Thought it would be handy to start a thread!!!

You should all get an ID number for parcels, so please quote it in your thanks (you can name change ) to make life easier for people checking their parcels have been received!

for Christmas Spirit!

RubySlippers, you are very welcome! I hope it brings some happiness to your Christmas.

Santa1006 · 20/12/2008 13:09

MNerofthehouse good idea not to open yet as I didnt wrap anything. Thought I'd let you decide which of your DC to give which present to!

Thanks for letting me know it has been received though, I was starting to get a bit worried!

Santa 1106 please read this.. www.mumsnet.com/Talk/_chat/669728-I-should-be-sitting-on-a-cruise-being-plied-with?rnd=1229779379480

This is such a wonderful idea. It's so heartwarming to think that there are so many generous anonymous people prepared to give so much to someone they don't know.

It does restore your faith.

I hope I'll be in a position to take part next year.

Happy Christmas to all you fabulous MNers, and I hope 2009 is better for all of us.

I have just received a beautiful box with fresh flowers in it.

You must by psychic mumsnet lady as I have walked past fresh flowers in the supa twice this week wanting to buy some, then walked away as I thought of something else I needed to get instead!

They are lovely and you have made me smile again.

Thanks so much. A beautiful gift. xx jane xx

Wow! Words fail me. Arrived home today to find postie had left massive box of goodies for my boys. You are one clever Mnetter. Things to build, to make, to play with, to use in the bath, to wear, to read and so on and so on and do you know, every single thing is absolutely perfect. It's like you know my boys

I am spending the rest of this evening wrapping up each one, and will put them under the tree with your gift for me.

There will be smiles and shrieks in this home on Christmas Day and that will be down to you.

I have shed a few tears of thanks this evening I am so overwhelmed, and I will make sure that DS1 knows how he and his younger brother got such wonderful gifts.

You are a star, thank you forever.

LittleOneMum · 20/12/2008 20:59

NeedMoreCoffee - you're so very welcome

I'm sorry all I could send was a gift voucher. I have been off work for a couple of weeks so have not been paid. I hope it helps you though.

MNeroftheHouse · 21/12/2008 09:48

1006....I opened the box after the dds went to bed, and was very glad I had waited. Thankyou for everything. I am very impressed you managed to cram so much stuff into one box!
It will all share out fairly evenly between the girls (dd2 getting slightly more girly pink things) and few obvious bits for ds. I am love the fridge magnets....I looked at them last week and didn't get them!

Thankyou so much for this. You have doubled the sixe of their Christmas stockings and provided presents from their grandad (who gave me money which I spent on the council tax)

[grin ]

1905 THANK YOU so much The present for DS is absolutely spot on, in fact we both have a soft spot for the doctor!

Also soo pleased with my gift card, you are so generous.

It is so lovely to know that there are people out there thinking of me, and others who have had a bad year. Even DP got all sentimental (and a little envious).

Thank you so so much for the Boots Giftcard, it was so generous of you and I am embarrassed to say the least to be receiving so many wonderful things.

I am going to put it towards buying myself some perfume, I haven't had any for ages. Thank you.

I have just received your parcel, I was out on Friday when the Postman brought it and he left a card through the door saying it was for "Mrs M Netter". I said to DH "don't know who the hell Mrs Netter is, they must have the wrong address"

Today the postman brought it again(!) and I clicked!

Thank you so so much for the bottle warmer, that will really come in handy when I want to warm bottles of expressed breastmilk as will the breast milk containers for the freezer! Brilliant. The girls have just demolished the chocolate coins and I will use the diary as it is so handy to have in my bag and with 3 children, I will need to be organised!

Thanks again, I don't know what to say to you lovely people who take the time and effort to do this for strangers.

hairymcclary · 21/12/2008 13:16

I sent my email off, stating what i had to give and what i would like etc, ages ago and didnt get a reply.
Havnt recieved any parcels

PoinsettiasScareMe · 21/12/2008 13:22

Aww Hairy - StG kept bumping the giving thread asking people to yell if they hadn't had replies, and when she had sent out all the matches etc If you heard nothing at all from her then I think things went awry with your first email

I just got a box of fairy goodness!!! Thank you soooooooo much. Flamechick will be delighted (as will Flameboy when he swipes em off her - DH says we aren't allowed to wrap one for him ). You are a very very generous person

All emotional now!
