Well I think after all our chatting its about time we had a new thread, as the previous one was very lucky for us, lets hope this one remains just as lucky.

Remember ladies - Our time will come, but our bodies have to be ready, and we are all here to support each other.

For those new people please feel free to check out our Stats thread, to see some info about us and leave you details if you want to.

GOOD LUCK!!!!

Maddyd,

Are you there?

Thinking off you.

peepee · 03/10/2005 14:43

I have my doctors appointment at 5pm. Am quite nervous. I hope he doesn't have a go for starting to take my heparin without consulting anyone.
How is everyone else today? Has anyone heard from Maddyd?

Diddle · 03/10/2005 14:46

i remember having 20 tests in the cupboard and i used to spend a fortune on them, but not anymore, if i buy them i use them even if i;m nto de to test, they are too addictive

coathanger - you still on here, sorry have been really busy today not sure why.

OP posts:
Diddle · 03/10/2005 14:46

no news yet peepee, how are you feeling?

OP posts:
mumswish · 03/10/2005 14:46

My body just being mean. I think i've got a cold coming so that might explain the tiredness and the sick feeling (keep sniffing) Didnt know about the peeing thing I havent peed all day (since this morning) so I'm sure it was strong. Never mind! If its something I'll know in a week when I not got af

I'm sure Maddyd is fine. I hope she is anyway.

peepee · 03/10/2005 14:54

Hiya,

I am feeling fine. Just a bit nervous about the appointment. This is gonna sound stupid, but I feel sort of embarassed about telling GP that I may be p/g again. God nows what he thinks. He probably thinks we are it all the time.
I felt like a naughty little girl when I first went to the recuurent m/c clinic and the the consultant asked if we had had unprotected sex. It all felt a bit too personal. I wanted to say NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS.. and so what, we are married. How stupid..
Never mind, i will get on with because I have too.

Diddle i was just like u with the tests. I have now made a point of only having a pack of two in the cupboard. I did go and buy some of the cheap ones but when they showed positive I couldn't bring myself to trust them and bought Clearblue to test again. Mad......

Diddle · 03/10/2005 14:55

that would explain the achiness and poss sick feeling, colds do that to me, and there are plenty of bugs going round at the moment. Sounds like your wee was strong enough then if you haven't been all day. we'll have to see what happens, still early days, and your pill may have a lot to do with everything.

OP posts:
mumswish · 03/10/2005 14:56

PeePee - Sod what the docs think. Youre old enough to sort out your own life. And if you're trying it's not like your a silly girl who forgot to use a condom this time. Do they know youre trying?

Diddle · 03/10/2005 14:57

peepee - i think its totally normal to feel the way you do, i would be the same, answering such personal questions, but to be honest you shouldn't be worried about telling them you may be pg, because its a good thing.
Hope you don't mind me asking but how many m/c have you had in a row? and where is the recurrent clinic, not sure we even have one by me.

OP posts:
Prettybird · 03/10/2005 14:57

Quick note to say that dh seems much - I wouldn't say "happier" - more "comfortable" about my pregnancy We've had some chats about money and options etc - and still need to have some more. Have realsied that if this goes to term, then he porbably wouldn't be able to sit his Master of Wine exams next June - as they are in London and at exactly the same time as I owuld be due!

He has complained though that my cutting back on my alchol intake is going to casue him problmes with practicing his wine tasting - he doesn't want to have to drink all that wine on his own!

Still don't feel pregnant though!

mumswish · 03/10/2005 14:58

I'm just looking forward to going home tonight and telling him we have to jump on the good foot. I'm pretty sure its over this time anyway as just went p (again. It never rains but it pours) and its a little red this time so maybe my bits have finished clearing out and now we're having the af to get rid of the last bit.

mumswish · 03/10/2005 15:01

oh PB-Thats brilliant. I'm so glad you're sorted out. I wouldnt worry about his exams as kids are never ontime. (i was always grounded for being late & I was born 2 weeks overdue anyway)

peepee · 03/10/2005 15:05

I have had 5 m/c in a row. NO viable pregnancies at all. The clinic I go to is at Queen Charlottes in W.London. It's not asif they do anything special there. They did the blood tests for me and DH. They didn't find anything wrong apart from me having slightly sticky blood. That's why I am on Heparin and baby aspirin. I was attending every week for scans and that's it. Nothing special was done. I don't think there is anything more they can do.

Prettybird · 03/10/2005 15:05

mumswish.

I'm due on the 4th and dh's exams are on the 8th, in London (we're in Glasgow) .... so he may or may not be able to get to them! Suspect that if he does, he'll have to pay a fortune in airfares, as he won't be able to book well in advacne

mumswish · 03/10/2005 15:09

Sounds good enough for him. Tell him to sit in the cockpit (no-one will notice him)

I thought last minute flights were cheaper? www.lastminute.com ?

HellKat · 03/10/2005 15:17

Hiya all.
Mailed Maddy. Not heard anything yet. Ohhhhhhh I'm really hoping no news is good news.

Prettybird · 03/10/2005 15:33

If you need to fly on particular flights, then the cheap flights go quickly. Glasgow - London is a popular communter route, so tends to get booked up early.

Easyjet for example is £12.99 per leg plus taxes if yuo book in advacne - but can be well over £100 if you book close to the date (ie well over £200 return! )

mumswish · 03/10/2005 15:35

O crap thats a hell a lot of money. You'll just have to keep your legs closed. Or eat really hot curries and do it like rabbits a couple of weeks before!

Diddle · 03/10/2005 15:42

prettybird - glad to hear your DH has come roudn tot he idea, i guess it is understandable for him to worry, at least now you can enjoy your pregnancy, if he can't sit the exams can he retake them at any time?

HK - hope maddyd is ok, and i agree hopefully no news is good news, she must be celebrating

OP posts:
Diddle · 03/10/2005 15:43

good luck tonight peepee, hope all goes well later. didn't realise it was as many as 5 miscarriages, so sorry. Maybe the only problem was the sticjy blood, i hae heard of people with the same and are on the same drugs as you and they have gone on to have healthy babies, so everything is crossed for you.

OP posts:
Diddle · 03/10/2005 15:48

prettybird couldn't he book the flight early in the hope and just pay the cheap amount and possibly lose that, rather than paying a fortune.

OP posts:
Coathanger · 03/10/2005 15:56

Peepee - good luck at the doctors tonight. I hope they treat you well.

Prettybird - I'm glad to hear your DH is coming round to the idea. It's such a horrible time isn't it? You want to jump with joy and be happy but yu just can't because of what DH thinks - I've been there and it was the worst feeling in the world. Anyway, I hope things continue to look up for you XX

Diddle - I'm always here, you know that now! Had to do school run and a few things so have been on and off today.

HK - as soon as you hear from Maddyd, let us know. I just hope its a case of no news is good news.

maddyd - where ever you are, I hope all is okay, Hunni XXX

mumswish · 03/10/2005 16:02

Just added my details to fertility friend to get an idea of when ov etc. According to the data I've put in from the past few months. I'm oving at the same time as bleeding. That cant be good surely?

Diddle · 03/10/2005 16:11

doesn't sound right mumswish, that has confused me. Have you been on a pill where you have a break for a period then start again?

OP posts:
mumswish · 03/10/2005 16:12
