Morning all Smile

Dachs hope the scan goes well.

Digi mine come and go, I am convinced that as soon as your body is used to the new rise it stops reacting to it... would make sense and at this early stage your bod would be coping with those rises much better... I'm sure it's all ok (((big hug))

Hairy if you're lurking, woke up thinking of you this morning; hoping you'll be back here soon xx

lady all perfectly natural anxiety's. And can I just say, as proven by the number of poas'ers, round here, don't hold back, if you want another scan, have one, do what ever it takes to put your mind at rest. I am sure the next few weeks will be emotionally heightened because of your dd and reaching the point in the pg where it previously went wrong, be strong, you'll get though it as we all have too ((hugs)) Smile

BTW, if anyone else wants to come play on bookface message me your name/email via mn messaging so I can add you and point the others (quite a few of us on there now) in your direction Smile

Wombat33 · 12/02/2011 13:37

Lurking for news from dachs

digi I hope you are lucky too. Fx xxx

waves to bee and anyone else around. Hope you're all holding on to your zen today. i just had a hormonal melt down at dh for no real reason Blush

DachshundsWantPuppies · 12/02/2011 13:56

OK

I'm back

Pup1 still has heartbeat and is now 4mm. pup2 still no visible heartbeat but has grown proportionately the same amount as pup1. Still no idea as to the viability of pup2. Although apparently it's normal for one twin to be a couple of days behind at this stage so it might be ok. Just have to wait until the scan on the 22nd for confirmation of what's really going on. (I'm not holding my breath though!)

OP posts:
Mamapower · 12/02/2011 14:03

Brilliant news Dachs the fact that the growth is proportionate is a fabulous sign that both are doing well Smile

DachshundsWantPuppies · 12/02/2011 14:06

(made the mistake of going into Mamas and Papas on the way back to the car after the scan and am now totally desperate to be further along so I can actually buy some baby stuff - they've got so much adorable stuff in there!)

wakarimasen · 12/02/2011 14:20

Great news Dachs Smile Fingers crossed for twins -that would be lovely.

Wombat33 · 12/02/2011 16:46

Great news dachs!

Less happy here. I'm bleeding again Sad only brown but enough to shatter my zen. Had just bought some maternity trous for work and now worry I won't need them (though am uncomfy in normal trous already which is why I bought them this weekend). Just have to keep everything crossed. Am in two minds whether to try and arrange another scan this week. Think I.ll wait and see what happens for the rest of the weekend.

nickstermum · 12/02/2011 17:21

ring your epu Wombat x ((hugs)) brown is ok x

lovemysleep · 12/02/2011 19:20

Dachs sounds good....made me smile xx

oh wombat, am really, really hoping that you are fine - sending you big hugs and get another scan asap xx

nickstermum · 12/02/2011 20:25

Wombat just re read my post from earlier sorry didn't mean for it to sound dismissive, not at all!

It won't reassure you in anyway at all, cos nothing anyone says will. You have come this far into pg with spotting and brown all the way through and bean is fine, so there is no reason to think this is any different xxxxxx (why didn't I tell myself that last we'd???) no matter what peeps say you will fret but try to get another scan babes xxxxx

nickstermum · 12/02/2011 20:36

Dachs I lived in mamas and papas during my first pg.. Their stuff is awesome and I started shopping at 12 weeks (not a care in the world) this time we have said we are doing nothing at all. Not even the nursery :( just daren't

Mamas and papas has awesome stuff but is pricey and their clothes aren't the best :) the furniture is exceptional. (if you can find the factory shop even better) I didn't, but I would say do your research too :) I have found mothercare to be fab since spending a small fortune in m & p !!!

So exciting.... I have everything crossed that we all get to go on this journey together and make it onto post grads xxxx

Wombat33 · 12/02/2011 21:54

Thanks nix don't worry it didn't sound dismissive. Unfortunately I discovered last w/e the epu doesn't open over the weekend and doesn't allow self referral. Bleeding seems to have slowed (fx stopped) so I'm trying not to worry too much...Smile Am also irrationally worried about scanning too much... No justification for that. Totally irrational! But will wait and see for now I think.

tonythetyger · 12/02/2011 22:04

Hairy really sorry to hear your news. I hope the tests show something that can be done.

