What are you having?

I picked up some Gouda with fenugreek (the best cheese ever), some Gouda with black truffle and some brie.

It's my Christmas Eve tradition. I'll be indulging with some crackers and olives tomorrow evening, while I watch a Christmas movie. And wine obviously.

Wensleydale with cranberries
Boursin

Not posh, but damn tasty.

I cant eat as much cheese as I used to so am limited compared to years ago

And I have been surprised by an aged Gruyere from Lidl, its irresistible

I also think double Gloucester is underrated, people mention Red Leicester a lot but double Gloucester takes the lead for me.

Tbh, I'm impressed you could find some this close to Christmas. My local deli always orders more than they think they'll sell at this time of year, and every year they have none left by 22 Dec.

I feel so sorry for Kirkhams, that's the sort of thing that can ruin a business.

My local cheesemonger included the Lancashire in the Best of British and Christmas Selection so they are emailing everyone on Christmas Day instead of relaxing. Poor sods.

Time for a Boxing Day breakfast in bed.
