There is really no way a beanie is going to survive in me-lost my temper big time with DD. While I was getting ready to go to my friends I heard a ripping sound and when I went downstairs DD was sat on the settee shredding my knitting pattern (I'm in the middle of knitting another clown) so I shouted and smacked her so hard that she fell over. I put her out of the room and all she wanted was to come back in and watch CBeebies-no chance! I'm hoping it is just my hormones playing up but everytime I lose it I end up shaking.

At least I was able to get out of the house and calm down at my friend's house.

Off to have a sit down and watch Lost.

Diddle · 27/10/2005 16:32

oh HC - your hormones will be flying about everywhere, just take a deep breath next time and remove yourself from the situation. it won't do you beanie or dd any good getting so angry.
bug hugs x x x

HellKat · 27/10/2005 16:47

Hc- {{{{{{{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}}}}}} we've all been there hunny. Some of us may have lashed out, others shouted etc. Like Dids said, just try to remove yourself from the situation. My saviour has been the garden lol. If I get mega stressed and liable to snap, I put ds2 on the couch with his beloved Peppa Pig video and go and stand outside for a minute or two (can see him through the window btw ). It really is a godsend hun.
We all get snappy, stressed. Unfortunately it's the part of parenting most don't warn you about eh? Look on the bright side, she'll have forgotten this by now. The person who won't is you. So don't be too hard on yourself. We're here for you sweety xxxx

mumswish · 27/10/2005 16:54

HC - Dont be so hard on yourself. Hormones and naughty kids are a recipe for disaster. Take your time to calm down and then act normal again, she'll soon forget.

Btw, I'm off in a min girls and wont be back till Monday, off tomorrow again. Last time tho and then Im back to normal hours!!

Coathanger · 27/10/2005 18:03

Hi everyone!!

HC - don't worry I was always loosing it with kids when I was PG with DS3. They never remember and you will soon calm down. XX

Shelly - thanks for the reassurance XX I know miracles can happen - all 3 of mine are. Dh and I were told we would never have kids. I tried for 3 years for my first, after being told I wasn't OVing and DH had a very low count. How I would love to find that consultant!! hehe

Coathanger · 27/10/2005 18:17

Off to cook dinner now! Will be back later this evening! XX

Coathanger · 27/10/2005 20:02

Hello!! Who's here for some evening chat.

Hmmmm, I wonder if Peepee is about after her training today?.....

HumphreysCorner · 27/10/2005 20:04

Coathanger · 27/10/2005 20:05

Evening HC!! Hows you?

Coathanger · 27/10/2005 20:12

WHERE DO YOU ALL GO AFTER 8PM????????

Is there some party you all go to that I'm not invited to??

Perhaps you all turn into pumpkins after 8pm!

Or...

Or...

perhaps I am just a sad old soul who spends all her time talking to people she can't see in the internet, and you lot aren't sad old souls!

Coathanger · 27/10/2005 20:12

Thats enought to let Peepee section me!! Talking to people I can't see! Imaginary friends....

Coathanger · 27/10/2005 20:22

Aaaaah, you lot are boring!!

I'm off to have a bath!

See ya in the morning!

Night!! XXXX

HumphreysCorner · 27/10/2005 20:27

Hi Coathanger-this is why you are mad-all this taking to youself-lol.

DD has gone to bed. Luckily DH got her ready and took her up so I could stand back abit. Must confess that I had to have a small sherry to steady my nerves.

Still feel really awful about the whole thing with her having her bump as well. Haven't told DH about it as I don't know what he would do. Every day I get up and think today I will not shout at her but then she does something bad-god, how on earth will I cope with 2? Perhaps I'm destined to have just the 1 child.

Anyway, before I get any more sombre, Spooks is on at 9 o'clock so just been buying things off Ebay again to pass the time before I see the gorgeous Rupert. Going on MSN games for a little chill out session first.

I'm sure you will not be alone Coathanger-someone will join you soon.

Wishing you all a good evening.

Until tomorrow.

Morning ladies

Oh what a bad night! At 3am DH put the light on and said what is buzzing and when we looked there was a huuuuge wasp on the headboard. Opened the window and finally managed to chase it out. Lights out then DH did the same again-what is buzzing. We had inadvertently let in a mosquito while letting the wasp out. Ended up watching TV and drinking tea at 3 in the morning.

Pouring with rain here so taking DD to get some Halloween bits for the party at nursery on Monday-she seems fine today and I am determined not to shout at her.

Hope everyone is OK.

slinkstah, spub, Diddle and Lottielou-all quiet on the western front? ((xx))

carly82-hope it went OK yesterday-how are you today? Resting I hope. ((xx))

Hi HellKat, Coathanger, maddyd, mygirllolipop, wannabump2006, peepee, mumswish and mojomummy-hope I haven't forgotten anyone. ((xx))

Back soon.