KnitterNotTwitter · 12/02/2011 22:08

Hey lovely ladies

Just thought I'd pop in...

So sorry to hear the sad news but am glad that for most people things are going well.

I'm doing ok. I saw my counsellor for what was supposed to be our last session yesterday. She's delighted for me but being pg means my counselling carries on! Fortnightly for now but it carries on until after the point where I lost the MC so that'll be around week 13 I guess. She did joke whether I'd got pg just so I could keep seeing her :)

Am amazingly tired at the moment - don't remember this from either being pregnant with DS or the MC.... Boobs a bit spiky/tingly. I have been weeing loads up until the middle of last week but that has tapered off which is good. No morning sickness but I didn't get any with DS either. Some womb twinges which make me nervous as I had them with the MC but
not the ectopic so I'm convinced it's in the right place. No raging hunger but I do keep getting light headed. Plus I'm very hot in bed - I wake up dripping with sweat (eugh) and I'm dreaming a lot...

Do all these symptoms sound normal to you...?

digitalgirl · 12/02/2011 22:09

Sorry to hear you're worrying too wombat, hope tomorrow is less eventful. Just need to make it to Monday - will your gp refer you?

I have a scan on Monday - but not sure what they will see at 5+2. I guess the sac can be measured?

KnitterNotTwitter · 12/02/2011 22:24

fx wombat

digital With the one I MC'd we saw the yolk sac at 5+1 so you will see something....

nickstermum · 12/02/2011 22:42

Knitter .... All symptoms!!!!!!!!! I still get them :)

ESP hot in bed!

OrangeGloss · 13/02/2011 07:49

Morning all, ukulele's going ok, it is now tuned and I can play 3 chords :)

Mamap that's fantastic news about the scan, I did peek in on Friday so read the good news but no time to post. Excellent you have been discharged they said to me that means I'm back to 'normal' chances/odds instead of worse ones
Hairy I would love to see you lurking, I know what you mean I would miss everyone. Do you take your 2nd pill this morning? I do hope it goes as best it can, and am thinking of you both. Your IVF theory makes sense to me, I hope between that and the testing you have a nice sticky bean soon. And thank you for such kind words when you are in such a difficult place x
Pink I bet your DH will come around in a couple of weeks, do you have someone to go with in the meantime?
Wombat I was told orange juice helps for dizziness, not sure how true that is. I've not really had it myself except when I've stood up too quickly
Bee I've been eating like a pig to keep nausea away, and have been trying to eat Snackajacks as they feel like big carb but low calorie. Be kind to yourself with due date etc coming up, only natural to have these feelings. Don't be sorry about offloading it's what we're here for x
Digi it's still so early to get anything. Symptoms come and go and dammit for it not being the same for everyone so we can't compare. I'm sure you'll be puking in no time :)
Knitter glad you're able to still see your counselor. All of that sounds about right to me :)

Thanks for everyone's support, I've been trying to relax, start to get excited then feel bad like I'm tempting fate. All my friends that know have now decided it's all fine, I'm not so relaxed. I looked on the MC Association website and it said a heartbeat at 10+ weeks is 99.4% chance, and no figure for 12 weeks. I'm trying to reassure myself that whilst I'm not technically 12 it's still a good chance. Would you have a private scan between now at 11 and midwife and 16?

loola2shus · 13/02/2011 09:04

Hello all... just coming to wave at my diffed pals! Hope you're all well xx

Sounding good Dach hugs to wombat I'm sure everything is fine! hugs to everyone else!

