Thankyou ChiefElf, then I can pour my thanks out without guilty feelings it should have gone to someone else!
To LouJay and family.
We have all had this horrid flu bug, DS ended up missing most of his preschool festivities and tbh I was dreading christmas. We had already recieved a voucher from AttilatheMeerkat (thankyou again!) and I honestly am shocked to have more.
I must admit (sorry meerkat) I spent the voucher on a bargain box of nappies and mulipack of wipes, plus two little wooden jigsaws at the weekend. I literally had the coins in my purse so we had no choice, but we will now have a bit of extra money on payday for the gifts we would have otherwise spent on nappies.
But I'm warbling. LouJay, my neighbour took in the delivery as me and the DC were fast asleep. As soon as I saw the label my eyes filled up. The card is just beautiful and well, words are not enough.
It's as if you knew exactly what to send to us, the DC are train crazy, and I've been wanting an aquadraw for ages, it will be especially brilliant as DS is ASD and is obsessed with drawing, but not very good at keeping it just to paper. The PJ's are perfect (hope you don't mind but they have them on now, as I was struggling to keep up with laundry with the current snotfest in the house). Stocking fillers too. Just wow.
I must admit I cried a little bit more at the magazine and chocs for me. I've not been able to afford mags for ages and it was wonderful to sit in peace with a real treat. Your pressie for me is under the tree.
Gosh, it's too much. I can't believe someone would think of us like this, but I can tell you I am very much into the christmas spirit today. We have made paper chains and spent a while punching and pinning up our cards.
Best festive wishes to both my secret santas, and to all of mumsnet. Thankyou so so very much.
