This post is a work in process and if you have any links you’d like to share or would be good to add then please do let me know. The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links (is that the right word?) And any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of mn filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!

If you have any referral links then please post on this thread https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/5212180-bargain-referrals-thread-7 and share around the joy/referral perks.

@Cos1970 oh thanks! It was me looking for towels. They look great 👍

They have some highland coo towels as well, which I bought instead. I needed to top our Christmas hand towel collection up!

Theraffarian · 31/08/2025 16:41

Popped into an m and s outlet today and they had reductions on last years Christmas stock . Nothing spectacular but the Christmas light up candles that were £12 and matching diffusers reduced to £8.50 , I bought at full price last year as they do smell lovely.

Theraffarian · 31/08/2025 16:43

On a has anyone seen note , I’m looking for Terry towelling Christmas tea towels . Mine are looking a little sad and I can’t deal with microfibres ones , and have never managed to get the cotton flat type ones to actually dry anything . Just in case anyone comes across any on their travels. Ta

SkinnyOatFlatWhiteForMePlease · 31/08/2025 16:49

Only discovered this month - Jam Doughnut for gift voucher cash back. I have started using it to do my supermarket shop weekly, currently 3% back on Tesco.
If I’m buying tickets (8% cineworld), gifts (10% adidas and 9% book tokens) or clothes (7.5% new look) I just get the voucher then check out.
I have put my referral code on the thread for £3 each.

BerfyTigot · 31/08/2025 16:57

Thanks very much @NoWordForFluffy and @LeatherJacketWedding I'm quite tempted by the Ulster Weavers santa ones.

GAME has sale on currently.

Some good Star Wars offers in there if any of yours collect the figures.

Primark normally do lots of towelling tea towels so may be worth a look when they’re done with halloween/autumn stuff?

Also Vinted! I just bought some brand new Christmas oven gloves from there.

Not sure if already mentioned as I’m way behind but does she mean a general hash brown or the character in peppa pig? I think it was in the one where they go to America. (I have a five year old that makes impossible requests too!)

Ah I didn’t think to ask but she has definitely watched that episode a few times so it could well be where she got it from 🤣😭🫣 glad it’s not just my child 🤣🤣

zacsGranny · 31/08/2025 13:20

MamaK19 If anyone can find a crochet pattern, or even a good picture, rather than a cartoon, I'm happy to try and make you one.

Edited

Awwww that is so kind of you @zacsGranny thanks so much for the offer! I think I’ve managed to find a few different options thank you though - best side of mumsnet 😍

@MamaK19if you google jellycat hash brown this comes up

I know it says potato but sort of looks like a hash brown

Thanks so much @Willow4987 💛💛

A bit niche but Amazon have 20% off Vida the Vet toys as well as the Barbie stuff a PP mentioned. My DD 4 loves that show.

Aw I saw the large doll in B&M for £12.99 if she doesn’t already have it - it’s a decent size too so would look like a big present

I have some from a couple of years ago from H&M. I think they do similar every year.

After I read your post, I felted this 'prototype' which isn't quite finished yet as he still needs some legs and possibly arms. If you don't get sorted, do send me a PM. He only took me a couple of days to make, so I'd be happy to send one to you for your DD. Absolutely free of charge of course. I just like to keep myself busy and like a new challenge! 😊

Ooh does this qualify for my first ever thread title suggestion @Reastie?! “The one with the felted hashbrown”

beetr00 · 31/08/2025 19:25

@RainbowZebraWarrior yer a queen, so very kind of you and it looks fabulous 👑 💎

daisyboo1 · 31/08/2025 19:35

I know many of you have your Spode Christmas dinnerware, but sadly I missed that ship! I'm looking for something similar this year (I'm not assuming as bargainous!) and wondered if anyone has seen any nice Christmas dining and serving sets?

eCookshop still has Spode for a good price.
