Does she have a Stanley cup? They are the holy grail in DD13’s group who are all sporty.

Other popular things are Nike pro shorts and sports crop top (wears to gym classes and under training T-shirt and netball skirt.
Nike crew socks are always being replaced.

Thank you. Yes, she has Stanley cup already. I'll take a look at sportswear and happy for more more recommendations.

CookServeEnjoy currently have an up to 70% sale on, some lovely bits, cake stands, water bottles, egg cups, and a range of these joyful tea towels - not everyone's go to for a present I know, but I've just picked up a couple for adult stockings or using to wrap other gifts! Tea Towel Disclaimer - I haven't used this site before, but they have an excellent Trust Pilot review.

@InDreamland

At my DD’s girl school they are definitely into the Nike Pro shorts and leggings ( the short shorts) and White Fox lounge sets / hoodies If you are not familiar with White Fox they are Australian - I would sign up for notifications and buy when they have their 40% off sales. The sets are pricey but nice quality and ok cost wise with the discount. ( you will probably need XS)

ArthriticAardvark · 09/08/2024 12:52

If anyone sees a deal on Stanley cups I would be interested. I ordered one last year when they appeared on this thread but my order was not fulfilled.

The best deal I ever seen on Stanley's is when urban outfitters have their 20% off deals

Studio (part of Frasers Group) have reduced items further and there is very good discounts up to 90% off on toys.
Link

I bought a bunch of unicorn things for my daughter, as well as the Izzy Standing My Little Pony is £5.00, was only reduced to £9.99 yesterday, and other places seem to be selling it around £25.00, it's decently large. Worth it for a birthday party gift if nothing else.

I also picked up a wooden cheeseboard set, and a honey gift set for £2.99 each for a hamper gift (honey lasts forever so no need to worry on dates). I also saw they had colouring pencil sets really cheap, 12 piece was 69p, and the 24 piece was 99p.

Thanks for this, some great bargains. Any idea how to get free delivery? £4.99 is steep for P&P.

@InDreamland Unfotunately not with any of the Fraser Group websites, I ordered 11 things so I look at it that it's only added around 45p to the cost per item which I was still happy to pay.

That's a good way of looking at it. Thanks. Just hope the few edible items are good for dates. Ordering the Baileys hot chocolate and chocolate spoons. As well as the preserves with spirits infusions.

What does everyone put in their Christmas Eve box? I feel like the last couple of years I've gone overboard

I’m glad we never started them. Sorry know that doesn’t help but my advice is to slowly reduce each year.

InDreamland · 09/08/2024 20:22

We don't do Christmas Eve boxes or 1st December boxes in our house, now I get thrown out of the group. I feel like we already spend so much on Christmas presents and experiences our 2 DD just don't need anything extra. We also don't do elf on the shelf. I sound like a right bah humbug now.

InDreamland · 09/08/2024 20:24

Very non-bargainous but just to get into the Christmas mood

HelloItsMeAgainHello · 09/08/2024 20:26

@ArthriticAardvark he's only turned 2 this year so I'm wondering if I just sack them off as I don't think he will remember them 😂 I think it was just a fun thing that I went overboard with for the first 2 Christmas' and now realising it's not sustainable

Us neither! We do fun xmassy 'stuff', but go all out on the day instead.

Take the opportunity now to stop it 😄 don't start the elf either. Too many people I know regretted it and told me not to start. Spend the £ on experiences and making memories.

@HelloItsMeAgainHello we do Christmas Eve boxes and the most expensive bit I wouldn’t do if I was starting again is the pyjamas! (Never seem to get bargains on those for my DDs!)
They do all really look forward to it and it’s been good to keep them entertained and together while we get stuff done. I usually get a cheap craft thing (like a Xmas colouring in tablecloth), hot chocolate sachets and marshmallows, a game (always a bargain like the Xmas articulate or Xmas bingo) and maybe a (cheap / themed) bath bomb each. Then I put in the stuff to make reindeer food (same little bags each year) and Santa’s plate and magic key. We use the same box each year and before we had that it was a gift bag :-)

JustCantBeBothered · 09/08/2024 20:56

Another one that does Christmas eve boxes but some recycled stuff so the magic key, an envelope to send father Christmas a letter, their stockings are inside so they have them to hang, a book and snuggly pjs (but controversially non Christmas ones as I don't see the point the night before!), a hot chocolate sachet or similar. I do Christmas PJ's on "tree up" day which is the day we start going really loopy about Christmas 😃😃😃

White fox will be having a 40% off sale starting Monday at 7pm for 6 hours only.

InDreamland · 09/08/2024 21:06

Thanks again for the Studio tip. There's a few Squishmallows on sale. They seem to have been popular the past couple of years on these threads.
