Hi.. hope you all had a good weekend. I'm on CD15 but as I did not have a proper period i am really not sure. (All that pain for nothing)

My gp is going to refer me to the gynae for more tests etc but in the meantime dh and I will still be bding for the extra practice

jersey · 31/10/2005 08:43

Thanks rubles bit paraniod as I've read so many stories of people not ovulating after first preg and pill that I'm prob scaring myself too much!!!!

Did get egg white last week but then (sorry TMI here) been bding alot and that sort of masks my CM, so not sure.

Keeping fingers crossed xxxxx

PS DH thinks I've gone mad with all this talk of CM and temps etc... Have to do all my taking on here instead!

jersey · 31/10/2005 08:44

Keep going Micku5 at least you will give yourself the best chance!

rubles · 31/10/2005 09:21

I know what you mean, I am nervous of secondary infertility too...you think you have got over the worries of infertility when you have your first but no, secondary infertility raises its ugly head just to keep us on our toes and paranoid. I don't know what the incidence of it is, but it is probably rare (isn't it????)

I am not telling dp about any of my temping/CM checking/general ovulation obsession as I don't want to scare him. He is blissfully unaware of this madness in his midst.
I am not actually 'trying' yet, as we said we'd wait until November, but I got a bit impatient and have let one risky, sneaky bd occur this month, just to tempt fate and see what happens. I am soooo ready to be pregnant again.

jersey · 31/10/2005 09:27

I know what you mean Rubles as we only just started this cycle, but I wasn't overly careful for the last month or so!! Unfortunately I don't seem to get preg that quickly.

homemama · 31/10/2005 11:12

Sorry for my Fri night posting ladies. I was a little tipsy and it made me very emotional. It was hard not to just go for it but being in hospital sick over Christmas just isn't fair on DS.
I too am swamped with paranoia about secondary infertility as we caught first time with DS. I also suffered an early m/c (5wks) before DS and the night we caught then was the only night in 6yrs that we hadn't used contraception. So it seems I was relatively fertile before I fell pg. I just don't know why it isn't happening!

Hope everyone is well. Anyone testing soon?

hi homemama, we dont mind emotional posts we all know how it feels, im on cd 23 so wont be long till i can test, will prob wait another 2 weeks if i can help the excitement, done some bding but think it all happened a bit late what with the stress from dds birthday.

shes a little witch today (not that shes being naughty) just dressed up for halloween (shes only 1 poor cow, i love dressing her up!) she looks really cute, isnt best impressed with the hat tho! lol shes going trick or treating with her aunties and uncle today (15, 13, 11, 9, 7) so hopefully she'll have fun!

anyway will stop yapping on, hope everyone is in high spirits and we get some BFPs soon!

jane313 · 31/10/2005 18:51

could yo not try anyway homemama? My son at 2.4 is only just starting to be aware of xmas. He hadn't a clue at the first 2 and just got confused at all the presents. Will you definitely get that condition again?

andyrobo237 · 31/10/2005 20:59

Hi everyone - I am on day 7 and waiting for the weekend to start using my opk's again! DH is off this week so he should be lovely and rested!! I am also not telling him that I am checking the right time to BD and the like, as you know what men arelike! He thinks he is just getting it as and when, but we are using no contraception so it could happen and he is cool with that! Soft sod doesn't even know when AF's are - ignorance is bliss for him! My friends husband knows her cycle intimately and she is now pg and hopfully on her merry way! I need to catch up so we both have someone to gas to when on mat leave!!

andyrobo237 · 31/10/2005 21:00

BTW when do we have to have a new thread where August becomes september for babas! How many BFP's have we had - I can't remember !! Who is keeping tabs!

I think an egg is only supposed to last 24 hrs but the lh surge which the ov kits measure and the persona too I think it supposed to happen 24-48 or 36 hrs before ovulation. So it might be worth it.

