Hola! Welcome to our new home...

OP posts:

Hi Tanif! I've got some evening primrose oil capsules in our bathroom cabinet, but mine (from Holland and Barrett) say they have 375% of the recommended daily dose of vitamin E. Am I right in thinking TTC-ers are advised to steer clear of vitamin E? Do yours have vitamin E in too? I wonder if it's just Holland & Barrett's stuff that includes such a high amount...

Tanif · 21/04/2011 17:13

Molly vitamin E is fine, it's Vitamin A that should be avoided :)

MollyDefoe · 21/04/2011 18:15

Ahhhh. Je suis un idiot. Thanks Tanif!

LivinInTheMoment · 21/04/2011 18:28

Cheers Bluecrane I have not succumb to temptation yet. Mostly cos I've been working flat out. Today the cramps have started and I'm due af today/tommorrow so I am guessing I'll be thrown off this bus before long. sigh.

Hope everyone is getting to enjoy some of this gorgeous sunshine we're having lately?! Its supposed to stay good for the weekend too Smile

LivinInTheMoment · 21/04/2011 18:32

Tanif thats interesting about the evening primrose oil, might pick up a bottle of that this wknd.

If it helps the spermies get where they need to go I'm down for that! [busmile]

Morning everyone.

Well today is due day for me. Just to remain completely upbeat if AF shows, here are pros to AF coming:

  • I can have boozey nights out catching up with friends in the UK
  • I don't have to worry about buying maternity clothes as part of my summer wardrobe
-I can purchase a BBT and track with Fertility friend for next cycle -I know about oil of evening primrose now Grin

Ooo.. can you get another test vegas?

I have never used a digi-test to know anything about them.

goingmadtrying · 22/04/2011 09:21

no never heard of those tests, I would either wait a couple of days and get another test, although have read on here digi tests not as sensitive as strip ones, hope you get a bfp soon :)

:( vegas but no AF yet!

LivinInTheMoment · 22/04/2011 10:41

Lol Micky I like your thinking.

Aw Vegas

AF due today, if she shows up, BIG glass of vino for me tonight. Hmmph!

peapop · 22/04/2011 11:37

Hi all, cd32 here and still no af. Pretty convinced it's still on it's way so haven't poas yet but think I will tomorrow if nothing happens today.

Sorry vegas but fx it's not over yet!

BlueCrane · 22/04/2011 12:32

vegas I'm here!! I think it says on the box not to take any notice of the lines when you eject...not sure what they show/don't show...sorry! Hope you get some news soon! It was a week after AF due before I got 'pregnant' on the digi as I don't think they're as sensitive...but much more satisfying seeing a word than peering at lines!!

micky are you travelling today or is it tomorrow? Hope you have a good journey and get answers soon too!!

livin hope you're not able to have that wine tonight!

peapop well done for holding out! How long is your cycle usually?

MickyLee · 22/04/2011 13:53

Hi blue I travel tomorrow evening. Will be checking in from my mothers laptop though.

No signs of AF yet.. haven't got any tests in either. DH won't bring one on his way home as he thinks it is far to embarrassing, so have to wait for tomorrow morning to POAS if still no sign.

Eee.. this day is dragging! no sign at all of AF, if it is going to come, please come visit now and put me out of my misery

peapop · 22/04/2011 18:40

micky that's exactly how I feel too. The waiting/not knowing is just awful isn't it!

blue my cycle used to be 28 days but then last month it was 31, now I'm on cd32 Hmm

I had more spotting today but (TMI) only when I wiped then nothing at all since then. Had spotting last cycle but was more frequent and heavier than this and happened earlier as far as I remember.

BlueCrane · 22/04/2011 19:28

Really hope you all get answers soon...the waiting is hideous!! Though I must say that once you've got your bfp there's plenty more waiting to come as some of you will know from experience!! In a strange sense finding out a bit later does help reduce the next wait IYSWIM not that it makes the initial waiting any easier!!

micky you might need to go shopping for your summer clothes as soon as you arrive if our heat wave continues...it was 27 degrees earlier...April!?!? Bet this will be all the 'summer' we get!!

peapop unfortunately my cycles off the pill got steadily longer with each month...30 days...35 days and then 37 days! Not sure how long the last one would've been and whether they were settling into any pattern as that's when I got lucky!

vegas don't worry - am sure I wasted a few tests along the way!! Try to hold out to Monday if you can!

BlueCrane · 22/04/2011 19:29

PS any news from livin ?

MickyLee · 22/04/2011 20:36

God if cycles can get longer and longer for the first few off the pill then I can't go off last cycle then.. Confused

blue 27degrees in hotter than here! It was about 22 degrees today but a cold wind so felt about 17-18. Bet the weather changes when I get there. Mind you July/Aug can get to 45 some days so enjoying the coolness while I can.

Fx for us last sitting ladies.. it would a great if one of us finished with a BFP!

BlueCrane · 22/04/2011 20:46

It was ultra frustrating micky meant I had no idea from first month trying as had been 30 days before then and suddenly jumped to 35! Am guessing not everyone's the same but worth bearing in mind. 45degs is way too hot for me...I start to melt not long after it passes 30!
