A man walks into a bar and says "Bartender gimme a triple shot of Jack". The bartender pours, and the man downs it, slams the glass on the bar and says "Another".
The bartender pours another. The man downs it and says "Another".

As the bartender pours the third glass he says, "Mister you drink like you have a problem. Want to talk about it?"

The man says, "Ten years, ten years I've been married to my wife, and today I go home a little early to surprise her, and I find my best friend, MY BEST FRIEND, in bed having sex with her."

The bartender says "Geez, what did you say."

The man says " I told him, BAD DOG! BAD DOG!"

A lady approaches her priest and tells him "Father, I have a problem. I have two female talking parrots, but they only know how to say one thing."

"What do they say?" the priest inquired.

"They only know how to say, 'Hi, we're prostitutes. Want to have some fun?'"

"That's terrible!" the priest exclaimed, "but I have a solution to your problem. Bring your two female parrots over to my house and I will put them with my two male talking parrots whom I taught to pray and read the bible. My parrots will teach your parrots to stop saying that terrible phrase and your female parrots will learn the joys of praise and worship."

"Thank you!" the woman responded.

The next day the woman brings her female parrots to the priest's house. His two male parrots are holding the rosary beads and praying in their cage. The lady puts her two female parrots in with the male parrots and the female parrots say "Hi we're prostitutes, want to have some fun?"

One male parrot looks over at the other male parrot and exclaims, "Put the beads away, brother. Our prayers have been answered!"

Wannabump2006,

I understand where you are coming from... Last year I lost my uncle on boxing day, my aunt in march and then my dad in June. I had been there throughout my dads and aunts illness. Both of them had stomach cancer. I was the one in the family who helped them thru treatment and took them to hospital etc....It's a long story... Anyway, not long after dad had died I found out i was pregnant and was torn as I would have really wanted him to be around but also pleased that something good was finally happening in our lives. 11 weeks into the pregnancy I m/c.
This was the final straw. I couldn't stop crying and became depressed. I was signed off sick from work. I was away for 6 months. In those months I saw a councillor who was great and helped me get back on track.
Going back to work was so scarey. I didn't want people to fuss over me as I feared this would set me off. I only had contact with one person from work whilst off. She warned people not to fuss etc and on my return when I was asked how i was I just said 'I am loads better thanks.' And that was it. Everything was back to 'normal' within hours. I realised that this first step was just as worrying for my colleagues as it was for me.
Once you get over the first hurdle you will be fine. You will never forget what has happened to you and will no doubt seek some quiet time in the loo for a cry (as I did) but it will be OK.
Don't worry about weight gain, I put on 3 stone whilst off and though I knew I looked like a blob everyone kept saying how great I looked. Your colleagues will be overly nice to you, trust me. Don't worry too much about it. If you wanna chat, I'm here and so is everyone else.

One last thing.... We Will Get Our Bumps for 2006.......

mumswish · 25/10/2005 16:17

Diddle · 25/10/2005 16:29

carly82 · 25/10/2005 16:30

DIDDLE what a lovely thing to say about one person giving way to another

Diddle · 25/10/2005 16:36

I truly believe it Carly, when i was born my great grandad had just passed away, and i ahve heard many accounts from different people in my life who it has happened to. sad but true