Right I think its time for a bacon sarnie, toodles xx

owlbooty · 13/02/2011 10:38

Ooooh, bacon sarnie. Nice one Loola :)

Orange I'm in that same limbo myself (15 weeks today). I haven't organised another scan but I may buy a doppler if the MW won't try and find heartbeat at 16 wk appt on Thursday as I am pretty sure I cannot go another 4 weeks after that without knowing things are progressing. I realised some time around 10 weeks that I couldn't sustain that level of constant hearht-thudding panic as it was just too exhausting - I almost gave up panicking at that point, if you see what I mean, and switched to a lower gear of mild fretting instead :)

The last few days I've been quietly having a bit of a minor wobble and feeling quite down as I've had lots of stretchy aches but you never quite know if they're stretchy aches - good - or things going wrong aches - not good. Argh. They seem to be worst at night so I haven't slept very well in weeks. Am in no way complaining as stretchy aches are most welcome but I do tend to go a bit loopy when I haven't slept. You lot have all this to come!

Dachs ace news on the growth; fingers crossed for both beans!

Knickers Grin Yes, the insane dreams seem to be par for the course. As does the being far too hot.

Digi fingers crossed for Monday's scan - hope it all goes well.

Hairy lovely hope you're okay x

Womble every day that passes you're one day closer to the low risk zone - and you are so nearly there. Do you have a 12 week dating scan lined up? Hope the evil brown stops soon and you get some peace of mind x

hairylights · 13/02/2011 10:59

just checking you are all ok, thanks for lovely messages. Just had second pills shoved up me and have to stay in for observation.

Will keep lurking for news on you all. Thanks so much for all of your support x x x

hippychick66 · 13/02/2011 11:55

Hello all. Just popped on to see how everyone was doing. Saw your sad news hairy - bugger bugger bugger - you really deserve a sticky bean, my love. You sound very strong and capable but I know you must b heartbroken. I echo what jolls says about popping on to the over 40's when you're ready. Hope the tests are helpful.

Pleased to see that knitter is pregnant again. Not sure if you remember me but we had a chat a while ago when I had my 2nd MC after only a small sac could be seen and you were very helpful to me. All the best.

There are so many names on here that i recognise - digi too. Wishing you all the best and still hoping that one day i might get back on one of these pregnant after MC threads.

Keep your eyes on the end goal, girls Smile

nickstermum · 13/02/2011 11:56

Ah hairy :( nice to see you lurking, am still so sorry you have to go throughthis again, i do hope you get some snswers from the testing :( ((special squish))

Special Wave to loola pussy cat x

Owls 15 weeks today for me tooooooo :) how did that happen?

16 weeks is my next milestone.
My MW said i can go and see her every week if i am anxious for a listen in... find that very reassuring. She has written anxious on my notes!!

Try not to wobble owl its a massive journey so far, you have successfully got to 15 weeks. No need to think otherwise is there? Stretchy is good. I was reminded the other day that at the beginning of trimester 2 your uterus does some ligament stretching!!

Wombo i hope the bleed has subsided now? Are you ok? Hope so x

owlbooty · 13/02/2011 12:18

Hairy we can always rely on you for a ladylike turn of phrase Grin Hope you are being treated v.well indeed in hosp. Also hope you escape soon. x

Nix can I please have your midwife? I suspect mine is a bit shite. I wanted to ask you which hospital was your local as I used to work at one in Cheshire when I lived oop North. Would be funny if you ended up on the wards I used to work on. PM me or feel free not to disclose location at all if preferred :)

nickstermum · 13/02/2011 13:22

Owl I'm going to Macclesfield. I wasnt impressed with tehm at all when i birthed DS (mismanaged labour, crap mw) but the EPU handled my MC so well it was just easier to go back there, as they knew my history. I had wanted to go North Staffs as they have a newly built 40m £ maternity centre but i didnt want to wait for the referral...! So Macc again it is...with a VERY SPECIFIC birth plan, and a request to not have a certain MW!

I think the only reason they have said i can go for a listen in is cos they realised i had a very stressful day in A&E rushing up to Macc (we live 25 min away) when they run local clinics every afternoon :)

1 more week to the next milestone for us both xx
