woohoo over here

OP posts:
panashe · 02/03/2011 13:57

hi Diege, maybe its because you were looking for symptoms but now you know you are pregnant the opposite happens and we start to think we don't have any symptoms Confused

I have just got back from a sainsburys shop, big mistake when starving hungry. Just wanted to buy everything. Think dp and I have been doing a bit of comfort eating, lots of cream cakes and the like and its amazing in just a couple of weeks I can see my waist line thickening and not for the right reasons Hmm Anywat was very good and my only treat was blackberry jam and of course crusty brown bread to put it on, want tomorrows breakfast now !!

Just going to go with the flow this month, I know roughly when I will ovulate. I have never succombed (sp?) to opk and hesitant to. As many have said the tcc takes over and becomes your focus, I am really trying hard for that not to happen, and I guess I have a wedding to think about Shock

panashe · 02/03/2011 14:04

Can I ask a question ? I like to have a glass of wine and I think perhaps I should give it up or cut down after reading about it affecting fertility. Does anyone have any views on it or have you cut it out/down ? :)

louisesh · 02/03/2011 14:34

Panashe i was still having a couple of glasees of wine a week until i got my bfp.You got to live life i think most things in moderation are ok.

Isaboo good to hear about your mum's cat.I think Scottie has got a good few years left in him.X

Tina our 2 cats only tolerate each other. We got Cleo 3 months after Scottie 10 years ago so he'd have some company unfortunately they've never been bessy mates but she did miss him yesterday.

Arh bb your poor cat XXXXXX It's heartbreaking.

Collected Scottie diet food from the vets and his bp test had gone up from £49 to £59.....Confused.I said how come receptionist " the vet apologises he quoted you wrong yesterday!!!!"

Nice try must starting try that myself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Diege · 02/03/2011 16:21

I think you're right Panashe, we obsess when we have the symptoms, obsess when they're gone Grin
And yes your wedding! Did you decide on December after all?
Hi Lou! I hope that last test of yours was the last one you took Grin. Lol at Hippy pointing out that your dog seems to suffer from the opposite of you wee-sample wise Grin We are thinking of getting another cat as ours sadly died last year. However, I do get very stressed out when they go missing, and I know the girls would also worry so just wonder whether it's worth it? A kitten would be nice though.
Nearly finished here then off for the train. I have just reaslied that I need to leave the house at 6.30am tomorrow - I feel like crying!

hippychick66 · 02/03/2011 17:31

Does anyone else have NO pets???? We did have 2 fish but they erm....died - (and they were very tasty - haha Wink)

panashe · 02/03/2011 18:08

That reminds me of a friend I had when a youngster, her pet rabbit died and they ate it !!!

nicole333 · 02/03/2011 20:13

Evening all!

Sorry, dashing in and out again. So tired after some early starts and poor sleep since the weekend.

I have a question, that strangely I wouldn't ask on any other thread or start a thread with. But, this afternoon when I came home from work I had a wee and saw fresh blood dripping. I investigated and it was definetly coming from 'down there'!!

Now, since charting for 3 months I have a LP of 14 days. My chart says I did ovulate which means today is 8DPO. It's not spotting, it's thin, fresh, and drippy. Not like AF at all.

What do you think could be going on? Hmm

P.S. Sorry it's all about me.

Curlylox · 02/03/2011 20:37

Congratulations diege, aahh I'm so happy for you and lou and of course for panashe re her wedding.

Nicole Do you have any cramping pain at all?
For the record we have a 10 month old black lab.

Diege · 02/03/2011 21:16

Thanks Curly! I have a cockatiel called Harvey who is a bloody PITA - his screecking is unbeliecveable and I swear he picks his moments.I line the idea of a dog but I am too lazy to walk it twice a day!
Nicole the timing of your bleed could be implantation which I know can resemble a light period. By not like af do you mean colour etc?
Boobs are now tender again, and if I think back they do tend to get more tender as the day progresses. I also have mouthfuls of metallic-tasting saliva (sorry) which is a typical early preg sign for me that I didn't have with the mc pregnancy. Oh I hope I'm not geting my hopes up just for them to be dashed..Anyway, one day at a time!

hippychick66 · 02/03/2011 23:30

Just off to bed but wanted to just say to nicole that I'm not sure what that bleed could be - the only thing I could think would be inplantation but I am wary of getting your hopes up my love. Anyone else got any ideas???

diege get your hands off those boobs - they're mine Grin

ShockShock about the rabbit - I was only kidding - honest!

