I hope you don't mind me starting this thread this year @beautifulsunflowers I absolutely loved this last year. I watched from afar and followed along doing one thing everyday to spread the cost, time, energy and Christmas cheer throughout November and December.

What is one thing you plan to do today to get organised?

I cleared out the freezer for some frozen Christmas dinner items as I buy them weekly and so far have 3 items in there plus cupboard stuff and some drink.

Have put the lights on two outside trees. I leave the ones on the gutters to DH and they will go up in next few days, weather permitting.

Today was decorating day. So the Christmas tree is up, and some lights are round the bushes outside. I've lit the advent candle.

This afternoon we will be going into town for the Christmas Fair so I will make sure I put the Christmas cards for the relatives into the post.

Which is why I am writing them right now with Christmas lights on and a Christmas movie in the background. 🌲

Today I have emailed DH a link to a present for me.

Yesterday I posted my overseas cards, today I will write my UK ones.

Today I posted my 10 uk Christmas cards, so that's another thing ticked off my list. I enquired at the post office about the last posting day to get a card to France but was told I've missed it, so I might send a New Year card to those friends instead.

2 more cakes made and some online shopping done.
Also browsed for a folding picnic table for the weans as we are having ILs round on the day. i usually do 2 sittings and get weans fed first before everyone else lands as they get too distracted when they all land round. Decided this year they can have their own posh table instead.

Made 2 Christmas puddings and 4 Christmas cakes.

Made 20 cards (stamped aperture blank cards, which I'll hang diamond art tree decorations in)

Made a bay leaf wreath - just need to put a bow on it.

I'm shattered!

Tomorrow as it’s my only real day off (being dragged to see moana 2 on Sunday with dd) I’m sorting out the shed (our storage shed) to make room for Xmas goodies. Hasn’t been done since august so probs a load of stuff out of date and things are falling over left right and centre. Also taking stock of the freezers to plan dinners to empty it before we go party food shopping next week.

Today I have been messing around with crafty stuff, attempting to make gift labels that don't look too naff. Is "naff" still a word in common parlance, I wonder?

In preparation for Christmas, today I will.
Have breakfast consisting of bucks-fizz and quality street.
I am going to do this every morning until Christmas, then on the day I shall be able to cook Christmas dinner with all the trimmings and not completely ruin it.

I'm going to check what presents I have already got, make a list of the rest and check online orders, Make a baking and cooking ingredient shopping list. Check what drinks I have in stock both alcohol and non-alcohol.

I will be doing much the same, a bit of a consolidation day, checking where I am with everything which will have the advantage of making the kitchen look tidier as there are cards, presents, wrapping paper and various other items all over the place.
It's cold and very windy outside but very sunny, so best enjoyed from inside the warm house I think!

Nothing today unless you count baking lots of sweet treats with the girls 😋

Made festive brownies they won't last to check that the recipe works.

Completed the handmade cards I've been working on.

Wrote all our cards that need to be send I swear it is like pulling teeth with DH writing his

Made some Lego tree decorations.

Slow cooked the last two Christmas puddings.

DH and I went to Costco today , more for repeat buy items ( bin bags , huge blocks cheddar , loo roll ...all the exciting stuff )

"Do we need batteries" I asked him.
"No" he replies .

Put up some decorations ....we need batteries <sigh>

Yesterday I iced the Christmas cake.

Today I will be ticking another few things off the Christmas food shopping list. I need to pick up tonic water and some soft drinks with the usual weekly shop.

I also need to fix the wreath on the front door that got battered in the storms and half of it is now missing!

Am wrapping some presents with a coffee so it's not a mad rush end of month

I actually must check out what obscure batteries may be needed for DCs santa presents