I am due af today or tomorrow but I won't test as the disappointment was too much the month I did test. Have had lots of af pain for a long time (and until recently the only time I have ever had that before I was pregnant) but I had that a couple of months ago too so my body is being very cruel at the moment. (One month I felt sick, another time my breasts felt huge and another time I was late)

Should get results of my 2nd blood test and dh semen test too next week which may or may not help!

jersey · 01/11/2005 08:20

HI on cd14 still no sign of ovulation. Up in the night again with DS so that might be affecting it. My temps seem to alternate between 35.9 and 36.2, does anyone know what this might mean?

Before I got preg I was regular as clockwork before and after stopping the pill, and when temping for last 2 months before I fell preg I ovulated on days 12/13! Could it just be a hangover from the diff pill I was on this time?

Could do with some reassurance please. Thanks

jersey · 01/11/2005 08:21

Forgot to say did have twinges in my left side around pelvic area yesterday which I thought could be ovulation pain, but not sure as never had or noticed before!

Did think temp would have shown it today!

homemama · 01/11/2005 09:22

Thanks Stacey and Jane
Jane, unlike normal morning sickness, I've been told that with hyperemesis there's a 90% chance of having it again. I've even read that it can be worse second time round! I had it til 20wks last time but some women have it until they deliver!
Anyway, OV has passed so that's that. No trying next month either which I don't mind so much as I'd prefer Sept to August as being a teacher, I see what a difference it makes in Reception.

Artoo · 01/11/2005 10:54

Hi ladies

Just posting a quick update on me - DH and I went to see the doctor this morning to get my blood test results. Apparently a result of 30 or above indicates ovulation and the right amount of progesterone in your system. My result was 20.5, so a little on the low side. The doctor was great though, and said that whilst it was usual to take more blood in subsequent cycles to establish a pattern, he would refer me to the gynaecologist straight away. He's also sending DH for a sperm count to make sure everything is OK in that department too

I'm really pleased - this explains my short luteal phase, and gives us something we can work with. DH and I are off to Florida on Saturday, we'll have a nice relaxing holiday, and come back ready to start some serious work

I might even try some accupuncture...

Hugs,
Artoo.

jersey · 01/11/2005 10:57

Hi Artoo, can I ask where you temping and if so did this show that you may not be ovulating?

Reason for asking is I'm temping for first time this month and so far I don't appear to be ovualting and was wondering if you had this?

Good luck with the tests, glad everything is moving quickly for you.

successful · 01/11/2005 19:21

Hi girls - for those who remember - I'm back. Went away had a frozen embryo transfer and it failed two weeks ago. So back to the drawing board. Have now moved house and have decided to get a persona, so bought one last night from ebay for £6.50!!! (£10.45 with p&p)

Can't afford any more ivf treatment at the moment so while saving thought we would give this ago as supposed to be sub fertile so no reason why we can't concieve on our own

Hope all is ok, did recognise alot of old timers names - sorry it hasn't happen for you yet.

jane313 · 02/11/2005 08:14

sorry about that successful. I have friends who had to do ivf 2-3 times and it was heartbreaking to watch lets alone actually do. They made it in the end though

My af came last night. Annoying just as I got back from the pub having nursed half a lager shandy all evening. I wish it had come earlier then I would have drowned my sorrows. Even though I never feel at all lucky and that it will be my turn this month I am still absolutely devestated and only slept about 4 hours last night.

jersey · 02/11/2005 08:19

Sorry Jane about AF, even though we are not expecting to conceive this month as first one TTC I know that when AF arrives I will still be upset! I was every month when TTC last time!!

Fingers crossed for next month xxxxx Try to keep positive, I've read that it can help.

Hi girls, sorry about AF Jane. Sorry about your news too Successful.
Jersey, it only takes once, so you never know.
Artoo, information is power and all that. At least now you've got something to work on.
Normsnockers, the sickness is horrific isn't it. I'd have rather gone through labour every day than be that sick. It was so lonesome too. Felt so isolated even though DH was fab. Worried how to look after DS when (if) I catch again. Oh well! Nothing like a happy start to the day!
