Hola! Welcome to our new home...

OP posts:
MickyLee · 14/04/2011 17:37

vegas I heard that the first cycle after MC you are much more fertile, any truth in that? and if so maybe the EWCM is the reason behind it Hmm

weimy · 14/04/2011 17:43

I've heard that too :)

Hi all and congrats on all the BFPs.

I stupidly tested this morning (I know, I know), and got a negative, of course.

I'm going to try my very hardest to wait until AF is due (Sunday I think).

I sometimes think I feel pregnant (v. tired, weeing a lot, wanting coffee which I normally hate) but other times think I'm definitely not.

spidookly · 14/04/2011 18:22

My aunt conceived both her boys the cycle after MC.

She was always adamant when doctors advised her to wait that there was no way she was missing out on that extra fertility she felt she had.

Yeap as predicted af arrived today, not at all surprised as had classic sings of headache and crying and strangely enough the last couple of days started to feel not quite sure if I want another baby but today definetly back on yes I do. Think it was possibly my body letting me know it was not happening this month, plus things complicated with ds2 really think I must be mad when he requires so much attention. Im now enjoying big glass of Wine. So I off to January bus but will still hang around to see how you all getting on.
New house Karbea, how exciting. Is it bigger? Did you like it?
Fx for you all at the weekend

orangehead · 14/04/2011 21:06

There is two jan buses Confused

weimy · 14/04/2011 21:09

No, one is a coach for the whole year the other is a bus for the month Grin. I started the 2012 coach after the 2011 coach I was previously on ran out :)

orangehead · 14/04/2011 21:57

Ah right I understand now Smile. Had a bit too much wine tonight so a bit slow Grin

olismum23 · 14/04/2011 22:12

Just popped in to say hello.

dd was conceived the month immediately after one of my MC.

Deafworm · 15/04/2011 08:19

morning all mickeylee with my third i knew and with my last pregnancy that i mc i knew. im talking myself out of it as im worried about another mc but im fairly certain this time too and had a faint line this morning, i darent say the letters as at least if i start bleeding in the next few days i can tell myself its af not another mc, will see what happens tomorrow when i am due.

good luck for a stronger line bluecrane, im in a similar position, refuse to believe it till its a bold block of colour or at least bolder than this one, struggling not to teste every ten minutes!

hope it becomes clear for you soon vegasmum

BlueCrane · 15/04/2011 08:26

ooh deafworm keep us posted! I'm just peeing on my internet cheapies at the moment which are getting slowly stronger. Will buy a digi to do on Sunday I think. Which is handy as I'm seeing a good friend who I don't see often tomorrow and she will be probing to see if we're TTC yet and at least I can be (almost) truthful in saying no progress yet with a relatively clear conscience. I really don't want to lie but it's way too early days to be telling anyone!

I didn't get any responses re. cake preferences so have baked a selection!

Deafworm · 15/04/2011 08:39

i really did wonder where that was going bluecrane, the preview said ooh deafworm keep us posted! I'm just peeing on my inter..... ive just bought internet cheapies too blue, in my experience (ttc#4 5 pregnancies under my belt) internet cheapies are perfectly good enough, i started using them after a friend with 6 kids recomended them so they have a pretty good success rate! my dh is away for 4 months so if i get a good bfp im going to have to tell a few people almost immediately as theres a lot of community support but i dont feel right drawing on it without a good reason.

as for cake, lemon drizzle over here please! off to speech therapy with dd2 this morning and may just have to stop by the bakers while im out :o dd3 is singing to me while i type, she is 21mnths so im getting a chorus of mamama...mamama!

sevenfrustrateddwarves · 15/04/2011 09:24

Sorry AF got you orange.

Blue just thought I'd let you know that I done a CB digital as well on Wednesday (8 days after AF due) which said 'not pregnant' despite having 4 feint BFP's. They're obviously not even as sensitive as Tesco or Asda tests. My 2 FR's were the clearest lines by far though.

BlueCrane · 15/04/2011 09:32

That's interesting seven ...partly why I'm holding off on the digi for the moment as I can't face it saying 'not pregnant' after my run in with the docs yesterday! Would prefer to wait until I know hcg high enough to get the right answer IYSWIM Smile How are you doing though? Has it sunk in yet? I have an equally clear albeit still feint line on FR (wednesday) and Tesco (Thursday).

sevendwarves · 15/04/2011 09:48

It has sunk in but I still can't believe I managed to conceive so quickly after DS took such a long time. I had to tell my best friend yesterday as I'm going on her 'Its a Knockout' hen weekend at the end of May and she's struggling with numbers. They said they could go as low as 6 people but it would be very tiring with that few people, there will now only be 5 as I won't be able to join in being hit with inflatables!

Thankfully she said she still wants me to go and will look for something else instead.

scuffle · 15/04/2011 10:22

Hola Ladies, thought I'd check in. Congrats Seven and Blue!

My AF is due today or tomorrow. According to OPKs didnt OV until day 17 so hoping it comes later if anything just to make sure LP is long enough (well hoping it doesn't come at all reallyWink)
Was feeling really hopeful earlier in the week as had horrible cramps from sunday to tuesday which is highly unusual and thought it could be implantation. However got really cranky with DH last night, so sure I am PMSing. Also POAS.. couldn't resist.. and there was nothing.Blush

I so wanted a 2011 baby. Why did I wait so long to TTC!Angry

scuffle · 15/04/2011 10:23

seven Its a knockout sounds awesome!

spidookly · 15/04/2011 12:41

Why are you all calling them feint lines? Confused

Feint as in the narrowest lines in ruled copybooks?

CD24 - still feel hungover. did not drink last night.

BlueCrane · 15/04/2011 14:38

spidookly they're definitely lines but just not as dark as the control line IYSWIM and after my doc yesterday said they weren't dark enough it made me a little nervous about the whole thing...even though I had two BFP pee sticks with me to show her...one FR and one Tesco and a whole bag of IC's but didn't show her those Blush Everyone on here has always said 'a line is a line' but my silly doc was being awkward about them!! Angry Just been into town and bought my digi sticks for Sunday / next week!

PS orange sorry about AF Sad
PPS spidookly hope the hangover feeling turns out to be for a good reason Wink

xstitch · 15/04/2011 14:44

blue remember the line does not have to be as dark as the control line. It even says that on the test instructions. TBH I think your GP is being a tit and very unfair on you. I will confess to having done about 8 tests Blush Only the one I did yesterday as an experiment after reading about your GP are the 2 lines remotely the same and 2 of mine were digital tests one saying pregnant 1-2 weeks and a week later pregnant 2-3. Just remember the digital ones only show their results for about 24hrs before the batter gives out so keep one for your appointment day so you can show it Wink
