Woop for Digi :)

digitalgirl · 14/02/2011 13:14

Thank you ladies. Back at work now. Did a bit of inadvisable googling and first gestational size chart I came across puts 6mm as right on for 5 weeks. So...phew!

Will read back through other posts and do a bit of namechecking, have been incredibly selfish in my posts lately. Blush

nickstermum · 14/02/2011 13:21

dig glad dr google was supportive for once... Grin

Wombat33 · 14/02/2011 13:29

Knitter well done on the positive attitude! I'm trying to cultivate one today too :)

Another scan would be reassuring but I'm trying not to worry too much. If I lose my nerve I'll just book another private one I think. Hopefully the bleeding will go and I'll just continue problem and worry free until the 12 wk scan (well... I can dream!!! Smile)

Digi glad it's all positive news. google can be good sometimes!!

Nix sorry you're feeling poorly and tired. I'm afraid I'm not sure about the iron thing. Maybe ask your lovely midwife??

I promise you all I'm going to try and be less selfish with my posting this week but thank you all for all your support recently!! Hugs xxx

lovemysleep · 14/02/2011 13:47

nix have been having a lunchtime nap myself for the past week - only way i've been able to survive the early waking that has been plaguing me. Am being rather indulgent, but I think I may aswell make the most of it...Hope the bug goes away soon.
Wombat Glad the doc doesn't think there's too much too worry about.
Knitter what is it with the night sweats? Am a right sweaty madam too...Have been sleeping in the spare room for the past week, as the thought of sharing my bed with anyone just doesn't appeal. I'm either awake, windy or sweaty - perfect bedfellow, eh?

Take care ladies - hello to anyone I haven't mentioned x

KnitterNotTwitter · 14/02/2011 13:56

love I'm also sleeping a lot lighter than normal... Poor DH doesn't get any escape though as we haven't got a spare room. We have changed down to the summer Duvet though which has helped!

I've been napping when DS does at the weekends - i find him more tireing than work TBH!

nickstermum · 14/02/2011 15:04

love if i wasnt twinned with owl i think you and i could be the same person! Farting, sweating, mmmmm sounds familiar. and the runs....WTF? Confused

I cannot sleep without a fan
Wearing preferably nowt! (hideous thought of the day!)
DH has been in the spare room for a while... I slept for 3 hours on sat aft...
For my entire first trimester i couldnt sleep at night... bizarrely.

Now i desparately want to sleep but DS gets me up 3 times a night - Gah! Hes 3 and he still wants milk in the night! Wont drink it cold which means a trip downstairs to the microwave..... i know, i know.. rod for own back etc.... !! usually hes so good at night.

Not that i am moaning of course... DS been ending up in our bed with me being left with a 6 inch space of a superkingsize to snooze on!! Love it really Grin

owlbooty · 14/02/2011 15:16

Nix I am knackered too and keep falling asleep during the day - never had that in first trimester. Also feeling sicky again. WTF? Is very odd.

Ps. The spatone may give you constipation. Don't say I didn't warn you Grin

Daisybell1 · 14/02/2011 15:46

Waves shyly

I have been lurking on this thread since its inception as, although I'm fortunate not to have suffered a MC, you have all summed up my worries/fears/panics so well, I feel that I'm not going crazy alone.

However, I was wondering if I could seek your more open reassurance (or failing that, a wet haddock to the left side of my head)?

I've been crampy since finding out I'm PG (I'm 9+6) which has worried me, but last night my cat decided to leap from the sofa arm into my stomach. I had pains immediately after, and my crampiness has been worse today.

Am trying to be rational and thinking its highly unlikely any damage can have been done (plus a fatalistic view that nothing could be done about it anyway) but I'm still wibbling inside....

Haddocks or Brew welcomed in equal quantities!

lovemysleep · 14/02/2011 15:56

Hi Daisybell - welcome!

I think it can be completely normal to feel crampy, as I think it's just everything that's going on in there - some seem to get it more than others. If you are worried about it and it seems to be getting worse, maybe a trip to the doctors would be a good idea. They can maybe check you out, and then hopefully, reassure you that it is nothing to worry about.

As for wibbling inside, you're in the right place here......we are always wibbling and wobbling through each day Wink

And the rest of the ladies - the pg lark is a glamorous business isn't it? My tracky bottoms are getting worn out, and I can't bear to look at my pasty face in the mirror. Worth it though.......but I cannot wait to bloom xx

Wombat33 · 14/02/2011 16:06

Ha love - blooming would be marvellous - right now I'm getting through spot concealler at an alarming rate!

Daisy hello!!!!! Big hugs. I'm sorry you're feeling crampy though I know it is a very normal pg symptom all these things are worrying aren't they? FX it will fade as the day goes on.

