Is it worth having a gift list app? I have done a spreadsheet for years to keep track of gifts/spending. What’s the benefits of having an app? (I’m not knocking it, curious as to whether I should move over to a new system)

Only reason I have one is so I can look at it when out and about. I have a habit of duplicating otherwise and people get too much!

I use a spreadsheet and one year decided to use one of the apps (Gift List) and prefer to stick to my spreadsheet as I can add stuff to it before I buy it to see how much budget it will leave and I can also add links etc to things.

I reverted back to using my spreadsheet 😃

Apologies if I’ve missed it, but are the yoto minis likely to go on sale before Black Friday? Not sure if I can hold my nerve until then haha

Aldi are getting their version of squishmallows in on Thursday this week - including some XL ones for £19.99.

Might be worth doing an advance search. Someone wrote all the sales yoto have had in the past few years. Basically always a black Friday sale but not guaranteed the players will be in it.

Another tip on the app is to write where you have put the presents as they are delivered. No more running round Xmas Eve trying to remember where I hid the stocking fillers!

DC are still very small. There's a cupboard in their room which is right up by the ceiling, so tend to stash everything in there. But aware that is a finite solution!!! .

@okayhescereal new place each year, large items at a friend/neighbour/relative who has a room they never go in. Think of somewhere they would never look, so this year mine are in the boxes at the back of my under stairs cupboard behind the hoover, mop etc

This reminds me of when my sister kept her chocolate stash inside an old cardboard lentils box 😂

My entire house is open plan with zero built in storage. I did not think this through.

I keep my gifts in suitcases, seeing as they won’t be used now before Christmas.

Mine are in the present box under the stairs and then once wrapped they either go in the conservatory that gets closed off for winter or in the garage in two massive bags from JoJo Maman Bebe. I use the Santa’s Bag app which lets you make a note of where they’re stored as well as whether they’re an idea, been ordered, delivered, wrapped and handed over to the recipient.
