If anybody is looking for a workaday commuter type inline scooter (not for stunts as they’re heavy) I just got a nice one delivered from Fun bikes - they’re in metallic red or blue (silver one is £10 extra) for £45 delivered, a really good price for these adult ones.
I haven’t used it in anger but it seems nice quality and I like that it has a handlebar brake - they’re good from maybe 9ish to adult, but big and heavy so depends on the user.
i haven’t looked at the site for other bargains but this was a v good price

BiddyPop · 04/09/2024 10:17

@okayhescereal it was the budgeting thread, but there is also a cleaning countdown thread that might be good for preparations too. Both here on the Christmas board.

InDreamland · 04/09/2024 10:22

Sorry if this has already been mentioned and I've missed it - FreePrints have a free mug offer on at the moment. £5.99 p&p though, I think worth it for a personalised photo mug.

Thelittlehouseonthehill · 04/09/2024 10:27

Youknowwhos.co.uk sell ex store clothes mainly but have other bits and pieces on too.
They currently have some BanBao (similar to Lego) sets on at great prices for little extra presents.

Just been into M&S. All the Christmas stuff is now out. I'm not impressed with the range this year. The light up tins aren't nearly as pretty. There's a lovely musical toy shop thing where you can see a little toymaker using a hammer through a window. Word of warning: it's annoyingly loud!

Merry Munch is now £10 a tin. Its simply not worth that IMHO. The light up tea bag tins were quite nice (more cottaggey this year; they've stepped away from the golds and bronzes completely)

Couple of pics attached, anyway.

There were a lot of half price liquers (Cherry Brandy, Amaretto etc) reduced from £10 to £5.

@RainbowZebraWarrior ppfft I’m not paying £10 for it! I only tried it last year for the first time but made myself an alternative for summer with their new nutty clouds, cheap pretzels and jelly beans and it was awesome.

Don't suppose you saw if there were the refill bags for the Very Merry Munch? Kept the tins from last year. Thank you.

lifelongfrugaleer · 04/09/2024 11:14

@beccarooney i get nothing other than the Lakeland stackable ones or lock n lock. Sometimes sestima.
Lakeland have a club that sends vouchers and often have free delivery weekends. The range is about the best place for the others

Timetochangenow · 04/09/2024 11:20

@WeMeetInFairIthilien they do have refill pouches

Bagofsocks · 04/09/2024 11:30

No refill bags in just yet, but if I remember they are usually only a pound or two less. I'm going to do the same as MulberyPeony and make my own. It's mainly the nut clusters I like, and I'm pretty sure they will be easy and fun to make.

Sorry here's the link amzn.eu/d/5lluWXF

This looks so cool. My almost 4 year old has been getting into Lego this year (after I got the starter case via a bargain on these threads last year). But he's always been bus (and most forks of transport obsessed). Love the idea of this for him but he's definitely still too young.

Any ideas on a gift for a 7yo boy. It's actually for his birthday in a couple of weeks. Only a token gift as my DD is going to his party as a friend for his sister. He loves football & anything outdoors. Very active family. They also play a lot of board games. I was thinking of the Taco Cat Cheese Pizza game but welcome any inspiration.

I'd buy him another football. They're basically single use at that age!

VeruccaSalty · 04/09/2024 12:36

Bargain Max had some good board game discounts! Bears Vs Babies, Tacocat and Exploding Minions are the ones I remember off the top of my head. Take20 took a further 20% off some but that might have ended now

VeruccaSalty · 04/09/2024 12:37

I was going to get some stuff from Just Geek but they wanted 8.70 for delivery! The peril of living in NI

Were you able to use the quadruple point too?

Cos1970 · 04/09/2024 13:55

Not a bargain as such but Matalan’s Christmas 🎄 shop is open online (some items are listed as ‘coming soon’.)

I really like Matalan’s Christmas stuff but I think some of their bits seem more expensive this year 😏

Steamie · 04/09/2024 14:03

Just want to thank a poster on here, grabbed 2 of these in Sainsbury’s this morning from £130 down to £45! One will be a gift for my Mum and another for me! Would have just walked straight by them if I hadn’t seen the post!

I grabbed some Sonic bits from Just Geek and signed up to the rewards program. I've popped a link on the referrals board, I think it gets you £5 off. Not sure if there are minimum spends or if it works on clearance items but may be helpful to someone.

The referrals thread can be found here if anyone needs it.

Well it was on today between 11-1pm but I don’t think you were able to combine the offers.
