Apologies if this has been done already, I didn't see one. My DP got me:

T-shirt&mug from favourite band
Skincare from brand I haven't used but looks nice
Small lush gift
Eyeshadow palette

All nice things and I'm very grateful but what I really wanted was an engagement ring 🙃

What did your DP/H get you?Smile

We've never done Xmas presents. We used to take each other out for a nice meal but since the kids were born we haven't done that. So, nothing. Bit sad really!!

Nw22 · 27/12/2023 12:41

A wool scarf
perfume
socks
my favourite Chanel hand cream
some books
and the cashmere blanket I have wanted for ages
together 12 years, married 8. No kids, 1 dog.

Onehappymam · 27/12/2023 12:53

Told him I didn’t want or need anything - as I do every year! - but he still got me a gift.

  • cashmere dressing gown, pyjamas and socks (not something I’d ever buy myself)
  • a print of the church where we got married (the kids went with him to choose it).

caringcarer · 27/12/2023 12:59

A 9 carat gold ruby and diamond necklace with 22 inch chain and matching earrings. An electric cushion, an electric hot water bottle, a new travel mug, Maltesers, an electric jewelry cleaning kit, Quality Street Strawberry cream pouch, a red Cyclamen plant in a red ceramic pot, cat mindfulness colouring book, voucher for a cream tea for 2. I'll probably take my DD. No clothes this year. I was very happy. 😁

An action figure of Chris Pine with a detachable Lute .......
I'm 50, not obsessed with CPine in any way whatsoever, but do love my very random husband.

Babyroobs · 27/12/2023 13:11

A pair of boots, some Emma Bridgewater Chicken themed cake tins, and he made an advent calender where you open the doors and there are various treats for throughout the year like him baking my favourite cake and a meal out to a local restaurant etc( around six different items )

That’s so random but quite lovely! I hope you’ve at least seen the Dungeons & Dragons film?

Ashleysaidwhat · 27/12/2023 13:27

New work bag that I requested
Ugg slippers
Astrid and Miyu earrings for stacking
3 new books (cheesy chick lit)
White company candle
And a shit ton of chocolate 😁

FlourishandBlotts · 27/12/2023 13:41

I am jealous of your Kate Bush umbrella!

SadCelticBunny · 27/12/2023 13:47

I received a peridot and garnet ring (that I had pointed out from my favourite jewellery maker)
Ghosts book
Water bottle, mug and chocolate Brazil nuts (I chose myself)
Marzipan, always get this every year
A map of historical sites in the UK
2 pairs of DM boots from Vinted
Acorn earrings, I love them.
Favourite of all, tote bag with an image of the premises of the Strike and Robin offices in Denmark Street

I was delighted 🤩

Best of all, lots of support as I have been ill recently.
I am very lucky.

BrieAndChilli · 27/12/2023 13:49

A cricut machine. I have been wanting one for a while but couldn’t justify the expense. Both got December bonuses so DH got me this as a surprise and he got not as a surprise a fancy sleeping mat for camping in the winter!

MyLeftKnee · 27/12/2023 14:03

Yes, and I like Star Trek so I think his brain just yelled, 'Aha! she loves Chris Pine!'.

AhBiscuits · 27/12/2023 14:27

A hamper of chutneys.
A waterproof travel bag for period pants.
A Dyson Airwrap.

Reggiebo · 27/12/2023 14:31

Nothing

EllaPaella · 27/12/2023 14:41

Coco Chanel perfume
A book about cold water swimming
Stanley travel mug
Aperol
Cocktail shaker
Fancy bath foam

weegiemum · 27/12/2023 15:49

My best present was Barenaked Ladies tickets for April.

BatshitCrazyWoman · 27/12/2023 15:52

Very happy here - a Diptique candle, a chocolate orange 🍊 and two gorgeous framed prints for my house (we don't live together).

familyissues12345 · 27/12/2023 16:12

Hotel chocolat velvetiser and Foosie boots

Pretty pleased with that, he isn't usually the best at organising presents, claims I'm really hard (I'm really not!), but I love feeling cosy and hot chocolate so he was onto a winner!

Spacemoon · 27/12/2023 16:21

Tickets to a show I've wanted to see for ages, some PJ's, a book, a makeup bag, slippers, wax melts and some earrings.

We don't usually buy each other anything, but we've had a rubbish year so wanted to treat each other.

Ilovelurchers · 27/12/2023 16:38

Really lovely vintage costume jewellery brooch - he knows I love brooches and I asked for this or perfume. He picked really well.

A quite romantic framed print that is personal to us.

Some interesting books most of which I actually will read, second hand (we mostly shop second hand for environmental reasons and because we are not that well off).

A big box of kilner jars in a few different sizes - we have a bit of land we cultivate and I make a lot of jam and chutney and stuff so this is awesome.

A dvd box set my daughter and I will really enjoy.

He's a cracker.

It's nice reading these, and seeing people so happy about the thought and care that has been shown, and seeing the different things that make people happy!

FrogSplash · 27/12/2023 16:43

A hoodie I fell in love with in a specific gift shop when we were on holiday but we had to leave to go to dinner. I was going to go back but never got a chance - he emailed the shop and asked them to send it.
Also some Ugg slippers I'd never have justified buying myself but which 'was the Black Friday bargain of the year' (cause he knows I'd be horrified if he'd paid full price). Both make me smile muchly.

wineandsunshine · 27/12/2023 16:43

A new kindle 😍 my old one was 12 years old so very grateful!

motherofawhirlwind · 27/12/2023 16:44

Laptop
Stackers jewellery boxes
Hotel Choc sleekster
Earrings
Glass coffee mugs
Slippers

All a surprise and excellent choices. He's lovely 😍 and knows me well after 30 years 😁

FuckoffeeBeforeCoffee · 27/12/2023 16:45

A pair of boots that I ordered myself.

A bottle of chocolate liqueur from Hotel Chocolat.

Personally, I hate Christmas / birthday proposals.
