This thread title made me think I should make up a 12 days of christmas song for all the main bargains we've got! Thanks@Yalz and @ApiratesaysYarrr for the inspo on the title.

In message two are the links and info from last year - if anyone has anything they'd like me to amend or add, please do tag me and I'll update.

A reminder not to post affiliate links in the thread but that MN do change amazon links shared by posters into MN affiliate links.

Can anyone recommend a diary please.

Needs to be no bigger than A5 and have enough space on each day to write appointments etc with space for notes. Have a lot of things coming up in the new year and need to be able to make a notes of things that need remembering (LC issues/brain fog/difficulty concentrating etc). Thought I would treat myself but haven’t seen much in high street shops. Have realised this year that I can’t be relied upon to enter reminders accurately into phone calendar 😄

I've just bought this https://www.bettys.co.uk/festive-joy-gift-bag for a similar situation. Is reduced to £20 from £25, but you do then have to pay delivery. Thought it made a nice gift as something a little different from the usual box of chocolates. Garden centre vouchers might work too, but they do then know exactly what you have spent.

Argggh sorry this was meant for @Amazonmulu (obviously not a diary but a recommendation for neighbours, obviously not fully woken up yet 😴)

Very tempted by the velvetiser for £50 with the hotel chocolat code but it seems excessive for hot chocolate!

MamaClausToTheRescue · 16/12/2023 07:49

I feel like I’ve just found the holy grail - a good small / stocking filler pressie idea for difficult to buy for men. Thanks to FB ads I came across Nio Cocktails which look like a brilliant (and nicely presented) gift for the Christmas table or as a gift. Reviews suggest they taste great too, with good customer service.

They’re not cheap but you can get a referral code which helps. I’ve just ordered some for my brother and my husband - both are difficult to buy for so I’m quite excited to have come across something they will both like. I’ve posted my referral code on the other board, which takes a box of six cocktails down to £29.

I did this and am going to split it into two gifts and package up with a nice tumbler each. Not a bad gift for about £20 each by the time it is done.

There’s a lot of different types to choose from and some beautiful ‘postcard’ sets with cocktails from a particular place. These look amazing but more difficult to split up so that’s an idea for another time.

Lovelaughter · 16/12/2023 07:57

If anybody is looking for an oodie. 5poundstuff have a few available. They don’t stick around for long and are much cheaper than the oodie website. Always had quick delivery from them.

Crazydogmumma · 16/12/2023 08:02

IsThisIt2021 · 16/12/2023 08:11

I’ve just spent over £60 on hotel chocolat. Telling myself it was one last gift I needed for a friend and a couple of bottles of their delicious liquor for me… so didn’t need them though!

ruralwanderer · 16/12/2023 08:21

@Needtostartover I swear by box clever press diaries and have already bought my 2024 one (third year on the trot that I've stayed loyal to this brand).

Did anyone who used the code for Hotel Chocolat have any difficulties please?

I've added it and it's accepted but no money has come off and it says it doesn't meet the conditions of offer

I e just ordered the Argos Furby as it’s £12 less than what I spent on the one I got from Amazon a couple of weeks ago. Good thing I send the Amazon one back.

stepfordwifey · 16/12/2023 08:34

Are paint sticks any good? Could anybody please recommend a set under £20 for a 5yr old who enjoys colouring. There's a few on Amazon but not sure what to go for.

NormaSnickers · 16/12/2023 08:40

@Needtostartover I always buy my diary from Busy B, A5 size with days on one side of page and notes on the other - think it’s called a “to-do” diary. Great quality, stays in good condition all year and I have stuck with the same type for more years than I can remember now. They have their own website but also sell on Amazon.

mum2three48 · 16/12/2023 08:49

@Needtostartover I have used box clever life diary for more years than I can remember. If you want to really splurge the do a zip cover https://boxcleverpress.com/collections/diary-covers]] I bought my cover about 5 years ago and it is still going strong

VeruccaSalty · 16/12/2023 08:55

@Aaaarghchristmas that happened to me with hotel chocolate, it might be because you have things in an offer, like two for £25?

livingthegoodlife · 16/12/2023 08:57

thay fenwick hamper is an absolute bargain. trying to think of someone to buy it for!

PlanBea · 16/12/2023 08:58

@VeruccaSalty@Aaaarghchristmas I just twitched about 20 minutes ago and had a set of 3 for £24 and a set of 3 for £12 in my basket plus one more thing. Not sure if that helps you or not!

Edited for clarity, I bought more than I'd initially said 😂

I like the Early Learning Centre ones, bright colour but it has washed off clothes/floors etc easily. I got them from the entertainer

Fenwick hamper? I think I'm still half asleep as I can't see one that's been mentioned.

VeruccaSalty · 16/12/2023 09:20

I was just checking out fenwicks hampers, but since I just bought everyone I know some Hotel Chocolat, I can't find an excuse to buy one

Help please ?! I’m looking for a new game for a 20 year old for Christmas. Ideally a card game or small game. Already has Snakess, Uno Flip, Unstable Unicorns, Exploding Kittens. Any new ones out this year we may have missed. Ideally no more that £10. Thanks in advance :)

My daughter and her friends like Monopoly Deal, a card game based on the board game. Looks like it's £5 of £6 from Amazon.

Dogwithagammyleg · 16/12/2023 09:32

I ordered 10 of the Fenwick wine hampers yesterday and they have just arrived with DPD and a very amused driver.

Last year I spit some of them up and I drank the wine and gave away some of the chocolates .

You need to buy 4 to get the extra 15% off. Who doesn't like 4 bottles of fizz? I have just treated myself.
