I know it's not Game but just as frustrated by Frasers who are part of the same group. I'm getting dribs and drabs of items come through but my main purchases were cancelled within seconds of placing the order as out of stock. I've paid a lot of p&p for what I've got and would never have placed the order otherwise. No way of contacting them, I'm just on a loop of being cut off on chat or emailing the wrong teams. Never again. Shame as previous orders have been OK.

FilthyforFirth · 10/09/2024 12:40

I'm also waiting on the hot wheels garage from Frasers. I'm so annoyed and wont ever order from either again.

Dormouse1940 · 10/09/2024 12:53

Not sure if it's already been mentioned on earlier threads, but The Works has loads of reductions and multibuy offers on atm.
Just started promoting their Christmas crafty bits too, and have Gruffalo/Bluey book advent calendars

Good luck to all who are having problems with Game/Frasers - I really don’t know how they get away with such behaviour 🙀

I stopped ordering from any businesses associated with that group after someone I know lost hundreds of pounds after returning expensive items to HoF but was only refunded for one cheap product. He complained multiple times but got nowhere.

I think paying with PayPal gives a bit of protection, but I hardly ever remember to do that myself.

On a bargain note: Boots are doing a good deal on 3 for 2 on lots of Elizabeth Arden products. They also have some good items in £10 Tuesday such as Olay, Liz Earle and the Soap and Glory Birthday box, (which might be good for a present).

munchbunch12 · 10/09/2024 11:53

Thanks for the heads up @phoebebunny . Were they marked as reduced on the shelf, or still showing full price? There are some in the m&s near me, but they're just with the normal choice and sweets and the shelf edge still shows £8.

They were showing as normal price so was very surprised at the till!

munchbunch12 · 10/09/2024 13:22

Thanks @phoebebunny . I took a couple to a checkout for a price check but they were still full price at mine when they were scanned. It's great that you got lucky though. Perhaps it was a glitch that they'd sorted out by the time I got there?

roonetta · 10/09/2024 13:30

@FilthyforFirth if you can't get through by phone or email, a 'tweet' about poor service usually does the trick Wink. Hope you get it resolved 💖

Dinner set

For anyone who needs extra plates for Xmas I have just spotted this white 12 piece dinner on HOF, £5.99 down from £59.99!

( I hope my link works. I haven’t posted before!)

@beetr00 thanks!!

Baking bottles were £8 in my M&S 😭😭

Cherry liqueur still £5 whoop!

starbright92 · 10/09/2024 14:02

Saw someone mention about 20% off Connetix at the moment. They only go on sale once a year so this is a good time to buy. If you buy from the site Small Kins and use the code 'SMALLKINS' you get an extra 10% discount on top of the 20% off which makes them a brilliant price.

I've just got my boys the ball run set for £60 rather than £85. They love connetix and play with them every day. Without a doubt the number 1 toy in our house!

Does anyone have any good ideas for an advent calendar for an 8 year old girl?

I think I've messed up by getting the bargainous Tom Gates advent calendar from ages ago in the thread for her older brother and now I need to get her something similar !

I always fill a fabric advent calendar with chocolate but I can't give her brother something different with out getting her something too

I ordered it on the 29th also and mine was delivered yesterday. I was worried I wouldn’t get mine and there is no one to contact x

Any gift ideas for grandparents in their 80s? I have six to buy for

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 10/09/2024 15:28

Do you have family you can rope in Tigerlily?

We have done Famileo subscriptions and they're great. You each have an app that you add photos and messages to, and your DGP gets a printed newsletter every week/fortnight/month.

Although the GPs are in Facebook and WhatsApp groups (with varying degrees of success Grin) this is nice because it feels more private than Facebook, and stuff doesn't get lost in comments. My grandparents love them, because it's easier to find pictures in them than scrolling back through months of messages!

HyggeTyggeDotCom · 10/09/2024 15:37

speaking of Smiggle, they currently have up to 20% off sale, advent calendars also discounted

phoebebunny · 10/09/2024 15:58

Ah sorry the baking bottles aren’t working for others. 😭

Roundaboot · 10/09/2024 15:59

sherbertdibdab · 09/09/2024 22:13

Typo have 70% off sale and mystery boxes. They have been popular in past years.

Thanks! They are so good for teenage stocking fillers. 5.25% cashback on Quidco tool

I received an invitation this morning to join the Amazon Shopper Panel. I have been on a waiting list since the Christmas Threads last year 😂. If anyone else joined the waiting list look out for an email.

Thanks for this, I've also been on the wait list for ages and opened the app and it's live for me now. I got excited but it doesn't seem to have the receipts bit, only the surveys. Do you have to wait separately for each section?

Dreamingofwalden · 10/09/2024 16:06

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 10/09/2024 15:30

Here's an example Famileo gazette.

Link

@PolkadotsAndMoonbeams is that your full name and address on it? I'm going to report as it has someone's. Lovely pics though.
