We are all having a lazy day.

Had a lie in, a bath, put pyjamas back on.

Bacon sandwich this morning, now going to have a buffet tea with cheese, crackers, crisps etc. made a trifle.

Hopefully going to catch up on some tv later and have an early night.

Enjoyed a walk along the seafront this morning. Enjoyed a cured meats, cheese and party food buffet for a late lunch early tea. Will chill with wine and chocolate for the rest of the day.

maybeinanotherlifetime · 26/12/2024 16:09

I have been the laziest of all lazy gits today. Kids occupied with their new toys so I’ve basically say on my bum for most of the day watching films and snoozing. Only got up to make lunch and then again to put a wash on and hang the clothes up after

Cosycover · 26/12/2024 16:14

We sorted all the Christmas mess and now it's time for a bath with my new bath shit, then pjs and Chinese.

Can't beat it!

Hope you all have a good one.

PerambulationFrustration · 26/12/2024 16:14

Paid a visit to mil, went for a walk, some general tidying, put some dinner on (no leftovers as we spent yesterday being hosted by family), now watching a cheesy Christmas movie while drinking tea and eating some cheese and crackers.

creamsnugjumper · 26/12/2024 16:16

I've been pretty sick over Christmas so today has been a buffet, snacky food day and I got the hoover out and want to mop but I gave up grabbed a Baileys and put Gavin and Stacy on catch up.

I watch's last night but was sleepy.

My DH has lit a bonfire, my DS are out.

MsXmasGGMasterTwat · 26/12/2024 16:16

Lazy day here too, although I’ve been doing some coursework and life admin. Both DCs have been revising after getting up at noon for a sausage sandwich. Now retired to their rooms for a bit.

I was going to I on my treadmill but don’t seem to have managed it/have lost the will.

Curry and a film later.

JM88Jen · 26/12/2024 16:17

Leftover turkey, stuffing and cranberry baguettes for lunch then played Monopoly.... Football on TV now so kids have gone to do their own things and I am eating some pringles 😆
Making a curry for dinner tonight and probably quite an early night!

Lazily! DD1 has been doing crafts literally all day, she's relentless. She did manage a brief pause for us to all watch Wallace and Gromit together but then straight back to it! DD2 has been playing with toys all day, she's just got up from her nap. I've been titting about doing the odd bit of tidying stuff away but mainly eating honey roasted nuts and doing some sales shopping online with my Christmas money. Husband has been absorbed in a new game I got him. I popped to shop more for fresh air than anything but other than that, we've all been very sedentary!

Leftovers for dinner and some games after! DD1 got some new Orchard Games ones to play so we will give those a go. Then DH and I have a game to play once kids are in bed.

BulldogMumma · 26/12/2024 16:19

My eldest and his partner have come round today so I'm making a roast. Later on it will be tv, pjs and a glass of baileys

SirChenjins · 26/12/2024 16:19

A long lie, tgen FaceTimed DS who lives overseas, then made turkey soup, then went for a walk. Now slobbing in front of the telly, eating leftovers and chocolate, and ignoring the messy house.

natwalesrug · 26/12/2024 16:21

Collected car this morning from sisters house , son n Oz and the other has gone to girlfriends house ,daughter with ILs so eating biscuits ,chocolate ,looking at my lovely presents, watching grease and just chilling…bloody perfect Boxing Day. Husband out with doggie.

TheLightSideOfTheMoon · 26/12/2024 16:21

I cooked Christmas dinner for my parents.

Once they left we went to bed as we have The Cold.

(I did gently suggest that we skip it due to said colds but they said they’ve had their jabs so they’ll be okay. They won’t. What we have is neither Covid or the ‘Flu, it’s just a particularly nasty cough/cold. Still, they know best…)

wobblyweasel · 26/12/2024 16:22

A cross between dog walking and being very lazy watching the tv. Promising myself to eat quite frugally today, but so far have eaten 3 mince pies, half a box of After 8s, too many satsumas and a huge turkey sandwich. Plus have prepared a vast salad for dinner. Oh and flicking through the books I got for Christmas.

unlikelychump · 26/12/2024 16:23

What are people watching with kids please?

DominoRules · 26/12/2024 16:24

Total lazy day, our plans got cancelled due to DS1 and I having the mother of all colds……. So we’ve watched TV, eaten whatever we want whenever we want it and had a lot of lemsip 😂

MadmansLibrary · 26/12/2024 16:26

DD got up and played with her toys and I had a lie in, then made breakfast and did some tidying up. DD's now off for the night with her Dad and I'm sat on the sofa eating blue cheese and crackers, doomscrolling, with the Beauty and the Beast remake on TV. Really should've made hay whilst the sun shone and gone for a walk but just could not be bothered.

Mill3nniel · 26/12/2024 16:27

Lazy day. Let DC watch an hour of TV in the morning until we were ready to get up then played with some new toys for an hour or two, some TV, snacks and that's about it. DC have been in pyjamas all day.

johnyhadasister · 26/12/2024 16:27

sleeping in, making the course for the games, playing all with the toys, me chatting to online buddies or youtubing on topics I am interested in. Food is back to normal, there was a bit of turkey left but the bit of turkey husband bought was not my taste. So a lot of ham, eggs, cheese and that sort of thing for food.

SoySaucy · 26/12/2024 16:28

Walk this morning, now dh is watching the football with the dc, we’ve got a beige buffet on the table. I’m about to go for a bath and put on new pjs. Me and dh are watching a film later and sharing a Camembert 😂

JBJ · 26/12/2024 16:30

I'm on my own for a few days now as DS is with his dad, so I've had a nice long lie in, shower, scrambled egg on toast and a cuppa for lunch, done a bit of washing and tidying, then took the dog out for a nice long walk before it got dark, and I'm now watching the Death in Paradise Christmas special and pondering what to have for dinner. It's between lamb chops, green veg and mash or cheese and biscuits with cooked meats, grapes and little cream cheese stuffed peppers.

Cantstopthenoise · 26/12/2024 16:30

We were at my Mum and Dad's yesterday so just had a chilled day with the kids today, our friends came over and then we had a walk to the shop. Starting to get everyone back to normal routines and gradually clearing out gift bags of presents.

Mashroom · 26/12/2024 16:31

Fire lit, candles lit, ate dinner, watched bit of Virgin River, now having mulled wine watching Greece on mute as I actually am enjoying the banter between the kids playing Lego (stormtrooper sound effect v cute 😂)

How are you all spending your Boxing Day?
Natsku · 26/12/2024 16:31

We went to MIL's for another Christmas, now back home again and relaxing with cheese. Might watch a film later. Will have a glass of wine soon.

OneSnowyNightTime · 26/12/2024 16:33

This morning, clearing up the complete mess from yesterday. Washing up, getting rid of all the wrapping paper/boxes recycling, finding homes for the new toys etc.
This afternoon, films, leftovers, cups of tea, mince pies. Later I've got to make some gingerbread biscuits for some friends I'm seeing tomorrow. Tonight, maybe a board game? Or a bath.

Notmycircusnotmyotter · 26/12/2024 16:43

My little kids are with their dad's family today. I drove my dad home (great excuse to not go to the inter-generational stress fest with in laws I don't like). Expecting them back this evening. I miss the kids but lots more Christmas to come over the next week and I'm spending the day eating cheese, beef and chocolates, drinking champagne and watching films with my best friend who's staying.
