Greetings and welcome one and all to a friendly and joyful corner of mn - the Christmas bargain thread. Here, we share Christmas present purchases, ideas, links and discount codes, with the aim to spread the Christmas magic and joy and reduce the financial stress.

It's a very busy thread, so see the tips below for helping everything run smoothly and avoiding repetitions of Cookiegate etc al. Ikea advent today is £10 voucher when you spend £50 in store, if you go in 'festive wear! Seems to be running all weekend.

I’m glad you had a good experience - I’ve never had the £5 voucher added back automatically! When I’ve looked there have been £5 vouchers on my account, but ones I hadn’t used yet from before the transaction.

Just a heads up to anyone with Amazon Prime - always double check on there for a price comparison before buying online on some of the other sites currently offering discounts. For examle, I've just made a purchase on LookFantastic availing of the TCB and 20% off, but I removed a set of make-up sponges from my basket as they were £12 on there and £6.49 on an Amazon deal (with free delivery). Also a book I bought via Harper Collins sale a few weeks ago was 50% off on Amazon yesterday and again with the free prime delivery. So I would have saved a few quid. 😂

I know most of you savvy bargain hunters would probably do this kind of cross checking anyway though! 😎

I have just received an order I placed yesterday afternoon. I ordered a set of loungewear each for my sons. I love the feel of it and love how it’s all wrapped in individual bags.

I had the pantene set in my basket went to check out and it had moved to saved for later at full price! Not having much luck this morning, had the reduced flowers, went to check out and no delivery available only the more expensive bouquets
