Hiya,

I put August as its a little late for July!

I'm TTC number 4(!)

Due to test on the 15th August but don't think we have much chance this month as its only our first and DH has been ill for a few days and now I've got the bug, so not much romance happening!

So just wonderded if anyone is just starting TTC and wanted to join me?

Had a lovely weekend. Been to the beach a few times to clear us all out which has been lovely.

BIL been here, and still here til Weds so has been nice to 'take my mind off things'!!

Although, hubby and I just took dog for walk through forest out the back of our house and I almost jumped his bones!!!

Can't stop me thinking about it all completely :o

Had sticky CM yesterday, sorry if TMI, not sure what that is about, not had any CM since coming off the pill end of August, but sure just ovulated a few days ago so may be to do with that.

Hope you're all OK x

gruffalomama i ahve taken my temperature 5 times and its been 35-36 every time. nearly right off the bottom of the chart, its not making much sense, but i am sure it will once i get into it. dh thinks i am obsessing about it what with taking temps and everything, but to be honest i feel less stressed out about it as i feel more in control. i am not stressing about it, as i know more about how my body works and how the cycles are. tiem will tell anywaySmile

glad you all had nice weekends

MadKatz · 26/10/2010 09:08

Hi Mama, my weekend was great thanks, didnt do much but went walking on Sunday which was nice in such lovely sunshine.

Liz I know what you mean about feeling more in control when you are temping and things, I feel the same.

Really wasn't convinced when I looked at FF on Friday: I'd only just stopped bleeding on Thursday and it said best days were M-F this week - I never normally have that short a pre-ovulatory phase. However, EWCM last night at about 9pm and with DH away now until Thursday night.....needless to say we didn't get much sleep last night Blush

lizandlulu · 26/10/2010 22:48

wow madkatz hope you hit the right spotGrin does that mean that you have ovulated already and have got to wait extra long for the next expected (or not!) AF?

KLou111 · 26/10/2010 22:56

ooooo you little minx!!! Shock GOOD GIRL!

Been trying to quietly bonk these last few days with BIL being here as apparently was my most fertile time, typical!

MadKatz · 27/10/2010 09:12

Morning All,

Not sure Liz what to believe now. Am on FF which seems pretty accurate this cycle so far but I still don't understand how it works it all out when my cycles are never the same length, my temps are all over the place, etc. Which is why I am watching my CM carefully and also the saliva microscope. FF always gives you a 5 day time period as the best days (so does the saliva monitor) but I keep reading that there really are only about 2-3 days when its the best time. FF predicts my next AF as 13th November - I'm not normally superstitious... but the 13th!!!!

Ooh KLou bet thats not been easy. Before we were TTC DH and I always tried to refrain when we had visitors but on the odd occasion when we couldn't help ourselves its not easy to do (neither of us are quiet in the bedroom - sorry if thats TMI)!!! We haven't had that scenario (yet) since we've been trying but we have got people staying over Christmas if it comes to that Blush

GruffaloMama · 27/10/2010 21:42

Hi all

Madkatz - well done for seizing the moment! Wink

I think I'm about to get fertile... so time to get jiggy... and no visitors to inhibit. (Just a toddler!) Good luck all!

MadKatz · 27/10/2010 22:01

Hubbies coming home tomorrow Grin

lizandlulu · 28/10/2010 09:27

morning ladies, just looked in my diary and i am on day 17 of my cycle. i am fairly confident we have had enough sex over my fertile period, so hopefull it will all have found its way to the right place.

now i need a ask a tim question! after having sex, do you lie back and let it sink in, or wait and wipe?Blush sorry but i need to know what other people do! i usually wait 15 minutes then go to the loo and wipe as i cant stand to feel so sticky!

on a positive note, i have had a slightly higher temperature yesterday and today, still not looking any cleared thoughSmile

lizandlulu · 28/10/2010 09:27

thats clearer! not cleared

MadKatz · 28/10/2010 11:39

Hi liz.

I lie back and time half an hour with a fairly flat cushion/pillow under my bum. I read that you should raise your hips and bum slightly (but not too much) to get the flow right. And relax. I normally cuddle with DH, read or listen to music and have nodded off in this position in the past. And I've found I don't feel as sticky after so it must be working. Then I go to the loo but I don't wipe as much as I normally would and put a towel under me for the rest of the night if I still feel sticky.

I agree that it is is TMI but if we dont share hints and tips, whats MN for? Wink

Fingers crossed for you this cycle.

lizandlulu · 28/10/2010 13:47

i used to put a pillow unber my bum, but then i read that sperm swims upwards, so effectivly would be swimming the wrong way, but you read that many things you dont know whats right

lizandlulu · 28/10/2010 13:48

god my spelling is rubbish todayGrin

MadKatz · 28/10/2010 14:43

I know what you mean about reading too much. I just keep thinking that although sperm swim upwards, gravity can still take its course, so I've continued using a pillow to help them along!

KLou111 · 28/10/2010 15:36

Just shag and enjoy it for gods sake!!!!! Grin

(Hears the girls saying 'well you can talk.....')

Aren't we all a bit mad. Like someone else said on here or another thread, those on TV in the 3rd world don't seem to have a problem, and I bet they don't put a pillow under their arse's (be-atch's) :)

lizandlulu · 28/10/2010 16:00

i know. a bloke at work only has to look at his wife and shes pregnant. takes literally weeks for her to get pregnantSad

KLou111 · 28/10/2010 16:06

cow!!

MadKatz · 28/10/2010 16:21

pmsl KLou - never thought about that

GruffaloMama · 29/10/2010 16:56

Hiya all - any plans for the weekend? Nothing on for us but shagging. Lots of saliva ferning this morning and EWCM. BD last night and going to pounce on DH again tonight! He won't know what's hit him. Grin

On the pillow/wipe dilemma... Have been trying not to worry about it too much - though have deliberately NOT been leaping up immediately/having a shower straight afterwards.

Liz - god it really is frustrating hearing people bemoaning their fertility - someone at work usually follows it up with stories about how easy she finds childbirth. If this baby takes as long to get as our first I might just ask her to act as a surrogate just to shut her up. (DS was a four-day induction and forceps job - worth every bit of it but it was not exactly easy!)

KLou111 · 29/10/2010 18:49

I've got Take That tickets, I've got Take That tickets!!!!

Can't wait, although hubby and I just worked out that if I have caught this month I'll be 8 months preggars in the middle of summer. Oh well, sooooooooooo worth it!!! Been trying all day!!

lizandlulu · 29/10/2010 22:48

KLou111 · 30/10/2010 10:14

You lucky thing!!!! Have you ever been?? We went 6 years ago for hubbys 30th, had the BEST time ever. Try and do a dinner cruise with World Yachts. Was about £50 each but had 3 hours on the boat sailing around the edge of NYC and was fab!!!

Did you see any ghosts??

GruffaloMama · 30/10/2010 10:52

Congrats on the tickets Klou - v jealous!!!
liz am also on the 2ww now. Nothing so glam as going to new york to distract me... hope you have a fantastic time.

Madkatz how is your 2ww going?
