Treat bits - when do you put yours ‘out’?

My late teen kids joke that the Christmas stash (as they refer to it) is out of bounds til a certain date (usually 23rd ish Dec). I’m just curious as to when you have your treaty bits out for general consumption?

DH’s birthday is the 21st so usually then, but the proper shop doesn’t get done until the 23rd so it’s a more limited selection till then.

We’ve already had our first Christmas cake. Only slab style cakes though until we start the “real” Christmas cake (round one) on Christmas Eve.

As only two adults we don’t really have a start date for sweet stuff. Although DH knows that if he touches the cheese, meats, pates and pickles before Christmas Eve, he’s loosing the hand.

You could get some battery operated lights.

I have already started the Baileys! I tend to have the odd one from November time and then a bit more at Christmas.

I buy Christmas snacks from now and then once they're gone, they're gone. So I haven't opened the nuts and crisps as they won't be safe once I do! But nothing is off limits apart from food specifically designated for Christmas Day or Boxing Day.

@GameOfJones, I've had to buy 2 more litres of Baileys as it's been going down far too easily! Think we've had 3 litres already.

I've been making mince pies in batches for a while as well, and we've been enjoying those too. 😋

@NoWordForFluffy I really should have bought another bottle earlier now it's back down to £10 in Sainsburys!

I would put the words shrine to gluttony in neon lights above that sideboard.
