What did your DP/DH buy you?

T-shirt&mug from favourite band
Skincare from brand I haven't used but looks nice
Small lush gift
Eyeshadow palette

All nice things and I'm very grateful but what I really wanted was an engagement ring 🙃

What did your DP/H get you?

A smoking gun (which was what I'd asked for - for smoking cocktails and food, not shooting!)
A lovely soft poncho 'cos he knows I love shawls etc.
A neck massager - because he knows I love a neck rub and he's not always here to give me one (Fnar!)

Very happy indeed!

A Tiffany's necklace which is unbelievable generous considering I filed for divorce 2 months ago he'd have never spent that much on me whilst we were still together which makes it even more surprising

I was very lucky - DH got me a wool trilby hat trimmed with feathers from Holland Cooper that I've been admiring and a Mulberry purse to match the bag he bought me for my birthday.

He's always very generous at Christmas in fairness but it's not always things that I'd perhaps choose for myself if that doesn't sound horribly ungrateful. So I was seriously delighted opening these.

An indoor/outdoor thermometer set (useful) and some cheap socks of undetermined fibre content.

Xbox and a Fitbit. Needed them both however so would have bought them anyway. It was a relief to him I think

Some Rapha cycling kit, new lights for my bike, a framed print of The Hacienda, two Freda Kahlo vases which were very random but I’ve really taken a shine to them, and a backscratcher (which was top of my list!).

A "day off" box. Containing my favourite treats, a book I've been wanting and a suggested menu for the three course meal he will shop for, cook and clean up after on a day of my choosing.
He also got me a set of new Christmas baubles I'd lusted over which were individually wrapped and given to me one a day leading up to Christmas.

I was very very happy!

A new kindle, a lovely candle, luxury moisturiser and some books I wanted. And nice Eataly snacks! I’m very happy.

And my main gift was an overnight spa stay at a local country hotel place for us both. I absolutely adore spa days and I am quite partial to a nice hotel!

We both love Christmas but do find it challenging for family reasons so we do like to spoil each other.

Crap that I didn't want

A heated gilet that has battery packs because I'm cold when WFH, a new travel coffee cup, and that stuff to line the kitchen drawers lol as he heard me saying I wanted to do it! I love practical presents tho, so right up my street!

Very happy indeed. To be fair he is always generous and good at gifts!

I bought my own. He wrapped them. Honestly expected a couple of stocking fillers to show a bit of effort because we've had a shit year and are a bit rocky at the moment.

A really nice knitted dress, which suits me and is very comfortable too! He's very good at choosing me clothes as presents.
