Hello Ladies.....

Anyone else in the same Boat??

CD16 for me, OV'd (as far as I can tell) on CD14. Had the whole EWCM thing but am so obsessed with this TTC thing that I am (for my sins) using the CBFM and trying to get my head round temping - its like a full time job ATM.

So I'd say I am officially on the 2WW.....

Didn't particularly enjoy the last 2WW as it was my first month TTC so was totally convinced I was PG the day after I OV'd - silly cow - I had fabricated every symptom you could think of and was truly suffering - in my head!

So this time round I am determined to try and take it easy, hence the reason I am on a cirtual Cruise.

Would love to meet the other passengers and share 2WW stories, worries and joys. If you fancy it come aboard.....

Do you have any symptoms JSFN? Which tests have you been buying?
Sounds to me like you might just be late with your AF... but obviosuly we are hoping not!!!

crazybutterflylady · 30/07/2010 11:08

Haaaa! nomorechoc, I wish tests said that. It would ridicule us into not taking them every other day

Saying that, knowing the manufacturers' shoddy promises ("use up to 4 days before you are due, even though this will be a complete waste of time and money because it won;t tell you a thing ") they would say "not this time but go on, try again! quick!!"

JustShaggingForNow · 30/07/2010 11:11

Crazy I have got really bad lower back pain, peeing a lot, rather a lot of pant snot (sorry TMI!!), feeling very sick and exhausted, my abdomen feels heavy and I am getting twinges but not like period pain and I can't stop bloody salivating!!! Probably totally unrelated but still....... driving me mad!! Been using FR so no idea why both BFP and AF are MIA!!!

crazybutterflylady · 30/07/2010 11:16

Hmmmm, maybe just not enough hcg in the pee yet? it does say if no sign of AF after a week to test again, so ANOTHER week waiting might be in store for you.
But then this is only my first time TTC so I am pretty clueless...!

JustShaggingForNow · 30/07/2010 11:18

I'm not even TTC so am even more clueless!!!! Lets hope that either
a) she arrives over the weekend (although preferably not today when I am wearing a cream dress or on Saturday night when I will be wearing white jeans!!!)
b) The Dr does a test that is a BFP
c) the Dr sends me for a blood test.

crazybutterflylady · 30/07/2010 11:28

Yeah sounds about right. Do you already have a Dr appt?

JustShaggingForNow · 30/07/2010 11:30

Nope - my surgery is ridiculous and you can only book advance appointments for 2 weeks in advance....... which I always think is somewhat pointless!! I'll go into the "emergency" drop in on Monday morning and try and see a Dr that way!!

Flighttattendant · 30/07/2010 11:36

8DPO here, and starting to realise I am too scared to test when it might actually show up!

I have already wasted a couple, much too soon, because there was some deep psychological conflict going on in my brain I suppose

anyway...I'm due on on Thursday next week, and have had strange symptoms since Ov.

I am off to read everyone else's!

naitimum · 30/07/2010 15:20

Please tell me that feeling sick around lunchtime is a possible pregnancy symptom, cos I've had that for the last few days and also felt sick when I woke up this morning so stayed in bed for a while trying to feel pregnant...
I have another 10 days before AF due - are you kidding me???

JustShaggingForNow · 30/07/2010 15:30

hahahaha naitimum I've got the feeling sick thing really badly this afternoon - feeling horrific. Also got really bad back pain and funny twinges in my lower abodomen. Still no sign of AF though, not even spotting or pink/brown CM.........

10 days will feel like a long wait can you distract yourself with anything in the mean time??

curiouselle · 30/07/2010 16:56

naitimum staying in bed trying to feel pregnant - I love that!
I am going to try that technique next time round!

teapartyfan · 31/07/2010 10:20

Naitimum, genius idea, let us know if staying in bed trying to feel pregnant has results...

Wish I could try it, but in order to reduce the chaos I'm always up at 6 to wash clothes/dishwash/water plants/shower before DD is allowed up at 7. Nasty but effective.

Not sure how this routine will combine with horrific morning sickness I suffered last time. Will just embrace chaos again I'm afraid!

raspberrytipple · 31/07/2010 12:25

Hello all,
I am finally sort of due on next weekend but by now I would usually be getting symptoms of AF, my boobs would be hurting at least but not yet this time. Last week i convinced myself of lots of pregnancy related symptoms i.e. dizzy spells, feeling sick, headachy, bloated, peeing all the time, going off certain food etc but now they've all gone! how can they just disappear? My DP thinks it was all in my head.... can pregnancy symptoms just disappear all of a sudden or ease off? Sorry, im so impatient im going mad... one minute I think I am the next ive convinced myself im not.

