What are people getting their DHs?

We’re not doing ‘big presents’ but I need to get him some things or he gets nothing. I’d still spend a £100.

He doesn’t drink, he buys what he needs. He doesn’t need clothes. The only hobby thing I could get in (genuinely outing, it’s not cycling) would be incredibly expensive. He doesn’t read books, he never watches the DVDs I get him.

Im lost. Can I hear what others have gotten for some ideas?

We only get stocking fillers so he's getting: Socks, t-shirt, chocolate, miniature liqueur, scratchcard, keyring with photo of our baby boy, keyring with 'this daddy belongs to...'

DH has; Trainers, a jumper (bargain find on Vinted brand new), some Star Wars metal things to make, a new vape and a Lynx set obviously Grin all in approx £95

in previous years I have got him Raybans - half price from their website
A Lego Fender guitar (both him and DD1 play the electric guitar)

I normally always buy new pants and socks but he has loads at the moment.

I've bought mine Sorel boots. A nice to have luxury present at just over £100

Great
now go back to browsing online instead of reminding people of the time they spent in hospital cafes waiting for loved ones to inch their way to death.

i won't say what I really think of you. Glad I caught your name before MN took your nasty, nasty thread down.

maybe someone will get you a injection of humanity for Christmas, though your body might reject it.

It's only when I got to the bit about trying it on that I thought 'hold on' 😄

CoffeeChocolateWine · 12/12/2023 18:18

For my DH, I've bought...
Bottle of Japanese whiskey
Cheese-making kit
Book (Unruly by David Mitchell)
Christmas socks

DC have bought him a cheesy feet cheese board and chocs.

ExpensiveDecorations · 12/12/2023 18:20

I've got mine a Dremmel multi tool as he's always doing odd random bits of fixing and mending. Also various food and drink treats.

Sugarfree23 · 13/12/2023 00:15

I'm a whole lot further forward with ideas than I was a few days ago.
He wants clothes - boring 🙄

I'm thinking a PS4 game, travel speaker, and I cannot decide between getting him a gaming steering wheel which he's made hints about but they are pricy and need a stand or something to clamp too or a backbone controller thing for his phone- again for travelling with work.

His birthday is soon the pressure is on.

Not sure if my list is much use to OP but I’ve gone with

  • clothes (needs new things but hates clothes shopping so went with a range of things- jeans, jacket, shirts, pullover etc)
  • football top (hasn’t had a new one in a few years)
  • molton brown set (had before and loved but obviously didn’t want to spend £££ on buying himself shower gel etc).

Would have liked to have got him something “fun” but he buys himself stuff throughout the year so there’s no games, tickets etc he’d like that he hasn’t already purchased.

I also have got him cologne in the past (still has loads left) and whiskey but he recently bought a bottle and I know my mum has bought him one for Christmas as well.

Babla · 13/12/2023 00:54

A doing present?

As in tickets for day out/theatre/gig/concert etc

Mummyofthewildones · 13/12/2023 00:55

Some lovely FatFace lounge pants with Bacon, eggs and toast on and silly breakfast puns, nice printed travel mug with photos of the kids on, wireless earbuds x
