Hiya,

I put August as its a little late for July!

I'm TTC number 4(!)

Due to test on the 15th August but don't think we have much chance this month as its only our first and DH has been ill for a few days and now I've got the bug, so not much romance happening!

So just wonderded if anyone is just starting TTC and wanted to join me?

BabsH · 21/10/2010 06:29

I'm still here, probably will be for a while too

MadKatz · 21/10/2010 08:52

I will be here for a bit too

lizandlulu · 21/10/2010 10:15

good nice to know i am not on my ownSmile i remembered to start taking my temperature this morning, have been meaning to do it for a few days and never done it, so this morning i remembered and went to mark it on the chart and the temperature is lower than the ones pre marked on the chart, not quite sure what to do about itConfused

MadKatz · 21/10/2010 11:18

I wouldnt worry too much liz, mine were all over the place last cycle. The trick is not to look at individual days but to look at the chart as a whole and see the gradual transition from low to high. I found temping on its own didnt tell me when I was going to ovulate, but with watching my CM and saliva ferning it generally all adds up to those few days in the month

KLou111 · 21/10/2010 12:02

yey, you're back :)

Well, thinking of doing a test tomorrow morning.

Haven't got a clue when I'm supposed to, my CD1 was 5th October, my 1st proper AF since off the pill (and in the last 13 years!!)

Don't feel any different to normal, but there is NO WAY that there was no sperm in there when it was supposed to be Grin

MadKatz · 21/10/2010 15:24

lol

lizandlulu · 21/10/2010 15:39

ohh klou11 think you might be abit ambitious there. just been looking at my calender and it wasnt that long ago was it. wouldnt want you to get your hopes up (or wste any tests!)

MadKatz · 21/10/2010 16:07

OK, so any advice on this would be good. I know this might be TMI but interested in all your views. Since starting to bleed on Sunday, its just been ongoing and still happening now. Never a full tampon but not spotting either. My periods are normally 2 days heavy, 1 or 2 days light then stop.

Any ideas? Confused

KLou111 · 21/10/2010 18:07

Sorry madkatz I'm totally useless at bleeding points of view. When you say not a tampon full, isn't that perhaps just your light days? Maybe just seen how it is tomorrow as you may be coming off.

lizandlulu when should I test? As I said, I have no clue how long I should wait. I assume nearer when I'm due on perhaps? What is the 2 week wait? Is that 2 weeks after you should have come on? GOD I'M USELESS AT ALL THIS!!! Blush

GruffaloMama · 21/10/2010 19:27

hi all - think I'll be here for a while yet too! Work crazy - too busy even for MN...

Madkatz so sorry about the chemical pregnancy - big hugs. I hope the bleeding's sorted out now. I'm convinced I had a chemical preg cycle before last. Too many pg symptoms for even me to imagine them all ( you can't imagine constipation - surely...) My AF afterwards did last longer and was a couple of days early, though not especially heavy.

Klou I reckon the two week wait is from the day after you ovulate (which iirc is usually between 10 to 16 days before your AF is due). Some of the early tests can work a few days before your AF is due but I've heard that they can be a bit unreliable - I think the hormone levels sometimes aren't high enough so you get a false negative. But those little spermy could be doing their thang! The wait to test is vile.

Hi Liz - welcome to temping!!! If your standard temps are lower than the chart you can just move them all by a whole degree, iyswim? So pretend that 35.4 is 36.4 - as long as you're consistent I don't think it matters. I'm doing it on the TCOYF website - you can plot online and it works out when you ovulated etc.

KLou111 · 21/10/2010 19:33

Looks like I'll be waiting a couple of weeks then :(

Had right-side-of-belly cramping tonight, I read that could be ovulation??? Am on day 17 of cycle so surely this is a bit late?
God, am looking for every single sign, this is driving me insane Confused

GruffaloMama · 21/10/2010 20:44

Might be - depends on your normal cycle length - or it could be implantation cramping... Keeping my fingers crossed for you. The 2ww really is bloody horrible. There ought to be some way of snoozing through it. I'm working my way up to ov week - prob next week and then I'll be right there with you...

KLou111 · 21/10/2010 20:53

my 1st cycle after withdrawal was 35 days so day 17 ovulation would be 18 days prior to AF. That is if my 2nd cycle is the same.
I agree with the snoozing thing, don't you wish we could fast forward to the preggo bit :) (Not that I'm not enjoying the BD-ing)

lizandlulu · 21/10/2010 22:27

klou11 do you mean test for ovulation or for pregnancy? sorry all this complicated talk has lost meGrin

gruffalomama yes i thought of doing that, moving up a degree. the thermometer i bought only shows in celceius (sp?) and have looked at the lower temps chart and thats in farenheight (again sp?)!

MadKatz · 22/10/2010 08:52

Morning All,

Well AF has finally stopped late last night so here we go again.

KLou111 · 22/10/2010 10:27

lizandlulu sorry for confusing you, I'm confusing myself!! I did mean pregnancy so am on the wait for a couple of weeks now. Gruffalo explained about the 2ww thing, so think it would be a waste if I test now like you said earlier.

Am now on day 18 of cycle, it's my birthday on 1st Nov (CD 28), so may test then - what a birthday present that would be!!!!

Still got a bit of a dull ache on the right side of my belly which is odd, hopefully something good is happening in there.

Madkatz good luck this month, everything well ans truely crossed for you x

KLou111 · 22/10/2010 15:51

Well, according to my obsessing on the internet today about when I should be ovulating, I am apparently in my most fertile period now :)

I wonder then if that was me starting to ovulate last night with the pain in my right side (which is slightly still there).

Here's hoping :o

How are the rest of you today xx

MadKatz · 22/10/2010 15:58

Good Luck KLou, hope it is the right time for you. Sounds like that pain may have been ovulation then.

I'm fine, looking forward to getting on with it this cycle - would be lovely to be PG for Christmas and to be able to tell everyone on Christmas day

KLou111 · 22/10/2010 19:40

A Christmas PG would be fab, I TOTALLY agree, nothing could beat that x

lizandlulu · 22/10/2010 21:07

ohh yes never tohught about doing that, waiting till christmas day, sounds lovelySmile here's hoping!

GruffaloMama · 22/10/2010 21:18

ooh - that would be lovely, wouldn't it? here's hoping for lovely July babies for us all!

lizandlulu · 24/10/2010 20:23

well theres the downside! preggers for christmas but also heavily pregnant all through summer!

i have remembered to take my temperature for 3 days now and all 3 times have been the lowest on the chart, am i just cold?

MadKatz · 25/10/2010 08:49

no your not just cold liz it happens sometimes.

Everyone have a good weekend?

GruffaloMama · 25/10/2010 16:49

Hiya - lovely weekend doing very little... How was your's madkatz?

Liz - my temps get down to 35.5c sometimes - it's off the bottom of most of the charts. Is your's similar?
