Well I think after all our chatting its about time we had a new thread, as the previous one was very lucky for us, lets hope this one remains just as lucky.

Remember ladies - Our time will come, but our bodies have to be ready, and we are all here to support each other.

For those new people please feel free to check out our Stats thread, to see some info about us and leave you details if you want to.

GOOD LUCK!!!!

i used to take those. But they made me really depressed so i changed to another one, forgot the name and i took it all the time no breaks. Well how can fertility friend say that you are OV when you have put in the box that you are bleeding? thats weird, plus when taking the pill you are regular, because in the week off you bleed. how strange

OP posts:
mumswish · 03/10/2005 16:20

It could be to do with a couple of months ago having a wierd session cos I forgot to take my pill for a couple of days so I had 2 bleeds that month.

They dont have a place for you to put contraception pill in. So I'll have to make do!

Diddle · 03/10/2005 16:22

no they don't do they, maybe they should, but it is for people who are trying to conceive so its not the obvious thing to put on it. That would explain it. Hopefully once the pill has left your system you will start to regulate, hope so.

OP posts:
mumswish · 03/10/2005 16:27

I've been bored out of my mind. WHich is why I've been able to fill in 3 months worth of fertility friend stuff () I'm going home soon tho cos I've got docs at 4.50 and have to drive for 10 mins to get there. I'm so looking forward to going home.

BTW, Full works with AF now. No missing whats happening now!!

i have crazily decided to go and do my final year at uni. i am woreied about it and if i am pg this month i will have to give it up as soon as i started. but am sure i am not as have no symptoms. i am still testing on the 8th though to make sure - although may well have to do 7th as 8th is saturday and id rather test without dp there- i don't want to get his hopes up for nothing.

HellKat · 03/10/2005 17:08

Did you hear about poor Nell Mcandrew? You know the model/presenter. Poor love had to have a termination due to severe abnormalities.

Diddle · 03/10/2005 17:12

no haven't heard anything about nell mcandrew, poor woman, that must be terrible.

slinkstah - oooo i hope you're lucky this week. isn't it a bit early to test on friday or saturday? how long are your cycles normally?

OP posts:
maddyd · 03/10/2005 17:15

Afternoon everyone sorry not been in reporting earlier but been at a friends this afternoon trying to take my mind off it all.

The news is they wouldnt scan because im only 5+5 and need to be over 6 weeks for them to detect a heart beat so either way i would have to go back.

The second is that thier pg test came up negative. Total but it was a very weak wee as was told didnt need a full bladder and i drink loads of water. Just done another test after holding wee for nearly three hours and there is a very faint posotive but very faint so either way i would say my hormone levels are dropping as my posotiives before were strong.

Thats the negative news.

On a posotive note my bleeding has nearly stopped and apparentley my cervix is closed.

I have had a blood test to check my hormone levels and if around 8,000 they then repeat in 48hrs and then scan next week if they go up. I have to phone the epu at 7pm for results.

So basically im left not knowing what to think.

(just gonna copy this for the pg after miscarriage thread as to tired to type again)

slinkstah · 03/10/2005 17:17

thats awful about nell mcandrew, i had a friend who had a termination for abnormalities aparently the baby had an extra chromasome or something- it was all a nightmare for her.

diddle- it is a bit early to test about 4 or 5 days before af due, but the test i have got is a early one.

Coathanger · 03/10/2005 17:19

Maddyd - i'm so sorry you don't know yet either way. I think you should keep positive - like you say its a good sign that you have stopped bleeding and your cervix is closed. Maybe all is okay after all Keep yer legs crossed Hun! lots of love hunni {{{{XXX}}}}

slinkstah · 03/10/2005 17:20

maddyd- maybe your strong positives were done in the morning so wee stronger - that would explain why they are faint when you do them in afternoon.
well blood tests will show whats going on so fingers crossed all ok at 7pm

Diddle · 03/10/2005 17:22

i agree with coathanger, it aint over till the fat lady sings I was worried that they might not be able to do anything but at least they have. Very good that your cervix is closed, if you were losing ti would be open, so thats a good sign. everything crossed for you hun, stay positive.

OP posts:
slinkstah · 03/10/2005 17:24

there is a chart on this website showing what hgc levels should be for how many weeks pg. you can compare when you get your blood results later at least you might get some idea whether you have normal levels or not.
www.advancedfertility.com/earlypre.htm

HellKat · 03/10/2005 17:26

Maddy- Poor you hun! Well fingers, legs, arms everything crossed. Thank goodness the bleeding's eased and your cevix is closed.

maddyd · 03/10/2005 17:33

I know that is good but i feel so negative as thier tests are really sensitive.

Thaks for the chart slinkash but i dont really understand this hormone level thing. What am i looking for, the doc says needs to be aroung 8,000

Coathanger · 03/10/2005 17:37

Maddyd - did the hospital use one of those little square tests? I was given a test by a Sexual Health Nurse that i know andit was one of the ones they use in hosp and I got a neg. But on the same day a first response gave me a positive

maddyd · 03/10/2005 17:39

Yes it was coathanger. I just checked my test again and its a clear blue one and its a definate posotive although faint. Im def not seeing things

Coathanger · 03/10/2005 17:40

I think its a myth that the hospital test are more sensitive

peepee · 03/10/2005 17:42

Maddyd,

I have jsut come back from my Gp who did a p/g test and that too was negative. Mine was positive yesterday morning. He said it could b cos my urine is diluted as it is quite late in the day. I have been peeing loads today.
I have to do another urine sample first thing in the morning and take it to him.Aparently HCG levels are at their highest first thing in the morning. If it is negative again he is going to do bloods to check my HCG levels. If it is positive i will have to go straight to the clinic. Not to the EPU though just to recurrent m/c clinic as b 4.
Try and think positive until u r told for sure.
