Well I think after all our chatting its about time we had a new thread, as the previous one was very lucky for us, lets hope this one remains just as lucky.

Remember ladies - Our time will come, but our bodies have to be ready, and we are all here to support each other.

For those new people please feel free to check out our Stats thread, to see some info about us and leave you details if you want to.

GOOD LUCK!!!!

The mouse was cute.

Shouldnt metion the "ring of fire" incident in front of HellKat. Reminds her of a song and she cant get it back out of her head.

Thanks for the mention of age. I dont think I'm too young, lots of friends and family do but I dont care. I want a bean now so [stick tongue out emoticon]

Hope you enjoy it here as much as I do.

Diddle · 07/10/2005 11:47

my mouse wasn't cute think we've caught another. but we've bought a new gadget that sends of high frequency sound waves which they run away from, much more humane than peanut butter on a trap

OP posts:
mumswish · 07/10/2005 12:03

Yeh just a little more humane!

I'm off for lunch now see you in an hour girls!

carly82 · 07/10/2005 13:06

hi girls
just have to apologise first cos i need a good moan
my last af started on the 14th (roughly) of september abd i havent stopped bleeding for more than a day, its not incredibly heavy but enough to put hold on any bding this month! sorry if tmi for a friday lunchtime!
my poor dp doesnt know whats going on as i have horrendous pmt (which i dont normally suffer from!) i went to see my gp who suggested that i go on the pill to see if i could regulate my cycle! HELLO????? which bit of im trying for a baby did he not understand?? and to top evertyhing off ive run out of chocolate AARRGHHHH!!!!!!!
anyway sorry for moaning but i feel loads better now

mumswish · 07/10/2005 13:15

Carly, I'm sorry to hear your having such a rough time of it. Is that all your gp had to say? did you explain that you were trying for a baby? could it be an infection? I really dont know what else to say. Maybe you could try a different Gp? Female one?

Diddle · 07/10/2005 13:18

carly - was just thinking at the beginning of the week that we hadn't heard from you. Sounds liek you're having a rough time of it, and i'm nt sure whats worse, bleeding or no chocolate
you know we're always here to listen to you. what a stupid suggestion to go on the pill, although it may regulate your cycles, duh it won't help ttc will it, stupid doc. so did he give you any alternatives??

OP posts:
carly82 · 07/10/2005 13:24

hi MW!
well i told my gp that me and dp are trying for a baby and he said that this doesnt seem like an infection as there are no other symptoms other than constant bleeding, maybe i should try the pill for a few months to make my cycles regular. but im scared that if i do this not only can i not get pg for three months then i got wait for it to leave my system which could take another few months!!! sometimes i just think its not meant to be i mean im happy with what i have as my boys are my world but am i really being selfish wanting just one more?

mumswish · 07/10/2005 13:27

Carly,

I've just come off the pill after nearly 2 years of taking it and my gp has said go for it as soon as I want. Get 3 months supply and at the end of each month decide if you want to try there and then or if you want to go another month.

The only thing that really slows you down is the injection. Dont do that!

carly82 · 07/10/2005 13:28

hi diddle!
no he didnt give me any other advice apart from that and the old "you still have plenty of time" which i know is true, doesnt help though
on a plus side i found some choc admittidley it belongs to my ds but im being a good mummy taking it cos too much choc is bad for their teeth

carly82 · 07/10/2005 13:33

MW - thanks for that. i might just wait to see if this bleeding stops, set myself a time say if im still bleeding in a weeks time try it for a month and see how it goes, maybe my body will sort itself out by then .
i wouldnt fancy the injection personally dont like the idea of having a needle up my bum every three months

MYGIRL- thanks for your msg
they did offer me a smear as mine is due next month anyway, but he said it was unlikely to be an infection and if im honest i find the whole experience uncomfortable enough anyway without bleeding too EEEUURRGHH!!!! sorry ladies tmi again luckily my dp is really good about the "mess" and will comply with my demands when i want (usually straight after a bath for obvious reasons ) but hey he is a man

Hello all, wanted to join this thread for some ttc support afer a m/c in June 2005. I have a DD who is 18 months who keeps me very busy but I think I will always feel something ismissing until we have a new baby.

TTC is very frustrating and I am currently on day 17 and am using persona. I haven't had the ovulation sign yet so guess all is still to play for!!

It took about 6 months to conceive DD and this last time we fell pregnant first time. Baby was due in January 06-I really want to be past 12 weeks by the time that date comes!

Hiya bojangles,

Sorry to hear about your loss. I hope your feeling ok. Nice to hear from you. Take as much as you want from this thread we've all been through it and these girls are the nicest people I've ever spoken to so I'm sure you'll fit in just fine!

Coathanger · 07/10/2005 14:15

Howdie Bojangles! Love the name! Welcome to our lovely thread. I hope you have a good thime here. As i said to Mygirl, feel free to scream, cry, rant, sout, laugh and talk as much as you ned to. We are all here to help each other and support one another.

Does anyone think those persona things actually work? I've had 2 friends who have had mishaps with them - one fell PG when it gave her a green day, and another friends got green days loads and tried for ever to get PG! Wierd things!

bojangles · 07/10/2005 14:19

thanks for the welcome! I am hoping that persona works for us in reverse - wouldn't rely on it as contraception but like the whole idea of weeing on a stick in the morning and a digital gadget giving me information - makes me feel a bit in control! Figured it looks for the LH surge the same as the ovulations sticks but thought it would work out cheaper in the long run to have this.

CH- lol at the image of that little mouse dancing away
BOJANGLES- Welcome and sorry for your loss but like me you will find this thread an absolute godsend, there are days when i feel like giving up and then i read through and realise im not the only one feeling like it and that thought alone makes me keep my chin up and keep trying i wish you lots of luck that goes to everyone else aswell looking forward to some BFP this weekend

bojangles · 07/10/2005 14:35

Mygirl, didn't realise that LH levels could vary from person to person - guess it makes sense though. I'm not relying on persona to tell me I'm ovulating but it hepls me get through each day and feels like I'm doing something productive. I guess the only way to know for sure that you have ovulated is to have the blood tests? We are still sticking to the every 2-3 days and trying to have some romance!! Hard with an 18 month old around!!

maddyd · 07/10/2005 14:38

Wow while ive been furiously working away you lot have been nattering.

Diddle how you diddling, not long now I hope lottie has been as good as you
