Aaaarghhh Arabica - how are you feeling?

Fingers crossed!

Arabica · 21/11/2005 10:06

Woops, got calculations wrong. Period is due today not yesterday. Am convinced am not pregnant but would be a wonderful surprise if the period didn't come!

Dodsey · 21/11/2005 22:06

Holding my breath Arabica & keeping everything crossed for you.

You dread going to the loo at this time don't you.

OP posts:
Arabica · 22/11/2005 12:18

Absolutely! I keep getting what am sure are period pains, but then there's nothing. I am sure period will start at any moment but if nothing happens, then am going to test at the weekend. Thanks for your support.

littlemisspiggy · 22/11/2005 16:00

Dodsey don't give up.
I conceived ds at 37 (1st attempt) and am now 41 and 14 weeks pg with #2. It took us 3 months to conceive this time and I thought things might be more difficult as previously v.regular cycles shortened to 24,25,26 days. Also we decided to be 'systematic' in our ttc method ie BD every day from day 10 to about day 20 to make sure we didn't miss ovulation day

Dodsey · 22/11/2005 17:36

Bloody hell littlemisspiggy you'll be enjoying the rest now!

OP posts:
Arabica · 22/11/2005 18:39

Crikey we only did it twice!

LadySherlockofLGJ · 22/11/2005 18:48

Are you ??

jane313 · 22/11/2005 20:18

dodsey, try doing that amount of bd-ing for 6 months. bloody exhausting! and nowt to show for it.

Arabica have you tested?

Arabica · 22/11/2005 21:31

Not tested yet as am only one day late. Will wait until the weekend.

Arabica · 22/11/2005 21:33

Just noticed madness said her period was 2 days late a while ago...?

Dodsey · 22/11/2005 22:47

Madness where are you?

OP posts:
littlemisspiggy · 23/11/2005 09:18

LOL! Yeah I'm much less conscientious(sp?) now! Too tired too sick. Poor DH.

madness · 23/11/2005 14:14

now, will you believe it, before I used to test even before my due date but now I still haven't although uh, 10 days late. I'm sure it would be pos but wouldn't trust it as I don't feel pregnant as with dd. I feel much more like last time when I miscarried at 11 weeks....(always been the eternal pessimist...).
Actually did go into a chemist but as they didn't have a test on display I chickened out and left the shop without buying it .
Anyeay, will be going to Tesco tomorrow and if I don't see anyone from work ((as I usulally do) I will buy a kit and test. You lot will be the first to know

Arabica · 23/11/2005 17:49

Ooh, Madness, sounds promising, but scary too...I don't know if I will be able to wait as long as you but I'm going to try and hold out until at least the weekend. After having had a miscarriage, I'm scared to invest any emotion in another pregnancy in case it doesn't work out either. So the longer I can put off knowing for sure that this is a pregnancy and not some kind of unheard of (for me) late period, the better.

Dodsey · 23/11/2005 23:28

You could be our first successes!!

Keep cool until you've done your tests. You're right Aribica, it's an emotional rollercoaster each month waiting to see what happens.

I've always wanted to be one of these people that discover they're pregnant at 30 weeks, it would take alot of the worry out of the equation.

madness · 24/11/2005 19:40

bpf...scared more than happy I think...
need to take dd to bed now

jane313 · 24/11/2005 19:42

brilliant news madness.

Dodsey · 24/11/2005 21:07

well done - well done - well done!

We're all with you.

OP posts:
Arabica · 24/11/2005 23:04

Congratulations madness! You'll be due at the end of July? Not that I have checked that kind of thing, of course...because I'm not testing until the weekend...

jane313 · 25/11/2005 14:07

yes I have been torturing myself with due date possibilities too. God why?

Good luck to eveyone here and hope there are lots of success stories. Am going to give mumsnet a miss for a while as found out today from second lot of blood tests that I am definitely not ovulating so nothing will happen to me until I see a consultant. And that won't happen for many months as I can't afford to go private. Still then I will be 40 and will be officially on this thread.

Dodsey · 25/11/2005 22:31

Good luck jane313 we'll be here to welcome you back when you reach the dizzy heights of 40!!

We're going away for the weekend to a lovely posh hotel, paid for by DH's company. It's their Xmas sweetener. I'm really looking forward to relaxing & sleeping in - my Mum is having the boys.

Now if only this had timed in with my cycle & we could have been BD'ng at every opportunity!

Dodsey · 25/11/2005 22:33