Italiangreyhound · 03/03/2011 03:02

Diege Congratulations, wow. Grin

Muchlove you will be missed. Sad

*Lol you are not the oldest, I am, I am 46! Sad

Panashe I would love to be your wedding planner! Wink

Lou sorry about your cat. How is everything else going?

JugglingMamaand Isaboo*, welcome.

Hippy I?ve got two words for you ? stick insects. [stick] [stick] (use your imagination!). No fur, very little food and you don?t need to worry about them slithering out of the tank and appearing in your bed in the night (sorry to anyone who does have a snake!).
Our hamster won a prize the other day. DD is so proud. (I mean he was in a competition and he won second prize in his category, I don?t mean he phoned up Richard and Judy and guessed a word!).

Morning all

TMI alert; terrible trapped wind here Blush meant no SWI last night which was going to be my finale for the month. Then this morning heaps of EWCM. Today is day 16, SWI 8, 10, 11, 13, which by my usual cycle length would/should be enough to catch it. Do you think I should bother tonight? (DP was up at 3am this morning to finish underfloor heating before screed arrived at 7am so not sure he'll exactly be "in the mood"). Maybe supersperm will survive... oh well, it's not as if EVERY MONTH MATTERS OR ANYTHING...

Anyway hippy you could always borrow a cat from me for the weekend (if you're ever cross with DH Grin); we have 5 and 4 of them look the same, so we'd never notice... :)

Would love to get a dog when we "escape to the country". Would also like a rabbit or 2, maybe some ducks. Like the idea of chickens, but not sure if I could cope with their feet.

Wave to all.

BeattieBow · 03/03/2011 09:06

Jolls can you remind me (using initials etc) where in the country you are intending to go?

Our other option apart from London is L.... I love it there. but still have the problem of the commute[s]

Curlylox · 03/03/2011 09:26

Morning ladies! My my we are a chatty lot aren't we but am loving it. I make a point to log and read daily (saddo) to keep up but may not always post. Even though we've never met it's great to share our ups and downs as we endeavour to reach our common goal. Muchlove I know how dishearten you must feel but try and pop in when you can please and if you feel up to it, even just to let us know you're ok.
Off to physio now, then will be walking Lucy later before I go to my one to one pilates class. From there pick up dd from school then straight to Drs for blood test results (yikes). CD7 for me today, so will be poas later Smile
nicole please give us an update.
waves and hugs to lou jolls hippy italian lol BB much nicole diege panashe gum tina lia isaboo onEdge and anyone else I may have missed.

Everyone is very mysterious about where they live or are moving to - except ME - I am moving to the IOW - there I've finally said it - so now you all know Grin

LOL at jolls legless chickens and italian's hamster calling in to a phone in show GrinGrin

nicole anymore odd bleeding???

My AF finally arrived today 14 days after I ovulated. I would normally be quite pleased with that LP but not sure it is quite so good if you've had brown or pink spotting for 3/4 days before that Hmm It was weird cos I'd got so used to just seeing this rusty old stuff when I wiped and suddenly this morning it was ahhhhhhh red blood like a scene from a horror movie. Anyway will count this as day 1. I MIGHT book my smear now I know when i can do it (fingers crossed the feckin' alarm doesn't go off).

italian I know it's not as bad as a snake but I still wouldn't wanna find a stick insect in my bed!

jolls You could try one more SWI due to the EWCM (are you SURE it's not sperm Blush) but as you're hubbie was up so early it might be best not to push him too far. yum underfloor heating sounds fab. MY DH wants to build a house when we move and he is forever trying to get me into discussions about underfloor heating, re-claimed rain water, generating your own electricity etc. oh flippin' heck - I just wanna move to a house that's already built - yawn yawn.

I'm popping into my old work today to say goodbye to one of the preggos who is off to have her baby. Not the one who had all the trisomy stuff. I am genuinly pleased for her and although of course I'm a bit jealous I realise that it's her turn now. And why not, it's her first and I've had 2 already.

Thinking of Lou and Diege this morning and hoping you both feel really sick - ha ha.

hippychick66 · 03/03/2011 09:42

crossed posts with you curly. Good morning to you, all the best at the docs. X

BeattieBow · 03/03/2011 09:51

hippy I have the same. while on the one hand I think it's good the LP is ok, on the other I just want to move onto the next cycle!

