A bit of fun here to see how many MN have Aphantasia. I’ve posted in competitions as I’m guessing people who enjoy them might find this interesting.

This is the ability to see images in our minds.
To simply test this.
Close your eyes and imagine a red star.
Can you see one and to what extent,
Post here which image you see numbers 1-6 as you imagine that star .

Please note there is nothing wrong if you can’t see a star about 2-3% of the population can’t either.

But @SilverTay what do you mean you can smell smells. Is the definition of a smell something one smells??

I can't 'see' anything. Just dark reddish inside eyelids. I can imagine things. I can mental walk through my house for example. I know what's where. I can tell if something like a sofa will work in a room or if an outfit will suit me. I can see a colour irl like on a wall and be able to go to a fabric shop and pick a fabric exactly the same colour. I have remarkable colour memory. I can read a menu and be able to predict what the food will look like from the written description
But I don't actually see anything when I close my eyes.

I can see number 1, which is nothing hahahahaha

Speaking about it being on the competitions page has anyone ever tried newcomps.co.uk its quite a good competitions website where you can enter lots of different competitions in the UK.
