mumswish · 18/10/2005 09:59

babyloos - I'm sure you'll be fine and I cant wait to hear about your scans and stuff. When are you due then?

Diddle · 18/10/2005 10:02

babybloos - huge congratulations, I am 6 wks pregnant and I am having lots of aches and pains, my whole belly aches like i've been doing sit ups. my back aches, my lesg ache, everything aches. It is horrible to be worryign all the time i know just how you feel, i can't stop worrying. But hopefully it will get easier.

babybloos · 18/10/2005 10:08

hi diddle, what kind of tummy pains do you get? 6 wks is great, when do you get first scan? are you going for an early one?

babybloos · 18/10/2005 10:09

sorry diddle i did read your message, just wondered if the sit up pain was in specific areas or just general all over?

Diddle · 18/10/2005 10:14

babybloos - pain is all over my front, sometimes a dull ache in my abdomen, but it could be stretching pains, and i am trying to stay positive, i ahve had the odd twinge, but nothing strong enough to make me jump or take my breath away. hopefully will have an early scan in the next wk or 2 trying to chase the doctor today about it.

OP posts:
babybloos · 18/10/2005 10:22

that does sound like stretching from everything i have read so far. on sunday i really thought my af was coming.....i tested on mon and it was bfp!! my pains were sore and i think i should expect the worst over the next week or so? I have no big pains now just normal pg symptoms like sick and peeing all the time. i may call my midwife and see what is what as she is really nice and won't treat me like a mad woman for calling at 4wks!! i just want to know what will happen next if it does stay.

Diddle · 18/10/2005 10:29

i woke up one morning with sharper pains, and it was bad wind, thats all, coudl be what your pains were. our bodies are all over the place now. I think because of the m/c as well our insides may be more sensitive to stuff too.
Hpw long ago was your m/c/ babybloos?

OP posts:
babybloos · 18/10/2005 10:32

i'm hoping i ate too much broccoli

my mc was on 12th August, twins, i was 8wks and they died at 6wks. we have been really lucky and conceived after first af since mc. i hope we haven't tried too early and my body isn't ready yet?

when was yours?

Coathanger · 18/10/2005 10:41

well, mumswish, if work won't let you have a bit of time off to go to the docs, then go off sick. they can't expect you to work if you are genuinely ill. Tell them straight

mumswish · 18/10/2005 10:47

Well thats what I kinda want to do. Its just the MD is here today (not normally here) and because her boss is here my boss is being overly moody and wants me here cos if I'm not then the phones go on ring around and it makes the place look less professional. Plus I'm too quiet to just go tell people I have to go home. i'm one of those who asks and hopes. Basically a big wimp. I just dont know what to do, I've got really strong painkillers I can take but what if by some ridiculous chance I'm pg, those pills will hurt baby.

Coathanger · 18/10/2005 10:50

Can you go out in your lunch break? Get yourself a first response PG test and do it. And then promptly "pass out" in full view of about 4 co-workers. I bet you when MD finds out one of their employees is that poorly they will be sendingyou home with a fruit basket and a new private health care plan!

I've got a lunch break, I was trying to get a docs appointment then but they're all full up. I've done 3 pg tests and they all say negative but what if they're wrong. Maybe I should go have a quiet chat with my boss and see what she comes up with. I'm so scared tho. ooooo What a wimp I am

Coathanger · 18/10/2005 10:57

OH NOOOO!!! I'm sorry Babybloos forgot to say

congratultions hunni!!!! I'm sure all the pains are just a combo of bedding in and stretching. Nothing to worry about.

Coathanger · 18/10/2005 10:58

You need this sorted out regardless of who happens to be visiting work today. If you mention to your boss that it is either letting you go to GP today or you having to take time off work because you are too ill, I'm sure she'll make the right decision.

Coathanger · 18/10/2005 10:59

Did you get PG test result from your GP yet?

mumswish · 18/10/2005 11:01

I am meant to be dropping off my sample to be tested today but I was hoping to actually see someone as well. Then they can tell me the results there and then or soon as,

I'm off to have words with boss. Maybe if I take my lunch hour at a different time so that I can go docs during it it'll be ok.

Coathanger · 18/10/2005 11:05

Good luck Mums. Let us know how it goes

babybloos · 18/10/2005 11:06

thanks ch, i am feeling more positive now thank to all the support and experience.

mumswish that sounds a nightmare, what do you think you will do today. coathanger is right you do need to do something because the worry can make you feel a lot worse, let us know what you manage.

mumswish · 18/10/2005 11:09

well I cant get an appointment today anyway. I think I'll just take some painkillers and see how it goes. If I'm pg then so be it but with the amount of tests I've done I'm very unlikely to be anyway. I'll just drop this sample off and ask them to check for pg & infections and arrange an appointment with someone else another day while I'm there. Theres no point in worrying but I cant help it. You know?

Thanks girls and sorry for buggin you with this so much. Its prob nothing anyway,

babybloos · 18/10/2005 11:12

it is never a difficulty to listen and if we can be any help it is a bonus. i hope it works out ok today and more, good luck.

Diddle · 18/10/2005 11:42

Babybloos - i lost my last baby in April this year and my first in january this year.

Mygirllollipop - what a lovely reply, so nice to hear you were successful and now have your litle bundle of joy on your knee.

mumswish _ i would compromse with work and ask if you can have an extended lunch, then wait at the doctors for an appointment, i have done this before and you never have to wait long. they slot you in somewhere.

OP posts:
mumswish · 18/10/2005 11:47

well after the lovely answer I got when I asked if I could take my lunch hour at a different time so I could go to the docs, I'll just have to get an appointment a different day. I'm off on Friday again so I'll see if I can get one for then, or for my lunch break a different time, or after work. I'm not in the mood to have to listen to her on a power trip trying to show off her power in front of her boss. its just not worth it. I'll sort it another day. Thanks anyway diddle.

I'm gonna have to start my own business I think to be able to have a baby whilst working. I'm dreading actually becoming pg now and the kind of response I'm gonna get. "Sorry you cant have your baby today the md is in"

I'm gonna get loads of chocolate at lunch that should cheer me up I think
