI the day of the + OPK, the next day & the day after to have the best chance of conceiving. I guess though if you are temping & doing OPK's & you see your thermal shift indicating you have ovulated then it is no point having SWI after you ovulated. For the last 2 months I ovulated on the day I got my + OPK.

pommedechocolat · 15/06/2011 10:31

Thanks Readynow! As we did it last night will not be able to ersuade dh for both tonight and tomorrow not sure which would be best - I'd guess maybe tomorrow?! Ack.
I did hear that the day before OPK was a great time so fingers crossed job is already done.
No temping so can't confirm but will POAS tonight and tomorrow am to figure out which bit of the surge I caught!

Readynow · 15/06/2011 10:39

Pomme tomorrow night would fit in with the 'every other day' advice! If the + OPK shows you will ovulate at some point in the next 48 hours you should have covered all basis anyway, ie if you O today then SWI yesterday would have been well timed & if you O tomorrow then you have tomorrow night covered as well!! FX for you.

Flippingebay · 15/06/2011 11:09

Can I join please :)

trying for about 3 months now but this month trying in earnest :) no, he's not my partner :o last AF was 27th of May so if all is well I might be well on my way.. Dont' feel any different, but I didn't with DC #1

Not sure what facts or figures I need to be putting on here, but fingers crossed for everyone!!!

minipie · 15/06/2011 11:17

Morning ladies

Well last night I discovered yet another friend is pg Envy

I now have 3 friends all due around the same time (and so will all be on ML together without me Sad) - that's in addition to the two who've just given birth and the two due in Aug/Sep! Oh and of course anyone else who is pg but not announced yet.

Sorry for the whinge, I am just so impatient!

CD10 here, OV sticks still saying No. Have a feeling I'm in for a long wait as my last cycle was 40 days. But might try some "practice" SWI anyway Grin

Does anyone know anything which helps your cycles return to normal after coming off the Pill?

pommedechocolat · 15/06/2011 11:18

I think you're right Readynow. Feels like I kep hitting good days though and no updiffing yet. FX for this month for us all once again!
Welcome Flippingebay - on the list we put age, which no child you are ttc, usual cycle length and when your next AF is due :)

Flippingebay · 15/06/2011 11:25

Here we go then :)

Age 38
TTC #2
28 days
AF due 28th of June

Looking at the calculator I might have missed timed this month Hmm bloody typical

bridgieboo · 15/06/2011 11:54

Congrats to Melliebobs Smile
Think I am going to fall off this bus as DH has had "man flu" so has been oh so tired...but I live in hope as technically it only takes one time Grin
Looking at the stats there are a few AF's due in the next few days,so holding thumbs for BFP's for everyone!

Jebel · 15/06/2011 12:48

pomme my fertility doc says on day of OPK (for me she has said last 2 months that she is confident I ov the same evening as OPK is positive), the next day and the next day (the last one she says is just in case). I can't get DH to do all three so I do the first two. Doc says unless there is problem with sperm count consecutive days are good around ov. When I asked if I should do it befor'e I ov'd, she said 'if you want to but not necessary'.

Jebel · 15/06/2011 12:49

ps obviously I have yet to conceive but she has many fans amongst my mummy friends

shelbelle100 · 15/06/2011 13:07

Hi I haven't been around for a while. Just been catching up on everyone's news - two BFPs already!!! That is great news.

Well I have been using the CBFM for the first time this month and turns out I am ovulating much later than I was thinking. I have just had my first peak today which is CD17. So I think I definitely missed the best time to try last month. Unfortunately I think that that means I have a very short luteal phase....

Good luck to everyone - fingers crossed for loads more BFPs

pommedechocolat · 15/06/2011 13:16

No idea where I read that best day is before the positive OPK then! Maybe on the clearblue leaflet thing?
FF likes O-2 (ie day before positive OPK) as well. Think I'm going to stick to the every other day plan and hope!

pommedechocolat · 15/06/2011 13:38

So the last post of my obsessing here. Yest at 5pm neg OPK so even if LH started soon after this am at 8am with my positive was only 12 hours in and average is apparently 36 hours of LH surge before egg goes pop so early am tomorrow sometime will ovulate. Egg then lives for 12-24 hours... Reckon tomorrow should be okay...
Jesus this is way too much - I need a hobby!!

ThisCharmingMum · 15/06/2011 13:39

My thoughts go out to you ladies who want to get away from nasty jobs/bosses. Been there, bought the T-shirt. I took voluntary redundancy from professional career while on mat leave with DS and never looked back.

Now work pt in well known department store - not saying which one but if I told you the logo is black on yellow background, you could hazard a guess.

All I do is turn up and smile sweetly at customers and I don't have to use my brain very much at all. Is just perfect. Will dust professional brain off in a few years and see if it still works but until then am quite happy not doing much thinking at all.

Can I just ask - is everyone genuinely loving all the SWI? I don't want to sound like a fuddy duddy, but I find it a bit of a bind having to do it on schedule. Also, because trying for DC3 is very much my project - DH is only doing it because I have begged him for 2 years - it is up to me to seduce him. Because he has something I want!

Don't get me wrong - I enjoy it, but do sometimes fall into the trap of thinking of mental to-do list (bath kids, put them to bed, do dishes, watch the apprentice, SWI...)

HorseyGirl1 · 15/06/2011 13:47

Oh well, AF has found me after all. Bit early for some reason, best known for to herself. Maybe next month. See you on the next bus (but hopefully not too many for the right reasons!) xx

minipie · 15/06/2011 14:12

Charming I hear you. I think I actually enjoy it more on the days I know there is no chance of getting pg - because then it's for its own sake and because we feel like it, rather than SWI.

I'm also relieved to hear that some other people find it hard to persuade their DHs to DTD! Some posts (not on this thread) suggest that all men are up for it at all times and will be only too happy to SWI as much as possible - not the case for my DH after a 14 hour day at work!

Acceber · 15/06/2011 14:19

horseygirl1 - I'm with you - my AF has arrived two days early. Will join on the next bus, but given the dates, maybe we could stay at the back of the bus for an end of March target!

Readynow · 15/06/2011 14:48

minipie I'm the same. My DH works early shifts & so is usually knackered by the time I am home from work in the evening. Much pursuading is needed for him to do more than 2 days in a row!! From reading anything about blokes you'd have thought they were up for DTD all day every day!!! Grin

stuffthenonsense · 15/06/2011 14:59

afternoon all, just got TOTALLY confused reading posts since yesterday. what is FF???
have i read correctly that SWI is most effective
day before ov
day of ov
then next two days?

so far i was just planning on covering as many days throughout the cycle as physically possible.....is this overkill?

and look!!!!!! copy and paste Grin

Hello everybody. Been a while since I have been on Mumsnet. I have two children, both boys, one aged 7 1/2 years and the other 8 months. I am wanting to try for DC3 and am waiting for an appointment to have my contraceptive implant removed. I understand this is the March thread and I doubt I will conceive that quickly but I just wanted to say, "HI!".

Becky (24) ttc#3 - waiting for contraceptive implant to be removed