Wombat33 · 14/02/2011 16:08

Oh and Brew all round.

owlbooty · 14/02/2011 16:09

Welcome :) I had a scan at 9+4 and told the doc I had been getting mucho stretchy crampy feelings. She said it was ligaments and muscles and stuff shifting about. I wonder if your badass cat has inadvertently twanged some of your poor stretching ligaments? In which case they will probably be a bit sensitive today. I seem to manage this every time I cough or sneeze and actually did myself a right mischief watching you've been framed last night (laughing when you're not expecting to is surprisingly painful) :)

btw; my cat will have a flying lesson if he tries that stunt.

owlbooty · 14/02/2011 16:10

Also; blooming? Tis a myth I tell you. I feel sicky and farty today. NOT attractive.

Wombat33 · 14/02/2011 16:53

Oh Owl don't remove all hope from us!! Grin

Daisybell1 · 14/02/2011 17:05

Thank you so much, I think the cat must hjave exacerbated the standard stretching, had another twinge just then ducking to avoid owl's haddock!

Cat is now evicted after last night's antics...

wakarimasen · 14/02/2011 17:07

Digitalgirl glad your scan went ok. I am 5 weeks tomorrow so I think our dates are very similar! It's nice to have someone to hold hands with Smile

daisy so many people have cramps in the early stages so I'm sure its nothing. My cat loves lying across my belly Hmm

lovemysleep I wast jsut thinking how pasty I look after getting home from work!

It seems a few people are waking early in the morning. I wondered if I was waking early because I am majorly slightly anxious!

Good news for me is that brown spotting has got less and less and not had any for 24 hrs. This is really positive for me as I just spotted for weeks before last MC so I am trying to be more positive.

Going to GP tomorrow if only to register that I am pregant. I am also going to book in a for a private scan as they are only £25 where we are. I would rather pay than have to go back to the hospital where I had my ERPC in August Sad

But trying to be postitive. It's funny because just before I got a BFP we were driving on the motorway and suddenly a pink balloon bounced off the bonnet. I thought that was some sort of sign and I am using that as a positive force right now Smile

nickstermum · 14/02/2011 18:00

daisy i have two cats, 1kilocat and 7kilocat... 1kilocat drilled on me after pouncing on my bump the other day and it was very tender, the next day i had a brown bleed (totally unrelated btw) but my tummy was very tender anyway....

I was scanned a day or two later and bambino was fine and surrounded in tons of water...

I think its very probably to do with ligament and stretching at this stage? You would know about cramping.. there is a stark difference between cramping and twinges.. trust me I MC at 12 weeks last time. The cramps are like your uterus being squeezed and released...

Am sure you will be totally ok xxxx

nickstermum · 14/02/2011 18:04

owl have to say if i cough or sneeze in bed it fecking wrecks unless i bring my legs up to my chest to absorb the twinge....

popped into tesco en route to collect DS from pre-school tonight and felt all sticky and wet, and twingy... so of course had to rush to examine... NOTHING! SO... WHEN the feck will i start to relax? 15 weeks pg FFS!
Hmm could it have been fluttering!?? Who knows, i dont!

PS all, as you come into the second trimester everything is expanding and growing xx

Not sicky but still very picky about what i eat and still cant eat chocolate...WTF?! Should by rights look like posh spice by now Grin

Wombat33 · 14/02/2011 18:16

It's all that Weetabix Nix Wink

nickstermum · 14/02/2011 19:07

Funnily enough Wombo i havent had any weetabix for weeks! Grin gone right off it.

Just sent DS out to get me a nice cold crispy salad... thats all i want Grin with a tin of tomato fish Grin BONKERS

Wombat33 · 14/02/2011 19:22

You've passed that one on to me! (the weetabix not the tinned tomato fish - never in a million years will I eat that!) have got through a any since being seized by the urge late last week Smile

Wombat33 · 14/02/2011 19:24

a box

PinkFondantFancy · 14/02/2011 19:32

Hello all - this had fallen off the list of threads I'm on so thought I'd better pop in and say hello!!

nix your dinner sounds v. healthy, if a bit weird!!! I can't stop eating - I am going to be the size of a house shortly independently of what a baby will do to me..... We've got XXL Papa Johns on its way Grin

digi glad everything's measuring ok for dates. Good idea waiting a week and a bit for a follow-up, fingers crossed you'll see a reassuringly big difference by then

hairy I'm thinking of you nice lady, hope you're ok.

Hi daisy it sounds normal to me (although no experience of making it that far yet!!)

lady I am the same with the Clexane injections - on my left side it stings like hell and bruises, on my right size it's not at all so bad. Like you say, all part of the routine now (along with shoving hormones up my arse......) Still, not complaining, if this works I'd do it 3 times a day........

This is a big week for me this week - am now 8w+0 - didn't make it to 9w last time so am keeping everything crossed and trying not to be menkul......

PinkFondantFancy · 14/02/2011 19:34

Oh nix am right off normal chocolate - bar of milka's been in the fridge for a month now but developed a worrying addition to creme eggs, mini eggs and mint aeros Shock
