Have you put your tree up yet?

We did it yesterday which is early for me. I went up in the loft, got everything down, stuck the two halves of the tree together and dc decorated it. I usually make a big deal of it but it was easy this year and looks lovely!

Nope. Will be going up next Sunday, as we're visiting family on the 9th & DH is working & 2 of the dc have plans the 16th & 17th.

@AthenaWhite they are stunning. My partner has one from every decade from the 70's with authentic decorations. It's taken very seriously :)

I was going to this weekend but big dump of snow means that we've been sledging instead and I couldn't put the outdoor lights up.

No. It will go up once dc have finished school. We did put up some lights and advent decorations yesterday for the first of advent today.

I keep mine up for New Year and Twelfth Night so it's still too early for me. Your trees are amazing @AthenaWhite. My living room is very small so I have to go for a slim tree but I love those large trees that reach the ceiling. They always make a room look like it's from a Hollywood classic movie, like It's a Wonderful Life

We are normally second week of December, and would usually say its too early. However dd1 had her away hockey match cancelled yesterday due to the bad weather, so we took the chance to put it up. We have plans the next two weekends so would have had to squeeze in putting the tree up somewhere.

I got it all down from the loft about an hour ago, and am now recovering from the exertion. Once I've had a cup of tea I'll start looking through it all. We have decades-worth, and have decided that we need to part with a lot of it. DD has her own place now so I'm hoping she'll take some away.

A couple of weeks ago, no tree but lots of lights, more of a seasonal thing rather than Christmas really.

Pre kids I’d have never done it this early. I’d have probably put it up next weekend.

however, we’re busy both days next weekend, my DD was excited, i had a spare few hours today so it made the most sense to get it up today.

Not yet. Here in Spain we have a long holiday next week: 6, 7, 8 and then the weekend, so it'll go up some time then. We have to replace our clapped out tree that lost three big lower branches last year!

Nope. Mine's going up on January 7th for 3 days as that's when DD is coming to stay for a few nights so we shall be having our "Christmas" then.
We will have some decorations up over Christmas, just not the tree.

I never put a tree up as my DS flew the nest a long time ago and he never bothers either.
However all that snow up north has turned my head soft and I have bought a flat pack tree fully decorated with lights. You just stick it on its pole and pull it down then switch it on. Laziest tree ever.
I'll put it up as soon as it arrives.

Not until the 16th. Am actually pondering whether to have a tree. We are hosting Boxing Day for DH’s family this year, about 24 people, and the tree takes up a lot of prime sitting room real estate.

We bought ours this afternoon & DH is about to decorate it. I bought a load of baubles 70% off in the January sale so he’s definitely going to use those.

Mine went up Friday night. Rest of the house decorations and bedding yesterday and this morning. Not long put the boxes etc back up in the attic. House looks and feels sparkly!

No. But everywhere I look online people are posting photos of their trees and I’m judging how shit some look. 🤣
