We are all having a lazy day.

Had a lie in, a bath, put pyjamas back on.

Bacon sandwich this morning, now going to have a buffet tea with cheese, crackers, crisps etc. made a trifle.

Hopefully going to catch up on some tv later and have an early night.

This morning was a five mile walk, put all presents in right places and a healthy breakfast and lunch. This afternoon was nap followed by pub, then a homemade curry tonight. Like a Sunday but with gifts.

JoJothegerbil · 26/12/2024 16:51

I've got the lurgy so have done nothing today. I struggled through yesterday feeling rough but managed to cook lunch for 10. Our guests have now gone so we're all being really lazy, watching tv and grazing on leftovers.

Justhereforthechristmasthreads · 26/12/2024 16:53

Worked this morning.

Not done a lot this afternoon

This evening it's buffet at in laws but won't be stopping long as I have work again in the morning

PrincessHoneysuckle · 26/12/2024 16:54

Has family over earlier. Now drinking beer and cooking beef, roasties and cauliflower cheese

ThatMauveRaven · 26/12/2024 16:56

Lazy day for us. Just popped to Sainsbury’s for some essentials then we’ll head round to DM’s house for leftovers of Christmas dinner. We’ll take the dog for a walk before pudding and then return for some games and booze. Pretty standard!

Tana433 · 26/12/2024 16:59

Football and food for us today! Boxing day is my favourite day of the year!

IBlameTheDog · 26/12/2024 17:00

Early dog walk. Gavin & Stacey, much lounging and eating and just watched Newcastle beat Villa.

It's literally the perfect day ☺️

Gone12 · 26/12/2024 17:08

Having a quiet day mentally preparing for an early start tomorrow for a 3 hour drive to see mostly DH's family, one of who is unbearably obnoxious and rude....then the long drive home again. I will be so relieved once tomorrow is done. If only somehow it could be cancelled

Other than that I've been eating lots of chocolate, and DH has been playing new PS game most of the day and is now watching TV.

Poppins17 · 26/12/2024 17:10

Got up early to roast gammon and re-watched Gavin and Stacey.

Had my folks around for lunch, watched click and collect and chatted for a while after food.

They have gone so dishwasher now on, Christmas lights on and we’re both scrolling with no radio or tv on - it’s bliss!

Changingplace · 26/12/2024 17:11

Nice chilled day :)

We had bacon & egg sandwiches for breakfast, walked the dog and nibbled on cheeses & pork pie.

The lay on the sofa reading my book and DH is cooking roast beef for dinner, I might have a glass of wine.

Glenthebattleostrich · 26/12/2024 17:12

Lazy late breakfast, bacon, sausages, fried bread and tomatoes. Walk with the dog, stopped at the local for a pint then home to watch Newcastle kick Villas arses yet again!!!!

About to have cheeseboard and Christmas Ham for tea with some wine and watch crap Christmas telly tonight.

All round good day!!

AuntieMarys · 26/12/2024 17:16

6 mile walk, pub, read a whole book this afternoon and am now eating cheese

Wiaa · 26/12/2024 17:43

Cycled to the PILs for breakfast and then came home did a quick tidy up then played monopoly. Dh and ds(8) are at the football and ive been playing with ds(5) pictionary, built a lego tractor and played with his remote control vehicles. As soon as dh is home we're dropping the boys off at the pils as we're going out drinking. Its been a lovely day

Inextremis · 26/12/2024 17:49

Chillin' :) Had bubble 'n squeak for breakfast with a couple of fried eggs, then persuaded the dishwasher to work again after it threw a fit yesterday. Tidied kitchen and front room. DH is suffering with his neck/back but has summoned the strength to go to the pub. I had the last glass of red wine out of yesterday's bottle, and it seemed like a good idea to open another one - so here I am, gently tiddly, have had 2 teaspoonfuls of leftover stuffing, waiting for Himself to get home - and he just has!

ChristmasIsComing2024 · 26/12/2024 18:17

We went to the LUSH sale this morning then we came home and watched tv and ate some leftover buffet food and fell asleep for a bit 🙈😂 Will probably order takeaway in a couple of hours 🥡

Patienceinshortsupply · 26/12/2024 18:44

Had a blitz first thing and sorted out presents/emptied dishwashers/put washing on. Then took dogs for a really long muddy walk, then came home for a cooked brunch of bacon/eggs. We've had our 2 youngest DC come back with one of their BF's, and spent a lovely afternoon watching The Holiday and they all raided the leftovers. Now DH is in the bath, I'm on MN and we're saving the last episode of Day of the Jackal.

MrsLT84 · 26/12/2024 18:51

DS(10) started throwing up at 1am so I spent the night on the sofa with him. We kicked hubby out of bed at 8am ish and slept on and off for a few hours. Managed enough time downstairs this afternoon for him and DD(2) to open their Christmas presents, which they didn't do yesterday as spent the day at my brothers. Currently trapped on my bed with DS, who is sleeping and hubby is entertaining DD. Just ordered a Nandos for tea as haven't eaten all day, and the food we bought in was meant to be for lunch with my mum today. Will see how DS feels in the morning and decide if mum can come over or not. Not the best day!

RandomMess · 26/12/2024 18:55

Said farewell to DD3 and partner.

DH took dog on a decent walk.

Watched Gavin & Stacey, Wallace & Grommit.

Tidied up our "storage room" and discovered our central heating expansion tank doesn't have a pressure gauge...

So fairly lazy day, but tomorrow we need to sort out the central heating 😬🫣

Soccermumamir · 26/12/2024 19:06

We went to the cinema to see Sonic 3. It was brilliant. Then home, baths, pjs and more Nibbles 😊

I love that film 'click and collect' Watched it for the first time last year and watched it twice this year 🙂

EsmeeMerlin · 26/12/2024 19:16

We have had a lovely day. We got dressed up and went to our favourite pub for our Christmas lunch today. So much better having it all cooked for us and no washing up. It was also a fraction of the price it would have been yesterday. We then came back and our two boys opened up some presents we kept aside. We have been playing games and drinking more bucks fizz. I am usually not a massive fan of boxing day but it really has been a lovely day.

TheChosenTwo · 26/12/2024 19:21

Went for a swim first thing, came home and ate a lot of leftovers and then cleared the house of everything Christmas. Cleaned up a bit but Dh did most of it while I was swimming. He and ds went to watch the football and I went and delivered presents that were left behind last night.
packing now as we are away first thing tomorrow morning.

Pineapplewaves · 26/12/2024 19:27

Long lie in, picky lunch consisting of yesterday's buffet leftovers, Christmas movies, tidied up after yesterday and a second turkey dinner for tea. DC wanted to spend the day in their Christmas pj's which was fine.

gemdrop84 · 26/12/2024 19:30

I'm still coughing loads, stayed in bed this morning as hardly slept. Watched Gavin and Stacey which made me cry and BBC Ghost Story Lot 249.
DH made a pot of coffee and bacon sandwiches.
I set up my new Kindle and been watching movies. Just had a buffet, it's the first time I've had much of an appetite since last week!
