Thanks so much to @Sideorderofchips for keeping things going. I can barely believe it's September and (for me at least!) that only means one thing - Christmas can start!!!!

Hope you've all had a great year and have missed you all. Last couple of years I've had various health things going on so have been a bit distant from the threads. Not quite there yet but feeling stronger than this time last year and I can't wait until I see more festive items in the shops! I've already bought my advent calendar - I've got the taskmaster one (which I'm quite excited about!).

I'll post various links etc in the next thread first post but essentailly you guys know the drill - share and be nice or leave.

Bloody Nora. I saw there were loads of posts to catch up with and thought I'd be seeing many bargains, but no, just some middle of the night ranting from someone who hopefully now is full of regret.

Anyway, just came on to say that Thompson and Morgan have a seed sale on from 49p. It includes some of their beautiful Kew Gardens packets which have stunning illustrations and are great for gifting to gardeners. Last year I bought half a dozen packs and put them in a pretty tin for my best pal who loved them.

With teen beauty, in the run up to Christmas, Space NK often have selection packs of minis of various of the on trend brands. And then they do 20% off on Black Friday. These have been popular with my teen DD at Xmas for the past couple of years.
I’m sure Sephora & places will do similar but we have a Space NK on our high street so that’s the one I’m familiar with.

Not a bargain so much, but if anybody has K-pop demon fans to buy for, Mira’s (£16.99) and Rumi’s (£12.99) swords are currently in stock at Smyths (at least in the Ricoh store) and they have a Golden poster on the checkouts that they were just giving away whether you brought something K-pop or not.
You can get Zoey’s throwing knives in the Entertainer and on Amazon (again they had some in Tesco’s Ricoh) (£8.00)

Tesco’s also have a load of K-pop demon hunter note books that they had on offer (between £4.50 and £5.20 I believe) with club card.
Also, at Smyth’s Ricoh, they were selling a load of Funko’s for £5.

I just booked Santa. In my defence, it ALWAYS books up early, as Santa is fantastic. Not a bargain, but still Christmas!

@GameOfJones my daughter had an animal bitzee. We won it in a competition, she was about 8. She liked it but I wouldn't have wanted to pay full price for it as she completed all the levels (meeting the demands of the animals to make them grow into adults) quite quickly and then didn't really play with it again.

@EvieBB I think you would find this thread quite useful considering you not only have Christmas to prepare for but also a November birthday.
I too have a child with a November birthday and the bargains I find on here can then be split between the two. I think it's odd you can't see this.

I was just going to ask if by some slim chance anyone has already opened for themselves or gifted someone one of the Benefit Bounce mascara duo gift boxes?

I was going to buy a couple as gifts but decided to research the mascara a bit more first and the recent reviews of the individual mascara on the benefit site itself show multiple people having dried up mascaras! So I’m interested in whether it’s the same for the ones in the gift boxes (I’m wondering if maybe that’s why they are reduced…).

(I hate to start this year with a negative query - I’ve been here for many years as my eldest is 13 and I love these threads - thanks Reastie! - but I’m interested in buying myself).

No that would be if I said “I wish it was Christmas Eve today!” I am glad I have 16 more weeks to prepare. (Nobody tell them all some of us have been on the prequel threads since the January sales and I bought a Christmas tree last month 😂)

I’ve just got back from holiday, so I can finally keep an eye on all the wonderful bargains everyone posts. I’ll definitely be needing them this year, as unfortunately I need to redo my lounge after my neighbour’s house caught fire when they fell asleep with a cigarette on the sofa 🤦‍♀️ leaving my lounge with some smoke damage. So I’m looking forward to seeing everyone’s bargains and getting my lounge ready in time for Christmas!

I am shocked at all the harsh comments towards EvieBB, I read her post smiled and thought it was maybe a jokey comment. The replies to her are quite bullying and if this happened to one of our children we would be really upset for them. Let just be nice, costs nothing.
