I put August as its a little late for July!

I'm TTC number 4(!)

Due to test on the 15th August but don't think we have much chance this month as its only our first and DH has been ill for a few days and now I've got the bug, so not much romance happening!

So just wonderded if anyone is just starting TTC and wanted to join me?

Hi all. Afraid I don't know about the short AF either. bump in case someone does...

I'm on the 2/3ww. Symptom spotting like mad. I had queasiness and bad cramps yesterday morning and the day before. None today. I was BFing DS last night and boobs were v tender. But on day 27 of cycle (usually 35 days) so can't work out if it's exciting or PMT. Can't test until next week. V twitchy... Someone distract me. Quick. Please?

I think it can just happen after coming off the pill some times! It likes to screw us around. My nurse said to expect the unexpected for the first 3 months x

well i am off to chatsworth show for the weekend, i have been that busy that i dont even know what day of my cyle i am on. its in my diary but i am too shattered when i fall into bed to remember to look

Hello, can I join you? I'm new here and my first ever 2ww is killing me. I have long cycle, not always same length, but even based on longest cycle AF should be due tomorrow and am not getting any hint of it arriving. Have had major wet cm for past 3 days (sorry if TMI), which is a new thing for me, but no other symptoms so no idea what's going on. Did test (even though its too early as am only 10 dpo) but got BFN. Can't stand the waiting and we've only just started ttc! Help :)

welcome purplehippo I hate waiting too! I am only 5DPO and I have also been having (TMI alert) lots of CM that is unusual for 2 days. Does anyone know if thats a symptom?? :o
I will be testing in 7 days... seems a long ways off. Anyone else testing soon?

Thanks everyone for comments, the saliva test thing is like this mini microscope apparently your saliva makes a distinctive pattern when viewed through a microscope when you ovulate. Will let you know how I get on. I have had stinking head cold for last week so am hoping that it's all cleared up and I'll be healthy for the rest of the month. Goldmaple I read that lots of CM is a symptom :) in fact I got all excited but then also read that lots of CM is typical in lead up to period :( I'm off on hols toward the end of the month, round about testing time... going to be so hard knowing whether to drink or not, not knowing?!

Been a while since I've been on here....but in the days leading up to Ovulation I am back here searching support from those who understand - feel better already!!

OV due early next week.....other half on a stag weekend so not hopeful for this month after his weekend of bodily abuse...but that won't stop me trying

Good luck to all of you waiting to test or ovulating soon.....and so the 2WW approaches.......{hmm}

Ok maybe TMI but got to ask as there has been some CM mentioned?

Because are we talking more than a slither or could fill an egg cup?

The saliver thing sounds interesting but I am trying to be a 'just shagger' and that sounds very scientific also not sure how I would explain a new miroscope in the house

I think being a 'just shagger' is probably the best and least stressful option and probably has the same overall effect as all the gadgets and measurements! :-)

I came off the depo injection in March and only had a period last month so have activly been trying all month but no luck i think. I was due on again today but no sign so did test and negative so will have to wait and see what happens. xx

cowboylover about CM... (TMI alert) def not an egg cup full, for me at least, but more than even during OV (except its not EW). Its just more than I'm used to... but it has tapered down a bit now at 8DPO

I think just shagging is the way to go but I temp (and can't give it up) so I know when I'm fertile. Is there a + with the saliva checker petitech? or does it give 'high, peak, etc...'

i have got visions of people now trying to gather all their CM to see if it fills an egg cup nice way to ease myself back into the thread dont you think!

i still have abit of CM so dont really know when i ovulated, although the sodding stupid bloody tests are still negative. dont feeling it for this month tho

hi all, has anyone else had issues with their monthly cycle and conceiving once you have come of the Depo Contraceptive Injection. I came off it in March, first bleed was last month and nothing since, driving me mad!! x

Thanks all as it was the first time I had it and was LOADS! Like im sure I could have filled a few cups; now that is weird!

I am now on my usual AF day and nothing yet besides huge hunger cravings so when do I test if nothing happens? I need someone to tell me to or not and then wont want to let them down!

....hehe you made me laugh on a Monday lovely ladies, I literally have visions of people balancing over egg cups hehe!
To answer the saliva testing question it doesn't give you a yes or no it's a pattern that you view... you basically put some saliva on this lens, it's small, the size of a lipstick, then if you're ovulating the saliva forms 'fern' like patterns... have only used it for a week adn not close to ovulating yet so not sure if it works... will keep you posted. Boiled egg and soldiers for tea anyone hehe!

I was on Depo too, last injection was in November and I still haven't had a period, but apparently it can take up to a year to wear off, so not going to bother the doctor for a couple more months, fingers crossed things are quicker for you!!!

Hope everyone had a good weekend, we went to Dundee Flower and Food, the Hairy Bikers were there so DH had a grand time watching them whilst I sat outside and enjoyed the sunshine and the people watching!!!

Thanks BabsH, I have never had any problems in having periods after coming off depo before, have had one always the month after. It is just so bloody unfair that once we make such a big decision to TTC we have to wait for my body to start ovulating.xxxx

cowboylover I think that you get a pretty accurate result if you POAS on or after the day AF is due... So you can go for it:)

But there is the chance of having a chemical pregnancy where the egg is fertilized but doesn't implant (apparently 80% of fertilizations don't implant so it is normal but very disappointing:() but i don't know how early that happens (maybe the risk is over by the time AF is due?? does anyone know?)

I want to wait and see if my temp stays up for 18 days... but if my internet cheapies ever get here then I might test on saturday (two days before AF). Anyone else testing then?

Well I did a test and a BFN from me but as I have only just got used to my cycles it may be just that so will wait now til Saturday and see what happens if AF doesnt come.

cowboylover, I had thought BFN and was three days late, then AF lasted 2days, v bizarre. That said if you were due on on Monday then by Saturday you would be pretty late. With my only 3 days I decided that it's probably just cos I assumed 28 cycle and perhaps it's actually 31 days, has been so long since I've been on pill, forgotten what a normal cycle would be like

Ont he bright side, in another thread someone said 'egg cups' full of CM is a symptom (exact wording has been changed to better suit August-TTCers )

petitech after I went off the pill my cycles were 28, 36, 37, 30, 30. Temp really helped during the second long cycle because of course I thought I was pregnant for the first long one even thought we didn't SWI at the right time!!:)

Im still feeling good about it and was expecting to be devistated but im doing ok.

[goldmaple] do you mind me asking what pill you were on? I was on mini pill which in theory sorts itself out pretty quickly but we'll see...am going to try with my saliva test thingie this month and see how I get on... isn't this glamorous between spitting and peeing on things hehe!

do you have to buy special things to do this saliva test? r can you just lick the window and not clean it for abit see how it looks in a few hours?
