I'm taking a punt here that we won't need another thread before Christmas, but feel free to prove me wrong!

Greetings and welcome one and all to a friendly and joyful corner of mn - the Christmas bargain thread. Here, we share Christmas present purchases, ideas, links and discount codes, with the aim to spread the Christmas magic and joy and reduce the financial stress.

It's a very busy thread, so see the tips below for helping everything run smoothly and avoiding repetitions of Cookiegate etc al. It's a lovely, friendly bunch and I'm so grateful to each and every one of you for building such a warm, fuzzy and generous spot on mn. I know I've save so much over the years and am so grateful to all of you for sharing.

I like the look of that history by Maps book for my DS 14th birthday. Had a little Google and you can actually get a pack of three of them delivered for about £30. It includes World War II in maps and battles in maps which are his interests so going to be a good present I think!

Lots of great deals at Studio. They have a £4.99 delivery fee but if you buy a lot at the same time, the savings make it worth it. I've ordered these pencil deals for next years overseas shoebox appeal There's also 5 metres of gingerbread wrapping paper for 50p and lots of other deals.

thought I’d share a lovely bargain we had this year. Disney book of Maps currently half price on Amazon at £7.12

The hand warmers with the dog on were a hit with my Db thankyou.

Dd loved her solace earrings, PLouise lip and white fox hoodie.

Thanks for this. Last year I bought a huge box of Lush stuff in the sale (again, saw it first on MN) and we opened it yesterday and were amazed how much we got (for a very cheap price!) It was the really good stuff including an octagonal hat box stuffed with goodies (original price £50, the label is still on it, and lots of nice Christmas items and smaller gift boxes.

They were out of date of course by the time we opened them and some of the bath bombs had lost a bit of colour but nothing worse than that.

Just to mention that Roka bags are running their lucky dip sale again, this was really popular last year. I have way too many of their bags so am trying to resist temptation but I think it’s a given that I’ll be buying more!! Can’t do links but it’s easy to find if you search “Roka bags”.

Big thanks to @Reastie @Sideorderofchips and everyone else who contributed. I got some fantastic bargains and ideas I wouldn’t have thought of.
The Deans shortbread made up several hampers and the bargain books were great.

Disappointingly my Sockshop PJs order was held up due to a Royal Mail issue. However, when I managed to contact Sockshop, the customer service was fantastic, offered to send a replacement that day but would possibly have not arrived before I needed them, so they gave me an immediate refund. I’d happily use them again