I've had cramping for 3 days now too. grr.

hippychick66 · 03/03/2011 10:00

I know what you mean BB once you've had the BFN and the spotting starts you wanna get the crappy bit over and have another chance and you have to wait 4 days for it to just start!!!

I watched one born every minute yesterday and saw the couple who'd had all the sadness. When i first saw them I thought they looked like everything would always go right for them (they just looked perfect) - and then you found out they had lost one child 6 weeks after she was born and then had a still born at 29 weeks and I realised that surprise surprise you really can't judge a book by it's cover. She was in having a c section and she looked so worried (who can blame her). I cried my eyes out when she got her healthy baby at the end. I must stop assuming that just cos people look like their life is perfect it means it is. Blush

louisesh · 03/03/2011 10:58

Hippy my sister told me about that couple said they reminded them of us.That was a lovely story .Sorry af is here Sad but back to it this month......Grin

BB hope af comes soon.Next cycle is beckoning XXX

Nicole where is your dischafge from? Definatly vaginal or maybe uretheral?

Jolls Hi...Go for it if you can or if your hubby is "up" for it!!!!!

Hi Curly X

Hi Italian i m good.My cat is fine thanks plodding on XXX

Diege today we are pregnant.Good for you with signs and symptons.I don t particularly get any which is normal for me.

Hi Panashe hope you re ok?

Hi Much,Tina and everyone else.

All fine here just in touch with EPU to see when i can be scanned. My consultant said i need to be scanned asap.Awaiting them to ring back.Been swimming this am at our new gym very posh much nicer than where we were going before.

Diege · 03/03/2011 14:16

Hello! I have to say Lou that I also thought of you when watching this week's One Born Every Minute. Good that they had a different angle than the usual biths they show. How are you feeling today?
Hippy I'll admit that for months I thought it was Iowa you were moving to...it was only when people started writing The IOW that I clicked Blush Sorry about af Sad; re: spotting I think Toni says that shouldn't be taken as shortening luteal phase if I remember correctly? Ie. womb lining starts breaking down anyway if egg not fertilised, so same process going on in everyone, just that some have spotting to show thsi, others not? I may be wrong but I'm sure I've read that soemwhere Confused
Back to Health and Safety meeting - nothing worse to sit throguh after 5.30am start...

Diege · 03/03/2011 15:02

Meant to say earlier that there is a woman on the 'due in Nov' thread that I am lurking on that is expecting her 4th and she is 49!!!!!

shandybass · 03/03/2011 15:05

Hi I'm new here and have tried posting several times but got distracted! Where to start. I've been Ttc without any science for about 6months and with the science for about 3 months and no luck.

I had advice on here from Beattiebow and others, sorry if I got your name wrong, and bought the Taking charge of your fertility book, bought opk, clear blue and thermometer. Its all quite something and can't believe I didn't pay more attention before to my body. Better late than never I guess at 40.

Anyway opk seemed to work showing a blue line around cd11 both times, have started temping this cycle and it's all v high at the moment 97+ and has been since I started on cd5. I'm trying to observe cfm but not really too sure of any differences. I wish it was all a bit easier. I haven't been for tests.

Anyway I better post or this will end up a marathon too. I have dd1 and dd2 but really keen to have no 3, greedy I know!

BeattieBow · 03/03/2011 15:20

glad to be of help shandy and welcome!

that's interesting about the LP diege. I did know hat day 1 isn't until proper bleeding has started, but always worried that my LP was a bit weak if I was spotting etc, but interesting to know that we all go through that process.

I hope my blumming period starts soon though - I'm on clomid and follicle tracking again next week and I need to fit appointments in with work etc.

Diege · 03/03/2011 18:45

Welcome shandybass (I rememebr drinking those!).
BB are you absolutely sure you're 'out' for this month?

nicole333 · 03/03/2011 19:01

Hi all, another quick update, please forgive me Blush Hi to shandy

The blood was definetly from the vag lou and when I say it wasn't like AF i mean, it was blood like if you had cut yourself. Very red, thin and drippy! It hasn't continued, but, brace yourselves for TMI......exercise can sometimes make my EWCM appear. This morning, whilst out with the dog i felt slightly wet! when i came home and had a wee, I could see what it was, even though it had dried by then. There was 2 small blobs of coloured CM. A little brown in colour. I have never had CM at any other time than OV so don't know what's going on there. Also, the blood doesn't seem like implantation?
