BGDC, he has one of the bionicles its a big yellow thing....no good asking me what it is lol.

see as a relatively new MNer I don't really know Trinity or her circumstances or TLERC's previous threads so can't comment on those really, just to say that from what I can gather you seem to have all gathered round to help Trinity and that's fantastic (sorry if its off topic but just wanted to add that really}

PT, sometimes I say things in passing that I mean in a jovial way and then realise how it sounds iyswim?

Its like I posted on FB "Anyone up for a bank job" I didn't mean it anymore than I did when I put ds1 up for sale on another forum...its just the way I put things. Unfortunatly on the internet things can be misread/misunderstood.

For instance, I could type now that DS1 is driving me totally mental and delibreatly winding me up and i think I am going to lock him in the cellar.....I wouldn't but I would be voicing what I would be dreaming of....>>>>>..goes off to search for the cellar key.

back to original thread, my nephew is getting a second hand i pod for christmas from ebay, tarted up of course with all his fav songs on so its ready for listening to. cause as everyone is in the same boat money is tight for everyone these days, but im sure op that whatever you get your son he will be so pleased with.
Your very brave with the lego though tbh, that hurts when you stand on the small bits and it always happens to me always .

TLERC I often feel like locking DS in the cellar (if I had one of course) and have offered both my DC up for sale on facebook many a time

lego bionicles are not like the robot bionicles (so ds tells me) they can build these one's themselves out of lego - come in all shapes & sizes blah blah , but ds does loves building them with dh (dh even more so) & they are only around £5 each .

My ds will be 11 in Jan and for xmas he'll be getting the first Professor Layton ds game, some football cones, Man Utd pjs and the Science Museum UFO thing. Grandparents are getting him a chemistry set, aunt is getting him Monopoly city and gt aunt is getting him Lego Minotaurus game.

I realise all this doesn't come cheap (although ds game and pjs came from ebay) but if it's ideas you're after....
