I contacted them yesterday to ask where my hotweels garage is.

I think if it's not coming you'd have had a refund by now. Fingers crossed that they arrive.

I also ordered the hot wheels garage on 29/08. It was a bargain for £50.00 . Still saying processed. Hope I get it soon ! Xx

@HelloItsMeAgainHello . If you're sure that would be amazing.Thank you

psuedocream3 · 07/09/2024 12:50

Game had major issues with their website a few weeks ago, lots of people complaining about orders not being sent. To be honest I'm not sure after speaking to customer services if these orders are lost in the nether and they are just pretending all is ok whilst covering up the problem, or if they just have a big backlog they are working through. I'm not hopeful anything will be sent, but it's going to be a while before the held funds are released I expect, paypal terms says they hold money for 29 days.

Can't believe I'm saying this but I'm feeling extra organised this year- I'm stuck as per usual with my brother and SIL. 40s ex holiday reps- I usually buy alcohol for them or I've done hampers in the past eg film night or board games.
Any suggestions welcomed!

The spicery gift boxes mentioned earlier in the thread ar good if they like curry.

Blessedbethefruitz · 06/09/2024 22:33

Can anyone recall the price of the spicery bargain boxes last year? Dp has suddenly decided he does like it after all, so I'm pondering whether to plan one in this year..

I just searched my banking app and I paid £20.50 which may or may not have included delivery.

Not a bargain but hoping someone can help. Hoping to gift a mum and daughter spa day but daughter is only 14. I’m based Cheshire/Manchester so if anyone has any suggestions. I have tried lots of places but they don’t cater for under 16/18.

@Delahot Portland Hall Spa in Southport cater for younger spa goers. You can usually find them on groupon too so might get a bargain. If you sign up for their emails they send lots of offers. I highly recommend.

Look at Crow Wood in Burnley. It’s amazing.

How about an escape room in a box would they enjoy that? Along with nice treats and a bottle of something? Maybe on the theme. Like a pirate escape game and a bottle of rum. (Totally random example that came to mind!)

This might be a cliche but as holiday reps maybe something like karaoke mics or Just Dance?

Vans have an extra 20% off on their outlet store online with the code OUTLET20

IlovePond · 07/09/2024 16:01

If anyone is planning a visit irl to a Rituals store, the one near me had a GWP - travel-sized perfume- with purchases over £45 if you were signed up with them.

I don't suppose anyone has recommendations for places to buy gold jewellery please? I'm wanting a chain for a pendant (the previous one has snapped) but I so rarely buy jewellery that I haven't a clue where to go!

@indecisive09

Cooksongold! They are a wholesaler in Hatton Garden but also sell finished chain to the public.

Sorry if I've missed this already being posted - Elizabeth Arden has a 6 piece gift set worth £70 free with some purchases (code EXTRAGIFT). The sets the code works against start at £20.

Yes thanks to the OP for this one, I bought a gift set of the 8hr gift set £23 free p&p too and the free gift set!

Looblou72 · 07/09/2024 18:09

Shark Speedstyle hairdryer - usually about £149 most places - Brandalley £119.99 - £15 off your first purchase with £3.99 p&p so £108.98 total.

I just did an order on amazon and had to order it to a locker as we have builders in and managed to get a small discount (maybe 5%) off of using a locker! Other people might have that deal and it might be some use?

Also i got this for ds2 either for his November birthday or christmas i havent decided. But i thought it was really cute!

Wait4nothing · 07/09/2024 20:55

Thanks for the board game chat a few days ago. Got cluedo junior from Amazon and had a £5 off £15 spend so added a couple of books (I always get the kids a book for Xmas).
I also picked up travel monopoly in Sainsbury’s this week for £5.

MerylSqueak · 07/09/2024 21:23

I got similar and also 60p cashback at Quidco 😀 Thanks to the original poster..

MerylSqueak · 07/09/2024 21:40

Sorry I thought I had quoted. My message was with regard to the Elizabeth Arden offer.

Annie1290 · 07/09/2024 21:50

I'm not up to date but a few threads ago there was a company with cheap toys for party bags, can anyone remind me of it please?

Arthien · 07/09/2024 22:34

I'm looking to get a kids microphone on a stand for my 3 year old, if anyone has any recommendations?

He loves singing along to live music videos, and he wants to do exactly what his favourite bands are doing, so it needs to be height adjustable to suit singing while playing a guitar or drums! It doesn't need lots of fancy functions, just needs to be sturdy as it'll be used every day.

Any suggestions for something good but also purse-friendly would be great, please and thank you!

FoolShapeHeart · 07/09/2024 23:06

IlovePond · 06/09/2024 19:27

May be good for Xmas presents, Elizabeth Arden have some good reductions and free shipping. Gift sets start from £20.

There’s a free gift set if you buy a gift set with
code: EXTRAGIFT

https://www.elizabetharden.co.uk/collections/gifts

Thanks for this! I chose the £23 8 hour gift set & the extra gift set code also worked with WELCOME15 for 15% off a first order, plus they gave me 2 free samples - all for £19.55
