So many Christmas Trees popping up on FB already. I've had another 4 friends today 🤦‍♀️ I mean each to their own, but it's still November. When did Xmas start being a 2 month year of decorations? I'm fed up of seeing captions, 'It's beginning to look like Christmas'. Sucking the joy out of it. I'm not a Grinch, honest lol 😆

Personally I find people who cling so tightly to “tradition” or customs more tedious - as though that makes them more virtuous or something. If it doesn’t affect others then just let people live their lives whether that’s putting the tree up a little early or using their fork and knife in the “wrong” hands or whatever else silly made-up societal rules they want to break. It doesn’t make them mentally or socially deficient…

Completely agree about the sad rush to Christmas. I get what people say about each to their own etc and of course do what you want in your own home but I do feel Christmas is in our faces on the High Street for months with all the ridiculous Christmas food products and pressure to spend money. A lot of it is simply about retailers making money. I don’t dislike Christmas itself but would rather have a special few days celebration around the 25th rather than this over the top commercialism we have in the UK. Doesn’t seem to be like this as much in European countries - most of them seem to do Christmas in more of a low key tasteful way IMO. Tbh I find so much of this festive sparkle just tacky! 🤣
