6% Cashback on TopCashback too!

@TreesandRug - that looks like a really lovely book. Recipient is not a reader (in any way, shape or form) and would be quite put off by a book. He really loves taking things apart and tinkering around, but very much on his own terms - not what a book/instructions tell him to do. Does that make sense?

I really appreciate all the suggestions and ideas. Such a lovely thread full of lovely people

Theraffarian · 10/11/2023 19:06

@unicornwonders it told me I would get £5 for signing up , it did take a few days to come through, but then when it did they credited my account with 2 £5 vouchers , not sure why , but someone else here mentioned they got the same extra bonus .

Dee1224 · 10/11/2023 19:07

Thanks @MadeForThis

@Ilovepugs2017 - I see that the slightly sewn up pockets are a feature on the actual Oodie site too.

I think mine must be the old styling with the huge rectangular pocket, which might explain why it was on everything 5pounds even though it’s perfect. (Unless the large rectangular rather than diagonal pocket is a fault, but I don’t think so.)

I am tempted to order the panda for DH but he would get it filthy within five minutes of wearing!

Put the wax melts/burners in my boots basket…but I don’t need them🙃

Dee1224 · 10/11/2023 19:15

Thanks @XmasShoppingsister

Dee1224 · 10/11/2023 19:33

@Ilovepugs2017 Embarrassingly I have just realised that my Oodie also has partly sewn pockets- I wouldn’t mind, but I am actually wearing it and didn’t notice 🙈

On an unrelated note: Does anyone think Lakeland might have another big money off offer for BF? I am so annoyed at not ordering hampers when I found/should have done!

Filterphobia · 10/11/2023 19:45

@PopcornAndGummyBears DS has had this smart house kit last year and really enjoyed it. I’m not sure if it’s a bit too much though at £39.99

Annoyingly it’s £29.99 but OOS on Wicked Uncle where we bought it from.

I find Wicked Uncle are great for geeky/tech type sets though so if this is no good maybe there will be something else there for him.

I'm feeling immense regret that my kids stockings are norma size, like 8 v small gifts max, with all the bargains and ideas on here. But I don't like the idea of sacks!

Mine have standard sized stockings too! I think it's good....it sets a limit on how much stuff I can be tempted to order 🤣.

Blessedbethefruitz · 10/11/2023 20:03

@ThreeRingCircus See I thought this, it would limit the spending and make it special. But I can never fit in what I've bought!

PissedOffNeighbour22 · 10/11/2023 20:08

@PurpleSkittle The ulster weavers code was only valid for 7 days and for full priced tea towels only.

Snap! There's 'spilled ' out things all around them!🤣

Looking for a nice hoodie or tshirt for DS17s birthday on Monday. Have just realised I have v little to give him (main present money for driving lessons)! Any good discounts on brands like Vans/ North Face/ Nike/ Urban Outfitters? He likes things that are a bit different...

WidowedMum · 10/11/2023 10:43

@Pigeonnoir I’m obsessive about picking trees, have lost count of the number I’ve ordered and returned over the years! 😳 Shockingly I’ve found the best trees from the supermarkets, my last two have been Tesco and Asda! If you want something grander I’ve seen a lot of posts online about people getting them from jd Williams too, happy hunting!

Thankyou on the hunt now!

Code is still working though. I just checked out a basket of 11 tea towels for £30.80 including free shipping.

Any hamper bargains around? Budget up to £100.

MouseTheDog · 10/11/2023 20:38

@Dee1224 I hadn’t long got home and put the oodie straight in the wash and then remembered I was meant to take a photo of the pocket 🙈🫣 will take one when it’s finished washing

ZiggyZigAh · 10/11/2023 20:44

This thread moves soooo quickly! Does anyone have a Argos code?

Puffalicious · 10/11/2023 20:47

Also following up on suggestion of Lego NY Postcard from a PP earlier. Cheapest from Lego store itself, but object to £4 P&P for a £13.50 item. I would go into store, but I'm in bed with ruddy Covid. Any way of free/ reduced postage anyone knows of?

In my search found this Groot. It's excellent- we got it last year- bigger than anticipated & really nice. Cheapest I've seen it. £33.99 down from £44.99. It was as high as £55 last year.

I’ve got an offer in my John Lewis membership- something like £10 off £75 on hampers- so not mega bargainous & presumably account specific too