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 31/07/2010 14:52

I'm still here. Even though the CB gave me a BFN yesterday morning still no sign of AF. May just be from this stupid kidney infection, but I'm sure sore boobs aren't caused by that (and it's not one of my AF symptoms).

So for now I'm on a sunlounger with my cranberry juice (ugh) and book just waiting.

MrsWajs · 31/07/2010 15:24

Ahoy! I'm still here, been hiding out in my cabin trying not to get too crazy!!

Day 28 for me, still another potential 4 days to go and still no symptoms at all, well a very slight cramping in the shower this morning which I don't think is a good sign!!

Justshagging The AWOL period and BFN happened to me once, it eventually came 2 weeks and 6 wasted pregnancy tests later. I wouldn't bother with Drs quite yet as they will just tell you to come back once it's been missing at least 2 weeks. It is possible you could be pregnant and not showing positive yet but don't want to get your hopes up too much in case that's not the case.

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 01/08/2010 14:45

Sunday is half over, still no AF, and no signs of it either. Trying not to get excited!

Flighttattendant · 01/08/2010 14:52

Sorry about your kidney infection, that's grim

Have now convinced myself I am pg due to increasingly awful panic attacks regarding it. I have a dodgy stomach, feel sick most of the time, was sure I could smell marmite all morning which was just revolting and do not dare to use the lovely shiny unopened FR I have in my bag, because if I am actually pg I will go into total meltdown.

This scenario is in steep contrast to the last two times when I was very very excited indeed to test. I think the problem is DP being so keen and my knowing how sick I get.

Someone who talks about prams in the middle of sex has got it really bad haven't they. I'm not joking! What are my chances of persuading him we could adopt?

Hi
A bit late on this thread, but would like to join! I am TTC #3 and i am 8 DPO. I have not succumbed to buying any pregnancy tests yet so no temptation to POS! Had a MC in Dec but now feel ready -- just came back from hols where we hope to have been successful in doing the deed!
baby dust to all and hope AF stays away for everyone!

Flighttattendant · 01/08/2010 15:07

Hi Page Sorry to hear about your MC. It is lovely that you feel ready to try again.
Wishing you lots of luck!

Page62 · 01/08/2010 16:32

thanks flightattendant! to you too!!!

Page62 · 01/08/2010 16:35

just read back some of your post FA. Am i right in thinking you've been very sick in past pregnancies? if that's the case -- me too! i.e. in both pregnancies, people at work found out way before the 1st scan (even the one we lost) as i threw up about 7-8x a day....oh the joys....must be crazy wanting to do this all over again!

Flighttattendant · 01/08/2010 16:56

Oh no that sounds atrocious. I was really ill, yes - managed not to be sick but felt so ghastly they told me I had hyperemesis anyway, you know, constant severe nausea - and I was given some medication but it didn't do an awful lot.

Did yours stop at some point? I think I stopped feeling bad at about 20 weeks both times. But it was hellish.

This is why my fear and panic about being pg because I'm worried they won't let me have anything stronger this time and I won't be able to function. We got through it both times but it wasn't good.

Page62 · 01/08/2010 18:39

around 26 weeks the first time and the second time, i was still throwing up (not as much) by the time i went into labour!!
yes, we must be crazy then

Dinkytinky · 01/08/2010 23:46

Ahoy hoy! Pretty Please can I join? I'm 9Dpo - on the symptom spotting front I only had crampies exactly a week after bding, other than that everything if a bit AF related, have been a bit weepy and huuuungry haha!

Just to clarify- if someone gets a BFP do they have to walk the plank?!?!! :O

naitimum · 02/08/2010 11:15

Hi,
staying in bed feeling pregnant hasn't been so easy for me the last couple of days as ds1 isn't keen on the idea..
I have pretty much convinced myself I'm not preggers this month, as I was feeling sick and now I'm not, but I guess it is all so early that I don't really know. I am however completely hormonal this week and getting upset over everything.
Hope the marmite smell hasn't returned flightattendant
Any news nomorechocbisuits and justshaggingfornow?
